In PeopleCode SQL and view comments

Question #1

When we get PeopleCode Oracle patches, they will often add comments on top of comments like this

Original code:

/ * Original commented code * /.

New code delivered:

< * new comments.

/ * Original commented code * /.

* >

The media how the existing comments?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Question #2

How to add comments to the SQL view?

Yes. Comments in brackets (<* ..="" *="">) on everything including the single line comments (/ *... * /). In general, / *... * / is used for the single line comment (you can also use REM for the same purpose) and <* ...="" *="">is used for multi line comments.

Regarding the comment of SQL, I use generally / *... * / which should support most of the DB platforms. I believe you can also use - but who would comment everything from that time.

I hope this helps!

    I can't open a file FDF of my employer, neither chrome nor Safari with the controller of domain Adobe Acrobat Reader installed.  The file opens with all of the script around it and I can't read it. There are no extensions in Chrome which will convert the file from a TOT in a PDF file either.  I tried also to open the drive, and then browse to find the FDF file and open it that way, but still seem to get the same result.  Help!

  • EUL5. SQL and other administrative issues

    I am responsible for creating reports for an application based on Oracle.

    As part of the purchase, the supplier of the application supplied discoverer.  The seller installed discoverer.  The provider support is not very well on their own request, so I don't even try to get help from their share of issues of discoverer.

    Some of the users of the application build reports using discoverer; I, personally, hate it.

    I am, by nature of my post, considered the Discoverer administrator, however.  I don't know anything about the software, but have recently found how I can get the end-user reports shared for me (for purposes of, then, sharing to others) through SQL (I know, I know - is not supposed to do it this way - but to get my end users to track the requests on the part is like pulling teeth).

    In read so, however, it became clear that I had no EUL functions installed for END user license holder.

    I tried to run eul5.sql, and I get "insufficient permissions", if!

    What owner eul permission would be missing, and how I give you that?  (I have access level of the Oracle database sys taking the NLY).

    Thank you!

    Start with the following privs to the eul_owner:

    CREATE SESSION

    CREATE TABLE

    CREATE VIEW

    CREATE SEQUENCES

    CREATE PROCEDURE

    CREATE SESSION

    CREATING USER

    GRANT A PRIVILEGE

    ALTER USER

  • problem with bind variables in the SQL query view object

    Hi all

    I use JDev 11.1.2.4.0.

    I have a problem with bind variables in the SQL query view object.

    This is my original SQL

    SELECT sum(t.TIME) , t.legertype_id
    FROM LEDGER t
    WHERE t.nctuser_id = '20022'
          AND to_char(t.insertdate,'YYYYMMDD') in ('20130930','20130929')
    group by t.legertype_id

    In my view .xml object query tab, I am writing this

    SELECT sum(t.TIME) , t.legertype_id
    FROM LEDGER t
    WHERE   t.nctuser_id = '20022'
        AND to_char(t.insertdate,'YYYYMMDD') in :dddd
    group by t.legertype_id

    Davis here is a variable of Type liaison: String, updatable and necessary.

    I try to deal with Davis as ('20130930 ', ' 20130929') hoping the view object, run as my original SQL.

    But failed. The view object retrieves 0 line after that I run.

    Why?

    Thank you! ('2original SQL0130930', '20130929') ('20130930 ', ' 20130929')

    A variable binding cannot be used as this is why you must use years table. Check decompilation binary ADF: using oracle.jbo.domain.Array with ViewCriteria to see a solution.

    Can you help me out on this issue?

    Suresh Mohan says:

    Outside chr (256), are there other characters of white space available?

    White space characters are listed on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whitespace_character.

    From the point of view of the old MS-MS-BACK/ASCII characters, a white space character was #256 as the chariot of normal space was #32. He was also a space compared to a difficult space.

    You need to look at the character set you use - ASCII is a set of characters in a single byte, and not the same thing.

    You can use the SQL DUMP() function to watch the characters in a string. For example

    select dump( my_string_column ) from my_table where ...

  • Autocommit DDL: difference between SQL and SQL Developer * more?

    I asked this in the SQL forum (commit auto DDL: difference between developer SQL and command-line client?), but it has suggested it might be a problem in SQL Developer, so I thought I would ask here.

