In Lightroom 5, choose "Merge to Panorama in Photoshop" open PS in the wrong place
Hello, I use Lightroom version 5.7.1 on an iMac with OS X (version 10.10 [5]) and, until recently, if I chose the Photo - Edit open inside my request of Photoshop on my boot drive. Now, although it uses by default trying to open the backup copy of Photoshop on my external backup drive, which is a clone of the hard drive of my iMac, and if I choose "merge to Panorama in Photoshop" (which I need to do often enough) it freezes and gives the following error:
I can see that it tries to open the cloned version of Photoshop (on iMac Anna/backup/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS6) but I can't find any way to change this so that it can reuse the version on my boot drive. I'm sure there must be a file somewhere that staged Lightroom to try to open Photoshop on the external hard drive, but I don't know where it could be.
If I have already opened the version of Photoshop on my startup disk before trying to merge with Panorama, it will use that one. If I remove the external hard drive containing the cloned version of Photoshop, I just get an error that says that the files could not be changed because Photoshop CS6 could not be launched.
I tried to delete the file [file username]/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.Photoshop.plist, then by restarting Lightroom, but it did not help.] I also tried to change the external editor in Lightroom preferences - preferences: I can create an additional external editor and have pointing to Photoshop on my boot drive, but this has no effect when you try to merge with Panorama and I see no way to change the settings to 'Edit in Adobe Photoshop CS6' at the top of the box as shown below :
If anyone has a solution to this, I would be really grateful. Thanks in advance.

After posting this question I've been tracking the answer me - it seems that there is a bug in Lightroom that Adobe know since at least January 2015. As far as I know, it has not been resolved in the latest version of Lightroom, but they wrote a plugin that works around the problem. I have downloaded and run and it works, so I thought I would like to include the link to the page in case someone else has the same problem:
Lightroom: "Edit in PS 2014" opens PS 2014 in the wrong place. Community customer Photoshop family
Ignore the first suggestion about uninstalling Lightroom and Photoshop and scroll down the page until you find the official response from Jeffrey Tranberry - there is a link to download a plugin it and once you installed you will be able to specify the location of Photoshop. With a bit of luck will be solved properly in a future version of Lightroom.
Best wishes

Hi I have Lightroom 5.7.1 and try to make the panorama. Photo/Edit in watch upward but somehow "Merge to Panorama in Photoshop" is grayed out. How can I make it work? How can I make panorama to 5.7.1? Can anyone help?
Seriously Teddy5555, this isn't a problem with Lightroom. If PhotoShop is not installed on your computer, then you cannot directly photos to edit in PhotoShop, nor can you merge to Panorama in PhotoShop. If it is not installed, you must install it to make it work.
6 LR and LR CC 2015 have the ability to merge with a Panorama in LR itself as shown below, but I don't remember if it was available in LR 5.

Merge to a panorama in photoshop will not save back to lightroom
In lightroom, I select the merge to panorama in photoshop option and the panorama is created, but when I try to save the file, it tries to save money, where more how-to videos it is automatically saved to lightroom, I cc of lightroom and photoshop cc, I'm sure it's just a preference to tweak settings, but I can't seem to save automatically in lightroom
Hi Ajd,
Could you please let me know how many images you selected for "Merge to Panorama", once this is done, you should be able to click on file > save.
Once this is done, you should be able to see the file edited next to the original.
Also check the preferences > external editing > battery with the Original.
Let me know if it helps.
Kind regards

I have LR5 and CS3 on Win7. Merge to Panorama worked perfectly until I had a crash.
I rebooted both now "merge to Panorama in Photoshop' so that 'Open as Smart Object in Photoshop', 'merge to HDR in Photoshop' and 'Open as layers in Photoshop' are all greyed out. "Editing in another Application" and "Edit in Photoshop CS3" are good and work very well. Still, Photoshop doesn't views ok on his own, just no longer in conjunction with LR. I rebooted LR5 and CS3 again, haven't installed update - no change. Any help would be appreciated.
J.R.S.
Yes, I uninstalled and reinstalled both requests, and I work with original images. I probably have about two dozen panoramas before the crash.
Thank you, JRS

