Impression of lack of spoolsvc.exe

A PC running XP is somehow missing friends spoolsvc.exe and do not print.  Is it possible to replace this file without performing a repair installation?

The PC had some virus problems.  I think the file might have been removed by a virus or by the cleanup that followed.

If it was a typo and print spooler was intended, another thought is that the print spooler is not enabled. To check this, follow these steps:

Click on the Start Menu, click Run, type "services.msc".

In the Services pane, click on "Alert" and scroll down until you see "print spooler".

Click on "Start service" or "Restart Service", as the case may be.

The print spooler must be enabled.

Check if printing is enabled.

Hope this helps

    Since this question I've tired using the Repair Console to extend winlogon.exe in the system32 dir. could not expand the file.  but, I was able to access and read what files are in the directory c:\windows\system32 on the machine and found that the if the dir winlogon.exe.  but I'm still not able to go beyond the login screen; I start on the windows logon screen, click account admin or user, there is a flash of the wallpaper, then back to the logon screen.  Thanks again, Chris

  • lack file g7i0ol_kaz.exe

    Recently, I ran a cleaning Spybot Search & Destroy, and the next time the system starts, I received a message that the file g7i0ol_kaz.exe is missing. The name in the title area in blue at the top of the message window is RunDLL.

    I created a small file in the location of the missing file, but the message has changed from missing to invalid. He said that it was not valid for a Win32 program.

    If I close the message window and continue, the system feels no particular effect. Everything seems to work normally without the file, but I'd like to get rid of the pop-up window at startup time.

    My search for a downloadable file from Microsoft provided no help. The file is not found. I found some information in a Forum search, but it was German, so I couldn't read. I made a translation of some passages, but it was no problem explanation that the solution was so no help for me.

    Anyone know how I can recharge the missing file so that the program that is looking for what he can run? Or the program that has need of the missing file can be identified and deleted if it is not necessary?

    Thank you

  • Vista fails to boot after SP1 update. Lack file ntoskrnl.exe

    I have Windows Vista Home Premium and has just installed SP1 upgrade.  The PC now not restart, even in safe mode.  As soon as he tries to load Vista, an error message occurs: ntoskrnl.exe missing or damaged.  I tried to boot from the resettlement drive provided by Dell, but the same error occurs.

    I ran dell seed assessment tool and the material is very good.

    What should I do to fix this file?

    Thanks in advance.

