Impression of disorder booklet

I work for a commercial printing company, and we print books all the time on our digital press Xerox C75.  I have a 24 page booklet created in InDesign CC impression on 6 sheets of paper 11 x 17, 2-sided, which we booklet folding and stapling on the printer.  I use Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.1.  My layout is 12-11 x 17 pages, and I manually put the 8.5x11 pages in the "spreads":

Page of the document 01:24 / 1

Page 2 of the document: 2/23

The document 03:22 page / 3

Page 4 of document: 4/21

The document Page 05:20 / 5

Page 6 of the document: 6/19

Page of document 07:18 / 7

Page 8 of the paper: 8/17

The document Page 09:16 / 9

The document Page 10:10 / 15

Page of the document 11:14 / 11

Page of the document 12:12 / 13

That's how I always have available a brochure.  But when I print it double-sided booklet and assign the brochure (outside) fold and staple Centre (stapling), pages come out in the wrong order.

The book ends in the following order:

1, 22, 21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, blank (23), blank (2), 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 24

Pages 22 and 23 are empty, so it is difficult for me to tell which is which.  I think I have it correct above, but it could be 2, then 23.

The thing I don't understand, is that the booklet is printed mostly in reverse order, but not completely.  Outside of the printing of blankets where they belong, but the Interior print in the middle of the brochure.  And all other pages in the book prints in reverse order.

I printed this booklet before with no problems. What I did this time was open and click on print.  I think that there must be some small step, I forgot, or some setting that has changed I forgot, but I keep going on it and it prints never right.  I literally print brochures every week, it seems strange that I forget something, but I don't know what it could be.

Reflections on what I might have missed?

It turns out that the box 'Print blank Pages' had not controlled, and he threw my page order.  When I checked that again everything returned to normal.

I knew there must be something stupid!

Thanks for your help, everyone!

Ok. This is what worked for me. I bought a HP 8600 PRO Wireless today, Sam's Club set it up to print plain paper. Everything was fine. The printer looks bad pick up the first two pages, but then picked up the other four pages and printed. A total of six pages printed on 65 lb, 8.5 "x 11" card stock. I hope this works for you all.

  • OfficeJet 6700 ink bleed when on glossy or matte paper

I bought a new 6700.  I tried two types of glossy paper.  Printing out very blurry and smear to the touch.

I put the paper on the dull side.  Still, it's horrible and smear.

I put plain cheap paper.  It does not get dirty but we notables thin white lines across the page.

Is there something I can do or do I have to return to the printer?

    Thank you

I called the help line, got a friend in India, which had me going slowly through the beginning stages by using the printer as a copier. I put the output to the glossy Brochure by using the touch screen, and the brilliant impression came out perfectly.  Then I tried to print from the computer, and it worked perfectly as well.

Now that I had carefully set the parameter of the glossy printer properties dialog before and got the impression of disorder that do not dry.  I guess the lesson here is to make sure that a brilliant impression out of wells, set the printer for glossy manually by using the touch screen.

  • Print the Brochure Bugs?

    Hey there,

I have experimented recently with Acrobat (the most recent CC version) to print the brochure. Taxation works very well, but it seems there are two bugs or missing features.

The first bug: you cannot choose to print marks (Advanced - marks and bleed). It is gray...

    Screen Shot 2015-06-18 at 20.34.18.png

The second problem/bug: when you print a PDF (for example with the following parameters), I get about 2 mm white space in the seam/fold. You won't notice it on a white background, but when you print pictures or colourful backgrounds covering the full broadcast, then you have a white space in the middle. UH!

    Screen Shot 2015-06-18 at 20.40.17.png

Could someone please help? How can these bugs may be officially declared?

    Thanks in advance!

PS: Ignore the selected printer. I normally print PDF files to work with an A3 printer...

PPS: Unfortunately, you cannot tell InDesign to not print the marks inside the pages, that's why I want to add in Acrobat...

PPA: In InDesign, I checked 'facing Pages' and there is no bleeding inside the pages, so this isn't the cause of the deviation of white...

