Impossible to update security details of my account

Original title: security details

I am asked to change my password. Then I logged my account in microsoft.com. It seems that I can not update my phone (my previous laptop number has been lost) in the details of the account and he told me that I would receive a code for verification. What should I do so that I can receive my new number verification code

Thank you! :)

I suggest you take a look at:

If the problem persists, contact Windows Live support.

The ViewObject (VO) you use for the query is not based on an EntiryObject (EO). Only your EOs based are able to update the data. You can do two things:

    (1) base you VO on an EO

    (2) use the retail ID to open a form in a different VO, inspired by the EO and modify the data here. An example for this can be found here http://tompeez.wordpress.com/2011/07/31/using-diferent-vos-for-master-detail-navigation/

    Thank you!

You must order the DVD of recovery by phone. I'm sure that that are not covered by the warranty, as after the initial installation of the laptop you should have been prompted to create the DVD and are not included in the cost of the laptop.

Give HP a telephone support call, they will have an exact answer for you. I am sure that these DVDs are only about $15 - $ 25. You can contact HP Technical Support at 1-800-474-6836 in North America. For all other regions click here.

  • Impossible to update SSL certificate for Mail account

My SSl certificate has expired. I bought a new one installed and all other mail client works fine... except this junk called Mac Mail. Now, I can't check my email at all.

It is a valid, rather than a self-signed certificate.

  • Impossible to update of Windows Media Player and Microsoft Security Essentials and the error is "access denied error 80070005."

Apparently an involuntary change of administrative privileges or permissions (Windows XP Pro, SP3) keeps me updated Media Player version 9 to 11 v. and updated virus Security Essentials definitions.
For Media Player, wmsetup.log reports access denied error 80070005 and UpdSpAPI.log reports access denied for the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Settings\MP3Encoding\LowRate registry key. In regedt32, I'm blocked from display HKLM\...\MediaPlayer\Settings and below, and "are allowed to view the current permission settings, but... can make a change." Except that I can't. I can enter the change but get «...» Access is denied"trying to apply them. So this is the first problem that I need help.
But of course it's more than a registry key and the subkeys, because MSE too is affected and will download but not install virus definitions. WindowsUpdate.log reports: failed to install with error 80070643.
My user account (it's the only one!) is part of the Administrators group and all that I tried to verify administrative permissions is positive. This is a new issue. No virus/malware, according to MSE, Lavasoft Ad-Aware, MalWarebytes Anti-Malware.

I don't have any security/antivirus suite & have the firewall off the coast.

    I see.

Personal data backup (which none should be considered 100% reliable at this point) then format the HARD disk and do a clean install of Windows.  Please note that a repair installation (upgrade AKA on-site) will NOT fix it!

HOW to do a clean install of Win7: see "using the custom installation option" and formatting the hard drive section of http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Installing-and-reinstalling-Windows-7

Once installed the clean, you will have the equivalent of a "new computer" in order to take care of everything on the next page before connecting the machine to the internet or one local network (i.e. other computers) and before using a player flash or SD card that is not brand new, or has not been freshly formattedotherwise:

  • Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit, impossible to download security updates

I'm unable to download the updates of full security for Windows Vista Edition.  I have experienced the same problem last year, and now he's back.  I get error code A 80071, 30, but there is no code in the list to tell me what this code means.  This is the exact code that was back last year when my security updates failed.  So I do not know how to proceed.   The last time I met this problem, that it took 2 hours of phone with a technician to repair.  No, I see that I can not contact a technician.  Can someone help me?

    Here is some additional information:

I already have components of update of Windows that did not help the rest.

    Browser: IE 9.0.4

    Security: McAfee

    Hi MaryMcGovern,

You did changes to the computer before the broadcast took place?

    Method 1
I suggest you try the steps from the following link:

Cannot install updates in Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2509997

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following article: back up the registry in Windows Vista
Note: Running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data can be lost.

    Method 2
I suggest to perform cleanup starts, then download and install the updates from the Microsoft Download Center.

  • I had the virus "XP Antivirus 2012" and now impossible to update MSE

I had the virus "XP Antivirus 2012" and now impossible to update MSE.  Yesterday, I downloaded the Scanner of MS on another computer and transferred to the computer infected in safe mode and ran the Scanner from Ms.  Fortunately, it removed the virus, but this morning I started the computer and check the updates on MSE, but he would not check.  A window titled "Microsoft Security Essentials" read, "Security Essentials could not check the updates antivirus and antispyware due to internet or network connectivity problem."  He was also the error code: 0 x 80248014.

Can my firewall Windows or Security Center maintain MSE? Or should I do something else?

Probably a corrupted Winsock, try running the Fixit 50203 (scroll down page)

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/811259

If it is impossible to access the Fixit on your own computer try dl on another computer as you did with the Safety Scanner.

Have you tried the bleepingcomputer.com removal guide / http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-xp-antispyware-2012 (again may require the use of another computer in mode minimum to dl and file transfer)

Since you use MSE, have tried the Safety Scanner but still have problems consider contacting support.

    Start here - https://support.microsoftsecurityessentials.com/

and select the link that says - I think my computer is infected. Options vary from