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
  • FlexPrintJob results impression of lack of large blocks of text
    Hi all
    I use FlexPrintJob to generate the output of a Flex application.  I am allowing the user to print the "thank you" to our application.  Here's the code that fires when the user clicks on the 'Print' button in my application:
    var printer:FlexPrintJob = new FlexPrintJob();
    printer.printAsBitmap = false;
    // Display the print dialog to the user.  If they choose a printer
    // and click "print", this method will return true, and we will
    // spool the job to the printer they selected. If they hit cancel,
    // this method will return false, and we will not attempt to send
    // anything to the printer.
    if(printer.start()){
         printer.addObject(itemsToPrintContainer);
         printer.send();
    }
    itemsToPrintContainer is the text quite heavy and contains all the information the user has entered so far, as well as some 'fine print' with permission from our legal department :-)  Depending on the options that the user selected and how much they typed, this will take place between 1.25 and a two pages of printing output (printing of 8.5 "x 11" paper with a 1 "top, bottom, and side margin").
    Something very strange is happening, however.  Only the first two-thirds of the text are printed.  All the text after that Miss, even if it is present in the view.  In addition, the horizontal rules between different blocks of text are present and are spaced appropriately.  For example, if there is a long block of text is missing, the space between the horizontal rules is exactly appropriate to adapt to this long block of text, even if it is not displayed.  Similarly, when there is some missing text blocks, the space between the horizontal rules should be to adapt to this block of text.
    Horizontal rules are a simple component, I created to draw a horizontal line.  Looks like this:
         <s:stroke>
              <s:SolidColorStroke color="{color}" weight="{weight}" alpha="{ruleAlpha}"/>
         </s:stroke>
    After a few experiences, I discovered what is printed has something to do with what is visible in the display window.  The object, I am trying to print is in a scrolling window, and print which is close to the same height which is visible in the display window.  If I resize the window to make the box smaller visible, the amount of text that prints becomes smaller.  However, what is not print exactly what is in the window - I'm sure it's related somehow, because the amount of visible text (measured vertically) is systematically related to the size of the viewport.  But it isn't exactly the same thing.  Sometimes there is something visible in the viewport on the screen that does not appear in the printed output, and vice versa.  But what print changes when you scroll the window down.
    Any suggestions?  How can I get to print the object itemsToPrintContainer together with all text, regardless of what is currently visible on the screen?
    Why would it need to be in a scroller at the time you send the print job?
    Flash is a deferred rendering engine.  You can manipulate the display list, present
    the page and restore the display list, and the user will not see it.
    Or clone the page somewhere, print and delete the clone.
  • Satellite 300-214: SD-R2002 drive recognition failure
    Using a 300-214 Satellite, which has developed a problem where it won't recognize anything in the modular Bay.
    It wasn't a problem, when I could select RUN and view the content.
    Now the SD R2002 double DVD/CD even cannot be run from this.
    It starts to spin when a disc is inserted, but the computer then comes with a driver failure.
    I reinstalled the driver but he then said that it lacked the mscdex.exe in BACK.
    I download and responsible but not good.
    Have you tried an external CD drive on the machine, but the computer will load the software but does not recognize the hardware.
    I want to use for recovery back to the original state, but of course, this requires a cd player.
    Any ideas on how to get any computer to recognize the drive in the modular Bay, or a way to use the recovery?
    Hello
    The Satellite 300-214 is an oldie.
    On the Toshiba driver page I don't think a lot of drivers for this laptop.
    However, I assume that you are using Windows 98 and you want to use the drive in DOS mode. Am I wrong?
    Well, you suggested that you reinstalled the driver but it lacked the mscdex.exe.
    First of all, you need the right mscdex.exe and two files autoexec.bat and config.sys should have good entries.
    For example config.sys:
    LASTDRIVE = Z
    DEVICE = [PATH] [drivers] .sys/d: [device name]
    [Drivers] placeholder for the device driver name (i.e. CD524.sys)
    [device name] the internal name of the CD-player (i.e. mscd001)
    For example the autoexec.bat file:
    c:\dos\mscdex.exe/d: [device name] / l: [drive letter]
    [device name] - the same entry as in the config.sys file
    I would recommend checking the google for more detailed information.
    You will find lots of useful Web sites.
  • Lost my Volume control program
    It worked fine for years then it quit.
    Lost my Volume control program - error below:
    Windows cannot execute SndVol32.exe, use Add/Remove Programs Control Panel to install
    Seems to lack of sndvol32.exe and I don't know how to reinstall it or where. Some sounds still work, I checked all the settings, search the drivers updated, all ran diag tests.
    In Control Panel under the icon 'sounds' Audio I select Add the "speaker" of the task bar icon and the error. When I click on any button volume (s) there, I have the same error. I use the default sounds. I noticed the chest upward and stop sounds are gone as well. Main issues seem to be under the tabs ' volume and audio. Ideas how to fix?
    Put your XP CD in your drive, do not let it start. If so, cancel it. Then:
    Start > run > type msconfig and press enter or click OK > click on extract file > in the upper area type in second sndvol32.exe point box to your CD/DVD drive where the disc XP is > third box type in c:\windows\system32 (assuming that is where your operating system is installed) > extract, overwrite if necessary > re-boot for good measure.
    You should now have your controls of Volume/mixer back.
    If you only restore discs while you will need to perform an Internet search for sndvol32.exe and go on the forums various one - sometimes people post copies of this file that you can download at the above address.
    See you soon,.
  • vCenter Server Component install hangs on the installation directory services
    Hello
    I'm on a 64-bit OS of Windows 2008. I update vCenter 5.5 Update 2 and 5.5 updated 3d.  I can install the SSO, WebClient and Inventory Service very well without any problems.  I get to the vCenter server component and it hangs on "Install Directory Services".  I checked the vminst.log and I get:
    "Try to start ["C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe"/c start /w C:\Windows\system32\ocsetup.exe DirectoryServices-ADAM/passive /norestart].
    I Googled that and of course a dozen connections to users having problems with installing the server vCenter on Windows 2012R2 lack the ocsetup.exe. As I said, I'm still on Win2008.  I have not ran sfc/scannow - no chance.  I tried to copy the ocsetup.exe from a Win2008 well-known to vCenter box - same thing.  Tried different accounts thinking I have a bad profile - no luck.  Anyone have a similar problem?
    well, too bad.  I guess I wasn't be patient.  This time I let it "hang" and it finally finished after almost an hour.  At least see the progress bar move would have been useful.
  • "Lack of function external lvanlys.dll ' when executing EXE
    Windows 7 x 32, LV2009SP1 / LVRuntime 2009
    I am trying to build an EXE from a customer code.  They use the analysis library (NI_AALBase.lvlib).
    It works well on my dev machine.  When I create the EXE file and place him on a target with LVRuntime on that machine, I get the error:
    Lack of function external lvanlys.dll: Mean_head:C NI_AALBase.lvlib:Mean.vi.
    I explicitly added the lvanlys library to the project.  I added the library as a source file in the build.  Finally, I added the DLL itself to the project and as a source for the build.
    Still the same error.  The DLL is located in the folder data after construction.  I tried to move it in the same folder as the EXE file and in the system32 folder.  Nope.
    I just changed the extension of the DLL to dllx and tried again, and I get the same error, so it looks that it can't find it.
    Do I need to register this DLL or something?  Is there a file?
    You are an installer of construction or simply transfer the executable file?
    If you are just transferring the executable file, make sure to include the folder "data" beside him.
    (You can also check if the target computer has the engine execution of std (~ 170 MB) and not only the minimum (38MO).)
