  Have you tried Microsofts Fix - it Tool? It is reported to remove office at the normal time of uninstallation fails.

Trying to install Vipre antivirus, to halfway through the installation, I am advised to uninstall Norton 360 (14/09/2008) before the end of the installation.  Trying to uninstall Norton 360 (which I've never installed on my PC), 21 error seems to prevent the elimination of this ghost software...  Using the search tool does not work.   A few days ago I saw the Amazon UK site for the current cost of the Norton 360 for 5th edition.    Anyone have any ideas on how to remove that point of thugs?    Any help would be appreciated.

  Thanks for your suggestions...  Under Program Files (C drive), I traced the supply of the software Norton 360 under "Setup my PC" and deleted these files.  However, looking at the Norton Removal tool seemed a trifle compkicated and may have caused other problems. So instead, I downloaded the FREE Avast internet security software on my Vista PC and no problem.  Also, prevoiusly, I had successfully installed VIPRE on my other two PC running XP., on a trial period of 15 days.    My idea is to keep things works fine without hassle.
