jhefer3 wrote: My virus protection and Internet security is provided by Norton 360, is underway and is updated automatically successfully.

I used the fix tool, but not in the aggressive mode. I have not tried a reset because many of the reset of values seem to be for 32-bit machines.

Another version of Norton 360 (i.e., N360 2008) has already been installed on the computer?

A Norton or McAfee free trial come preinstalled on the computer when you bought it?

The FixIt and reset are the same thing. Open an instance of IE 32 bits (not IE 64-bit) for http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058, click the FixIt icon and choose Aggressive mode this time. Hello Trinsic,

Since there is a corruption with the packages on your system (shown in the papers above), it can be advantageous to try to run CheckSUR to automatically repair packages. If this fails, you will need to follow the instructions here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee619779 (WS.10) .aspx to repair the corrupt package

  • Impossible to verify updates

My son iphone4s does not update why is this

I guess it's because it is updated. The latest iOS for the iPhone's iOS 9.3.5. May not support iOS 10. If it's an iPhone 4, then the last iOS is 7.1.2.

  • Impossible to verify updates or install apps

    I've tried everything

    -restart

    -hard reset

-update to 9.2.1 using iTunes (also updated iTunes to latest version)

-Connected to my Apple account and

    -Reset network settings

-Reset to factory settings (including clear my iPhone)

But nothing helps! I still can't install/update apps from the AppStore, or control upgrade (to message: "unable to check for updates")

  • Problem updating Windows "impossible to verify updates because the service is not running."

Am having a problem with Windows Update on my laptop (Vista). Receive a prompt that displays "cannot check the updates because the service is not running. You may have to restart your computer. Yes, I restart. That is what it is?

I had the same problem on Vista 3 PC based over the weekend and did what follows with quick success after many corrections suggested on this site:

    * go to services and stop the Windows Update Service

    * locate C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\folder & remove all it's content (if you have step 1 any content does not correctly as they will be in use by another program)

    * restart the Windows update service

    * ask to check updates

All mine quickly searched and downloaded all updates applicable, installed and done!

I hope that it works easily for you too :)

  • RH8 - impossible to verify updates

    Hello

RoboHelp, if I go to the Help menu, I see the "Updates" option is grayed out. So I believe that previous versions, this is supposed to be always an option at any time, you can check if updates are available. My guess is that it could be a permissions problem, in which case it does not allow me to check, but I could be wrong. Is it possible to fix this?

    Thank you.

First 802 is the latest then there you something there.

When there is an update, you will need to give you local administrator rights or log on to themselves, apply the patch and then close.

    Hi Sheikh R,.

You seem to have two software antivirus/firewall in real-time installed, Norton and Avira which can cause stability problems.

Can you uninstall Norton and Avira and see if that helps.

For security software consider using just firewall and antivirus integrated Windows 8 (Windows Defender).

I would also uninstall the c:\windows\system32\drivers\sptd.sys pilot who has been known to cause blue screen errors in some configurations.

Uninstall the application that has installed the driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\sptd.sys, maybe it's Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120%.

Then, uninstall the c:\windows\system32\drivers\sptd.sys - see "How can I remove driver SPTD on 64-bit operating system?" in the following link:

  • I tried to download windows 10 but I get this error message: Code 80072EFD

    can someone please?

    Try to upgrade manually:

    Option 1:

    Download the media creation tool

Click with the right button on the MediaCreationTool.exe file and then click on run as administrator.

Note: How to check if you are downloaded or installed the update Windows 10 November

How to create an ISO or USB drive.

Select upgrade this PC now and then click Next

    Option 2:

    Task of pre-required

When you make significant changes to your computer for example updated operating system, you must always back up. See the links to resources on the backup by clicking the link for each version of Windows you are using: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1

    then

    then

    • Turn off (preferably uninstall) your Antivirus utility before you perform the upgrade.
    • Reboot several times, and then try again.
    • Disable the general USB peripherals (for example - smart card reader).
    • If you are using a SCSI drive, make sure you have the drivers available for your storage on a thumdrive device and it is connected. During the installation of Windows 10, click on the advanced custom Option and use the command load driver to load the driver for the SCSI drive. If this does not work and the installer still fails, consider switching to an IDE based hard drive.
    • Perform a clean boot, restart, and then try again.
    • If you upgrade to the. ISO file, disconnect from the Internet during the installation, if you are connected in LAN (Ethernet) or wireless, disable both, then try to install.
    • If you are updated through Windows Update, when download reaches 100% disconnect from the LAN (Ethernet) Internet or Wi - Fi, then proceed with the installation.
    • If this does not work, try using the. ISO file to upgrade if possible.
    • If you are connected to a domain, go to a local account.
    • If you have an external equipment, attached to the machine, unplug them (example, game controllers, USB sticks, external hard drive, printers, peripherals not essential).

  • Error code: 80072EFD, impossible to find the solution to make windows update work

OK, so I just recently returned from the school where Windows Update worked perfectly.  When I got home he stopped work at all, give me the error code: 80072EFD. (I'm using Vista Ultimate 64 bit)  I tried everything on the support page and nothing works.  It might be my router somehow or something else?

    WestCoastGirl,
I suggest that you go get the Norton removal tool and run do so that there is no trace of it remaining.  It seems that you might have an infection already.  Take a look at this thread because it has some great info on virus\malware: get rid of malware