    I'm trying to understand what exactly happens when an error occurs when a transaction is committed because of a DDL statement. I noticed that with SQL Developer, if the DDL statement CREATE TABLE, the statement is executed, even if the DML statements which I entered before CREATE TABLE violates a deferred constraint, so that the transaction fails. In SQL * Plus, it's not the case: the table is not created. I have no automatic validation. I'm using Oracle 10 g XE.

    That's what happens in SQL * more:
    SQL> create table table1(a number);

    Table created.

    SQL> alter table table1 add constraint table1_a_uq unique(a) deferrable initially deferred;

    Table altered.

    SQL> insert into table1 values(1);

    1 row created.

    SQL> commit;

    Commit complete.

    SQL> insert into table1 values(1);

    1 row created.

    SQL> create table table2(b number);
    create table table2(b number)
    *
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-02091: transaction rolled back
    ORA-00001: unique constraint (BOEK.TABLE1_A_UQ) violated

    SQL> select * from table2;
    select * from table2
                  *
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
    If I put the same code in SQL Developer (versions 1.5.5 and 2.1.0.63), the table is created.
    This is my script:
    create table table1(a number);
    alter table table1 add constraint table1_a_uq unique(a) deferrable initially deferred;
    insert into table1 values(1);
    commit;
    insert into table1 values(1);
    create table table2(b number);
    select * from table2;
    And this is the output of SQL Developer:
    create table succeeded.
     alter table table1 succeeded.
    1 rows inserted
    commited
    1 rows inserted

    Error starting at line 9 in command:
    create table table2(b number)
    Error report:
    SQL Error: ORA-02091: transaction rolled back
    ORA-00001: unique constraint (BOEK.TABLE1_A_UQ) violated
    02091. 00000 -  "transaction rolled back"
    *Cause:    Also see error 2092. If the transaction is aborted at a remote
               site then you will only see 2091; if aborted at host then you will
               see 2092 and 2091.
    *Action:   Add rollback segment and retry the transaction.
    B
    ----------------------

    0 rows selected
    As you can see, the table is created in SQL Developer, but not in SQL * more.

    I wonder why it's different.

    Well Yes, it is a slightly different situation, because you issue 1 statement that executes internally 2 statements.
    But the problem is the same: the error handling. Where sqlplus rejects again (implicit) statements, sqldev goes ahead and runs them anyway. Personally, I'd say sqldev is more consistent and sqlplus is not, because run the following instructions (explicit).

    Kind regards
    K.

  • Need help with query SQL Inline views + Group

    Hello gurus,

    I would really appreciate your time and effort on this application. I have the following data set.

    Reference_No---Check_Number---Check_Date---description---Invoice_Number---Invoice_Type---Paid_Amount---Vendor_Number
    1234567 11223 - 05/07/2008 -paid for cleaning- 44345563-I-* 20.00 *---19
    1234567 11223 - 05/07/2008 - 44345563 -a--10,00---19 ofbad quality adjustment
    7654321 11223 - 05/07/2008 - setting the last billing cycle - 23543556 - A - 50.00 - 19
    4653456 11223 - 05/07/2008 - paid for cleaning - 35654765 - I - 30, 00-19

    Please ignore '-' added for clarity

    I'm writing a paid_amount based on Reference_No, Check_Number, Payment_Date, Invoice_Number, aggregate query Invoice_Type, Vendor_Number and display description with Invoice_type 'I' when there are multiple records with the same Reference_No, Check_Number, Payment_Date, Invoice_Type, Invoice_Number, Vendor_Number. When there are no more records I want to display the respective Description.

    The query should return the following data set

    Reference_No---Check_Number---Check_Date---description---Invoice_Number---Invoice_Type---Paid_Amount---Vendor_Number
    1234567 11223 - 05/07/2008 -paid for cleaning- 44345563-I-* 10.00 *---19
    7654321 11223 - 05/07/2008 - setting the last billing cycle - 23543556 - A - 50.00 - 19
    4653456 11223 - 05/07/2008 - paid for cleaning - 35654765 - I - 30, 00-19
    Here's my query. I'm a little lost.

