Impossible to update Acrobat Standard XI

I have a client with about 8 users and so far I have had problems with 2 workstations. They require an update to Acrobat XI and an error message that the installer has sufficient permissions to modify some files in the installation directory. I read the provided article, deleted the software, deleted all files associated with and registry entries, reassigned permissions for root folders and reinstalled. Even reinstalling Acrobat we run into the same error, however a new attempt on each file allows the installation finish. I have check the updates and always find updates and meet exactly the same set of errors during the installation. I am at this stage of ideas and need help please.

    Please, try the following steps:

    Delete all the files in the following folders:

    C:\ProgramData\Adobe\SLStore

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\SLCache

    And delete all the files in the folder following except cache.db

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\ Adobe PCD

    Then launch Acrobat, accept EULA and re-enter the serial number and check.

    I tried to update Acrobat several times and continue to run into a problem. Acrobat does not update unless I turn off Notifications of Safari, but I already left out of Safari. I opened the option "Force quit" to see what was going on, and all that Safari is closed permanently. Help, please!

  • Impossible to update Acrobat Pro

    When I try to upgrade to the latest minor version (9.3.3) Acrobat Pro, I can't complete the operation due to a dialog box that appears in the background and can not be moved to the foreground. To finish, I have to click a button in this dialog box, but it is impossible, and I have to force - quit the update.

    This bug was already in the previous version of Acrobat, and despite the fact that I and others pointed out, it's still there. Maybe someone knows how to solve the problem without waiting for a fix?

    I'm on Windows 10.  When I click search for updates now, one, opens the window Adobe Update Manager asking me for authorization for the program continued.  After that I give him permission, nothing happens.  Help!

    Acrobat 7 is not fully compatible with any version of Windows beyond Windows XP! You must upgrade to Acrobat DC for full compatibility Windows 10 as well as compatibility with any version of time reasonably modern Microsoft Office.

    I am trying to upgrade Acrobat Professional 7.0 to 7.1 and all other updates available for this product acrobat who came to the part of the software Adobe first CS2, purchased in 2004.     Updates AA7 to AA7.1.3 is part of the support that is given for free. This is why it is labeled as a minor version (x.1, etc.) and not a new version of 'y '. Basically, you look at the difference between an update and an upgrade. You were not the AA7 upgrade, but to update. The upgrade to version 9 (all that is available from Adobe at the moment) is at a cost of about $150 or more. I could be wrong. You can visit the Adobe store for the cost of upgrade. You may be able to purchase an upgrade from a seller also, but be careful to make sure that the seller you are dealing with is trustworthy. An upgrade at low prices can be a sign of a rip off.

    My situation: I bought Adobe Acrobat Pro (version 8) for Max OSX and subsequently bought an update to version 9 (Acrobat Professional). However I'm unable to update the software that I receive on the message that the software is not in it's original configuration (plugins are missing). I should correct this problem which could be done by reinstalling the software. However, who advises did not work for me.

    When I select the REPAIR option (my version is in Dutch, I don't know if the REPAIR is the menu item in the English version, but it is an option in the HELP menu) in version 8, there is nothing to fix. In version 9 I can fix the Adobe PDFViewer Safari plugin and the plugin from the Adobe PDF printer. After the repair of these plugins, I get a pop-up confirming that everything is fixed. However: the update is still not installed and when I asked to REPAIR again, it seems that the same plugins still need to be repaired.

    So: it seems to be the case that I am unable to fix these 2 plugins in version 9.

    One of you knows this problem? If so, (how) did you solve this problem?

    The repair under the Help menu will not help in this instance. You will need to uninstall Acrobat 9, and then reinstall it. :-( I would recommend setting permissions before you reinstall Acrobat 9.

    Trying to follow the exact same steps to update Acrobat Standard DC I used with Acrobat X Standard and not having not success. Hope someone could weigh, tell me what I'm doing wrong.

    I downloaded the installer of"base" (Acrobat_2015_Web_WWMUI.exe) on the Adobe licensing website. I extract it and end up with a lot of different files, including the file AcroPro.msi, which is version 15.006.30033 according to the Orca and the Adobe Customization Wizard.

    So, I downloaded the latest quarterly patch (Track Classic - Acrobat2015Upd1500630094.msp) from the Adobe Downloads site.

    From a command prompt, I ran the following:

    msiexec /a d:\adobe\acropro.msi/Update Acrobat2015Upd1500630094.msp

    After a minute or two, complete the update. I check the version of the file AcroPro.msi and he now reports 15.006.30094.

    I remember some time seen this problem (lack of in the Data1.cab files) and it is the result of my tent to apply quarterly patch to a MSI already patched, rather than applying the quarterly patch to the base msi. But as far as I know, is happening here - I apply the patch at the base MSI.

    Looks like you need to create the agreement in principle to Installer base first, then deploy. I recommend the following steps to create a patched AIP:

    Download the installer of LWS exe and extract it in a folder on the computer.

    1. create an agreement in principle for the basic version of Acrobat by using the following commands (Basic version):

    msiexec /a TARGETDIR =

    2. apply the Patch (MSP) using below command (you'll get the msp in the extracted folder of ):

    msiexec /a /p

    You will get a patched AIP.

    3. install the AIP created using the following command:

    msiexec /i

    I would like to know if it works.

    Acrobat 7 is not supported and an older version of Acrobat.

    Also, it is not compatible with Windows 7.

    No, unfortunately, only Acrobat 10 and 11 are still eligible for the upgrade to Acrobat DC.

    If you buy Acrobat Standard you can install it on one or two computers (for your personal use only). Don't think of it as an update or upgrade, at least not when you do shopping; You can't buy at the price of the upgrade.

    It runs on the computer, it is installed on only. It is not based on the web.

    About 8 months ago, we installed about 40 + Adobe Acrobat Standard 9.0 installations throughout our environment.  We then had the time to create a completely hands-free installation .msi, which turns off the automatic update feature and configures one a little more objects.

    My question is:

    How can I disable this function on Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Standard without having to go in edition > Preferences and then uncheck it?