I have lightroom 5 and I'm trying to merge some pictures to make a panorama, I saw on the tutorial there is a function under the photos to merge into panorama. I do not see this option in my lightroom 5, it is something new in Lightroom 6? I don't have photoshop.
Hi santanu_rudra,
The Photomerge option is available in 6 of Lightroom, and not in Lightroom 5.
Kind regards

Merge to a Panorama no longer works in CS4.
I have reinstalled CS4 without result and uses the last LR 3.6. Operating system is Windows 7.
All work upward until I get to the window of fusion in CS4 where I can choose all the options and then click the 'OK' button and nothing happens.
Anyone has any ideas please?
Problem solved.
CS4 does not recognize a D7000 Nikon RAW images.
Expensive solution would be to upgrade to CS5
Cheap solution is to convert the RAW files to DNG in Lightroom and can then merge to panorama. Thanks for your help Support Adobe.

Lightroom CC Pano Merge - internal error, impossible to merge
I use the latest version of LR CC (as of April 17, 2016) on Win 7 machine that has only 8 GB of RAM. I am trying to create a fusion of pano 18-image using the RAW images captured with a Nikon D800e (about 40 MB/image).
The preview worked fine and the merger sounds great.
The actual merger lasted more than 4 hours, and then displays a message that an internal error has occurred error and unable to merge. No other information.
I don't have a PS I have an old version of Giga Auto Pano that I have not updated. I prefer to use the option of merging LR for its simplicity. I am re - run the merger with 9 images and after an hour of running, the progress bar indicator is stuck in the same place as with the merger of 18-image after 4 hrs.
Can you give me some guidance on what I should do next?
Thanks in advance.
My guess is that it is short-term memory as you merge if many and if high resolution images. Now a D800e in-memory image takes about 220 MB of memory if 16-bit. You will miss only 8 gigs pretty fast. It will not hold the entire pano put in memory, of course, but he'll need a substantial part. Have you tried to merge a subset of the pano to see if this is the problem? Sort of, that this machine can be updated.
PS how can you have LR CC but not Photoshop?

create a panorama in Photoshop CC 2015, using 5 RAW files.
I'm trying to create a panorama in Photoshop CC 2015, using 5 RAW files. The files are selected in Photomerge with Blend Images together and the automatic option is selected
Then the program blends and aligns the selected layers, but is not a homogeneous composition. If I try with only 2 RAW files, it works very well! Nothing more than, and I get borders defined on images!
Help, please.
PS I tried to load the images as PSD etc files with the same result.
Is your windows 7, a 32 or 64 bit system?
I believe that the merger of Pano and merging hdr in acr is available only when you use the 64-bit version of photoshop cc to cc 2015.
That's why your window of camera raw looks different than JJMacks screenshots.

A stand-alone problem with Lightroom 6 passing files to edit in Photoshop CS6 independent
With Lightroom 6 opened in 'Library' mode and display the images in the display of the grid, I select an image and right-click on it and choose the offered menu "Edit in > edit in Photoshop CS6»
I get no options as the original or original with Lightroom alterations etc., he just goes ahead and open Photoshop, but fails to transmit the image and I find myself with an open Photoshop but not picture.
Suggestions as to how could be remedied this problem.
Thanks, Stephen
Solve the problem by the following steps:
1 launched Photoshop third-party plugins to jump (with SHIFT key during launch)
2A tried to open an image from Lightroom to Photoshop > open very well
3. copy all the plugins from the location next to the desktop and removed from its current location.
4 put them one by one back to the original location of the office and tried to open the Lightproom image to Photoshop at the same time to find the plugin that was defective.
5 development and coral as the defective one, installed them only in Lightroom and removed from Photohsop

