  The store can make the transfer, but they will use iCloud for making a backup of your old phone and then restore to the new. This could take a while depending on the amount of data transferred.

  You have backups of your old appliance before head you to the store. Use iCloud or iTunes on your PC.  You can then restore yourself.

  The Diagnostic report suggests that Vista's Licensing Store can be altered (or data that are stripped somehow). Please try the steps below to re-create the store and there are data.
   
  (1) open an Internet browser window.
  (2) type: %windir%\system32 in the browser's address bar.
   
  Note: If you have access to the Start button, you can skip steps 1 and 2 and simply click on the Start button and type: cmd.exe in the search field.

  Solution is that you must change the drive to another data store and increase space.

  Select the virtual machine and migration - migration datastore - Advanced - click the drive on which you want to increase space - browse - choose data store where space is available - finishing

  You can add and remove data warehouses in a cluster of data with VMS running store.

  I solved it myself, DatastoreInfo is extended by the VmfsDatastoreInfo, which allows you to access HostVmfsVolume which has extensions as a field!

  You should be able to do this with a very small amount of code.  Download all data warehouses that correspond to the model name, sort free space (in descending order) and select the top one.  As:

  ## if the freespace plus a bit of buffer space is greater than the size needed for the new VMif (($oDatastoreWithMostFree.FreespaceGB + 20) -gt $intNewVMDiskSize) {<# do the provisioning to this datastore #>}else {"oh, no -- not enough freespace on datastore '$($oDatastoreWithMostFree.Name)' to provision new VM"}
  

  The second part, where it checks for sufficient freespace on the data store that has the most free, can be updated to behave as you need, but that should be the basis.  How does this look?

  You can use the data store provider.

  It is documented in the vSphere PowerCLI Administration Guide that was installed with PowerCLI.

  Is it possible to change the display name of a data store NFS I have 8 nodes in a cluster connected to?  This is for aesthetic reasons only - consistency of the naming convention.  Just curious, if I renamed the store of data for data store in vSphere VCenter, did change the display name for each host?  Or I have to change the display name to each host using the "hosts and Clusters".  Just curious to know if I can do that, while virtual machines are run with no negative effect... or should I stop literally all of the virtual machines to do this.

  You can change the name of data warehouses (NFS, iSCSI, FC etc.) at any time and without any negative effects.

  I'm trying to convert a Windows XP SP3 machine that has one partition D:. When I try to convert, it fails to stage "Transformation of the reconfiguration data store" with an error indicating "FAILURE: unable to find the system volume, reconfiguration is not possible." I checked the boot.ini file and it seems to be ok, however when I run a Spotmau CD to try to make some recovery/survey to see what the problem is, it shows Windows is on C:, and in the conversion process step that says "Drive to update for the layout of the destination volume letters" goes and comes without error , so I guess that converter is changing the drive letter, that is all pipe up. Can I prevent converter to change the drive letter, or can I change afterwards?

  Hey all,.

  I have a game fairly simple up - two servers ESXi 2 Terminal servers. I'll have a problem, but with space in the store of data not be released on one of them after that I got a clone to the virtual machine, made my changes and removed the original. I can find no record anywhere, using vSphere (not in the inventory or when I browse the data store), but the HARD drive space using the server is still assigned somewhere.

  Any body have tips on where to find or how to fix this if it is indeed a problem?

  I am running VMware Server 2.0.2.  My host computer is a laptop running Windows XP SP3.  My comment system is Windows 2008 SR2.  The guest system physically resides on a hard drive USB, (I:\virtual machines\).

  I put in 'I:\virtual machines\' place as a store of data and then added the virtual machine to VMware Infrastructure Web Access inventory.  The machine starts, runs, etc.  If I stop and restart the host, connect the USB hard disk, and then open VMware Infrastructure Web Access, the virtual computer if displays grayed, and instead of the name it says: "unknown (Inaccessible).  To use my VM, I must remove from the inventory, then remove the data store and then add everything back.

  No idea why this is happening and how I can configure things so I don't have to go through this ritual every time?

  It's my first experience with VMware, so my apologies if there is more information to provide.

  Your problem is because VMware services start automatically at startup and the USB key is not present, the virtual machines defined in this data store is marked as missing. This isn't really a bug as such,

  You could try to define VMware services to manual start and start them, via a script if you prefer using 'net start' or 'sc start', necessary or stop and restart once the USB is connected. You might also have a script that uses vmrun to unsubscribe and re - register particularly affected VMs.

  Another approach would be to have all files for the virtual machine on the hard drive of your laptop, in the store default data or any other data store on C:, with the exception of the hard (s), since this will be the greatest, and as long as the virtual machine is not set to autostart on startup, this could work since I hope he'll only try and find the file in the data store (potentially missing) on the USB when you start the virtual machine, not when the host boots.