The Acrobat and Reader booklet printing feature has was never designed to be a feature of tax documents. It was a dirty ability make an impression very simple booklet on low range of consumer printers.

For better or for worse, there is a problem that during placement, for example, two pages to the letter-size on a sheet of grand book we, the two pages are "narrowed" to fit in the print device "imageable area" (usually take a quarter of an inch, or so, depending on the device, around the entire page). I'm trying to get an option to ignore areas nonprinting margin for purposes of printing of the brochure. That would solve the second problem for the correct Assembly of pages (like in the US letter / scenario gives us).

The fact is, however, if you want or need document real support imposition of Acrobat, there are plug-ins from third parties who are quite complete labor with all the bells and whistles you need. Include "Pretty impressive" any software and 'PDF Snake.'

  • Booklet print preview mode is fine, but real impressions are false

I have a document of 24 pages. I am trying to print the booklet using 2-top stitching horse. The preview in the print booklet dialog box looks great - everything is in place as it should. But when I print it, in fact, it prints the same as the preview. In the screenshot below, you can see the page 4 has a picture of a tree, and page 21 has a single line of text. On the actual printing photo, you can see that the tree is printed on the right (that is, the bad side of the page), and the other actually page 23 page!

I'm pulling my hair out. My document is a multiple of 24 and I have none of the white pages in the document, and even if I did, those who are defined to print. What is going on?

Print booklet is a mess, not only my opinion but also in the view of many members of the Adobe staff.

Impose should not be the task of the designer, it is the task of the printer. You need to export single pages and bring them to your printer, if you need to make a small pamphlet, export as PDF and print as brochure of the Acrobat print dialog box. So that you can avoid postscript.

  • with smart Photo 7520 booklet printing problems

I have Windows 8 & just bought HP Photosmart 7520. I'm having a lot of problems with printing as a booklet.

On the hand print Page , I chose "landscape", 1 page per sheet, & left binding. Also define the subset of booklet for "both parties".  I put the size of the paper to "Adjust the actual size" (in fact the paper size does not seem to matter). I make sure that the 'booklet' is highlighted too.

This is where things get hairy: my impressions are turned upside down when printing on both sides.

    1. I checked under the section 'Properties' that will 'Layout' & have tried to "Flip on short edge" without control "auto rotation" on the main print page
    2. I tried the same thing as above but in «back long edges»
    3. I check 'auto' turn on home page, & he checked "Flip on short edge" under properties
    4. I repeated #3 & checked "Flip on long edge" under properties

Is there something else I can do?  I'm so frustrated! (By the way, I had to go through trial & error with my first HP all-in-one, too - my 5510, but with different options of your choice) Why is it so complicated?

    Help!

I did #1 & #2 as you said under Properties / page layout; "" but I discovered this: - in the page size, - DO NOT hit "booklet" under the section layout (do in the main print section.) Page per sheet must be marked as "1" (booklet will make 2 pgs appear side by side on the half of a complete pg) also, I discovered "Flip on Long Edge" worked.

Then on the main print section I continued to keep the subset as "both sides", linking as a 'left', & Yes, portrait orientation was right (Bravo!).  I have NOT checked "auto rotation"I put the size of the page 'clean'. "  I clicked on the icon of the libretto, then to print the value * (see the tip below)

It took 2 tries to do things.  Which is weird, it's print preview showed two of them looking for the same thing, but as I said, the 2nd try worked.  Yay! I hope this will help many others.

    * Another tip: on the homepage print where the section named the pages you print, type the words "Page" next to the number.  I typed in "Page 1 - Page 4" & I got a good sampling of the entire brochure & how it would print.

  • Photosmart 5520: conflict of impression of HP 5520

In Microsoft Powerpoint 2010 I have created a booklet of 36 pages, I need to make a booklet from A5 double sided.

Everything seems perfect, page orders are correct.

Everything looks a lot like the preview screen before printing.

    1 print all pages.

    2. the blades of 2 per pages.

    3 together.

    4 multi-page, landscape.

    Properties of the printer.

    1. orientation landscape. As soon as I click on the booklet it comes up with the message conflict message error "format of A4 paper. 2 Facer impression, return on the long edge.