    Select b., A.sequence_id, A.check_date, A.check_number, A.invoice_number, A.amount, A.vendor_number
    de)
    Select sequence_id, check_number, check_date, invoice_number, sum (paid_amount) sum, vendor_number
    of the INVOICE
    Sequence_id group check_date, check_number, invoice_number, vendor_number
    ) A, B OF INVOICE
    where A.sequence_id = B.sequence_id

    Thank you
    Nick

  • Why Firefox 25.0 does not show Google ads and Facebook comments and love. Make all other browsers.

    I just upgraded to 25.0 FireFox and I have problems of visualization of Google ads and Facebook comments and love on my site (wellfitstyle.com). All other browsers show Google adds comments in the right sidebar and Facebook and like below each post. Many people in Eastern Europe (where I am) using FireFox and I would like to know how this problem can be solved.

    TNX.

    Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

    (If you use it, switch to the default theme).

    • Under Windows, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key option key when starting Firefox.
    • Under Linux, you can open Firefox 4.0 + with leaving Firefox then go to your Terminal and running Safe Mode: firefox-safe-mode (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)
    • Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.

    Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

    If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .

    To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

    The report please come back shortly.

  • Download and view files PDF IOS 9.2

    Since downloading the iOS 9.2 update, I've noticed that I'm unable to download and view pdf files. I tried my account on my phone of colleagues (running iOS 9.1) that does it without problem. The server is the Exchange 2003 server. Has anyone else seen elsewhere? Anyone know a fix?

    We are having the same problem with some PDFs on Exchange 2003. The workaround of Acrobat to download the full message and press open in the player does not work. One or more of the following actions occurs:

    • The PDF file is as is the download (circle progresses / completes)
    • Tapping/long-press the PDF icon does nothing
    • The error "cannot download the attachment"

    Temporary workaround on 6s 9.2: open in Outlook Web Access in Safari, tap and hold the link to the PDF, open in new tab temporary until access OWA is removed.

    Cannot open some PDF files:

    (JW) iPhone 6 s, iOS 9.2, Exchange 2003, no. AirWatch Agent (AWA)

    (RJ) 5 s, iOS 9.2, AWA 5.0.3

    (MC) 5 s, iOS 9.2, AWA 5.0.3

    Can open the PDF file, the others cannot:

  • Problem with WSUS after upgrade of SQL and SCCM

    A few years ago, we implemented SCCM 2012 R2 on a virtual machine running Server 2008 R2 (Enterprise), using 2012 SQL for databases.  We use it for software deployment, updates/patches via WSUS and imagery of the network.  Everything is smooth enough for most, even if we hit a few snags Windows 10 points when that came out.  After you install the patches and updates to our Server 2008 box to make it compatible with Windows 10 content, everything was good again.  A few weeks ago, I decided to update our version of SCCM 1511 and SQL for 2014.  After the two updates, I tested imaging and software deployment, and everything seemed good.  I forgot WSUS, however... and later visited account it was not working properly for these updates.  Unfortunately, I realized after I deleted the VM snapshot, I got to thinking that everything was good (stupid, I know).  After researching and discovering some of the errors were permissions associated with - why would have changed the permissions on folders of SQL and SCCM upgrade I have no idea - those who have since been smoothed.  Now, my mistakes seem to be related SQL more and I hit a dead end with research.  When I opened WSUS and go look at the clocks, he tries to load the history of synchronization, and after a few minutes-error with the following information:

    The WSUS administration console failed to connect to the WSUS server database.

    Verify that SQL server is running on the WSUS server. If the problem persists, try restarting SQL.

    I found a few forums that suggest to uninstall WSUS and delete the database, and then reinstall WSUS.  Unfortunately, when I try install fails... giving only an error code and no other explanation of why.  The error is 0 x 80070643, which is supposed to be due to the current user not having the "sysadmin" in SQL.  However, I have tried with several accounts I checked to make you have the sysadmin role in SQL (and are also part of the Administrators group on the server itself)-always get the same error message.

    I would really like to try to find that rather than wasting his time with the construction of a new server and redo our whole SCCM environment... get the client reinstalled on all our machines to synchronize with a new server appears as a huge headache.  Is there anyone else out there who know what would cause this?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!