I tried a trial version of lightroom 6 and edited hundreds of photots I need to find the export files are small non-printable, about 600 kbs. So I bought lightroom 6 hoping to save my changes on all the photos. However with my purchase of more than a week, my picture exports are still about 600 kbs. Not printable! I'm signed and registered. Whats happening?
Looks like you have been in the library module and chose with a preset export or export to email. Whatever it is, your Presets 'export' were to reduce the size of the image exported to about 600 k.
In Lightroom, the library module and under the file menu, simply select the Word Export. Who will open another dialog box. GO through each option in this dialog box to choose where you want to export the file, what color space to use, what name to give to each folder, what metadata to include and do not forget to select the export size! I included a few screenshots for your reference.
If you export exactly the same path several times, you can create your own export preset to make this process faster.

I am user of Lightroom 5. Consider purchase version 6. Not happy with the subscription option, bcs, it looks like a year of use I will not be able to continue to use this version and you want me to pay more to continue to use LightRoom 6. Is this good? If so - I'll stay with Lightroom 5.
You have two options to switch to Lightroom 6:
- Subscribe (including Photoshop CC 2014), or
- Buy the traditional way CS6 upgrade:
Click buy
I want to buy: menu, choose Update (instead of the default is Full)
I own: Photoshop Lightroom 5.x
Make your purchase.

LR 5.2 develop preset Lens profile chooses the wrong goal
The library module metadata shows the lens actually used. Develop module preset chooses the right manufacturer (Canon) but the wrong lens. How the pre-selection to choose glasses actually used for each image when imported?
Example: Canon EF-s 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II lens used to take the picture. Canon EF 75-300mm f4-5. 6 USM appllied during import. The imported pictures include those with the 18-55mm, 75-300mm, and the 10-22mm lens.
Technology Adobe you have preferences file reset LR? A corrupted preference files LR is often the source of problems "unexplained."
You can rename the current file with the extension .old (Lightroom 5 Preferences.agprefs.old), rather than delete it. In this way, you can delete the new preferences file and rename the old file if the issue is not resolved.

Why Lightroom color match not during editing in Photoshop CS3
I just started using Lightroom 4, the only version of lightroom that I used. Short version, save me lots of time. But I went to change more in photoshop and noticed that the color is radically different. I have Photoshop CS3 (10.0.1) and ProPhoto color space is to match to lightroom. I have make changes in lightroom, say remove dust spots, it appears in the version of photoshop. It seems that, in the shadow of the coast is where it really shows. My workflow would be to import to the original raw in lightroom 4 (1 5 d mark II canon) and go on changing. Right-click to edit in Photoshop CS3, and it is where the colors go crazy. So if I save the file with any editing done in Photoshop and compare side by side in lightroom, they are completely different. What is the origin of the radical difference?
Here are the screenshots where the screenshot left the original image is the image dark and light, this is what it looks like when opened in Photoshop. Compare it to lightroom on the screenshot on the right, this is what it looks like when I saved the file in Photoshop. Then, how open it in Photoshop, then hit save the change of image? If I do edit in lightroom and then export the jpeg and open in photoshop, I get the correct color, exactly the same as my original lightroom raw.
My external editor in lightroom settings are tiff, space colorimetric prophoto.
Photoshop preferences are to preserve embedded profiles.
If she does not make in Lightroom, it is absolutely false. CS3 uses ACR 4.x, which is not compatible with the LR4 2012 process.
You must choose "Display in Lightroom" when it prompts or before opening in CS3. If it does not prompt you, try resetting your speedy deletions in Prefs-> General-> guests-> Reset.

Try to set up my mini iPad and it won't let me choose a network that no backup is compatible with the version of iOS on iPad (9.1)

First talk you about selection of a network, and then say that there are no compatible backups. Do you have an older device? Having problems connecting to Wi - Fi, or restore a backup problems? If you had a device more former, is - it possible that this device had 9.2 on iOS? If Yes, then you will need configure the Mini iPad like new, update the iOS 9.1 to 9.2, and then you must use the settings > General > reset > erase all content and settings, to bring him back to the installation wizard. From there, you will be able to restore your previous backup.