Need help please, I'm at my wits end

Finally that confused. All the while I tell the printer two pages per side, then it should be a page by side. The reason why I have it created in Powerpoint with two pages per A4 sheet, which when printed and folded becomes an A5 booklet.

  • Orientation page and balance are grayed out when I "print booklet" as a PS file

I'm using CS5 (it's old, but it doesn't have me given all the problems yet) and running OS Mavericks.

I need to print and bind a 10x13cm book that I'm working on.

The book will be bound in the sections of 16 pages, then m goal is to produce a PDF for each section of book 16 pages.

Each PDF page will consist of the two places "spreads" impression (i.e., pages 1-16, then 15-2, then 3-14, etc.)

As the book is smaller than the A6, I can hold each Board on a page of A4 format, printed as 'landscape' orientation

I will then send this PDF to someone who will then print on a laser printer double sides on A4 sheets.

I'll fold, bind and cut out the resulting pages and make a model.

    My problem is the following:

    > I go to "Print booklet" and select "2-top shot on horseback" (gives me the page layout, I need)

    > I click on 'Printer setup' and select "PostScript file" from the drop-down list (I will then distill the PS file)

However, when I go to installation, orientation and position of the page are all grayed out.

Therefore, when I print and distill the file in PS it is sitting at the bottom left of a sheet of 'portrait' (not centered on the sheet)

You know another way to get around this?

If I print directly to my inkjet, then I can control all the centering, etc., but as I need to create a PDF file to send to someone else, it is not much help.

    Any help would be appreciated!

If you bind in 16 sections of page, you must choose 2-upper bound and specify 16 page signatures. Stitching horse assumes that all the pages are folded together in a single section.

For the options on the page, you must install and use the ADPDF9. PPD file. You can download it from my drop box on download - Hightail

  • Problem since upgrade to 6.0.6 Indesign Booklet

    Hello

I have a big problem with the printing of booklet since the upgrade of my Indesign CS4 (at 6.0.6).

    I can't print a landscape A4 A5 booklet.

I tried to change "defined by the printer" who has worked with the last problem

I put in the print page Ind and the iMac to print the page in landscape

I tried to export to Acrobat, but the problem persists regardless of what looks like the preview of Acrobat.

So no matter what I do the spread on an A4 Portrait with a page and half of page two.

If I reduce the Page A5 landscape layout that I get the impression with the correct layout, but of course it is too small it is tucked up in a corner of the page.

I can copy the Indesign text into Nisus Pro (Text Edit) and not using expensive imposter print my booklets

But it's crazy how I defeated the purpose of the (expensive) high-level Adobe products and I lose the Picts

    Any advice would be appreciated

  • How to make El Capitan to recognize my Canon printer I've done what I think is everything: one clean install of El Capitan (another problem); Reinstall the software from the CD; Anon same impression reset. No luck at all.

How do El Capitan to recognize my Canon printer? I did what I think, that's all I can: clean install of El Capitan (another problem); Reinstall the software of Canon from the CD; same impression reset - my printer shows not yet up! I tried LAN and USB.  No luck at all. The printer does not yet appear upward on the tree of USB in the reporting system.

  • My default size for printing the letter, but it retains the impression as if a parameter is set to 8X6.75. How can I fix it?

Firefox has recently updated to 40.0.2. Just back from a week off the coast of the work to discover, it was the incorrect impression. The printer is said to add 8X6.75 paper to print. Firefox settings are defined on 11X8.5 and all other browsers are printing very well.

If Firefox does not use the entire sheet of paper, it can result from after having extracted Windows incorrect paper size settings when reading data from the print driver. Compensation it may involve conclusions some mask parameters, but here goes:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste print and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) for each parameter of the problem printer, right click and reset The fastest way is to click with the mouse and press the r key on the keyboard with your other hand.

Note: In a few other discussions involving printers Brother, printer_printer_name.print_paper_data preference has been set to 256 and when the user changed it to 1 that solved the problem of paper size. If you see a 256 here, you can change the value by double-clicking it or by using the right click > modify.
