Incompatibility of wacom El Capitan

Hello

I work on a macbook pro (15-inch, mid 2010) located on El capitan, with the last update (30 days ago).

I own a Tablet Intuos 5 Pro medium. He has recently stopped working. In India, I watched all of the threads for community, which asked me to uninstall / reinstall the driver, check the power supply etc.. I followed it, nothing helps. I then contacted Wacom in India, which directed me to the Asia Southeact of Wacom. They contacted me, told me the same steps and then put me in touch with the Wacom service center, which is located in another city.

The Service contacted me and gave me a very heavy estimate for 'replace' what they have diagnosed as a defective part. The estimate is almost as much as a new one.

So I bought a a new average tablet from Wacom yesterday.

It also refuses to work on my mac.

Doing some research, I found out about problems of incompatibility with El Capitan (!?)

Since then, I have tried all of these suggestions online on various community groups:

(1) uninstall / reinstall the latest version of the driver. A tried. failed.

(2) uninstall the driver from wacom and apps, 'repair permissions' (via the terminal) and reinstall. failed.

(3) create a separate user on the system, install the driver it and then re - connect to the original user and this is!... failed.

(4) install an older version (5.3.6 - 6 is the last, and I tried 5.3.0 - 3 and 5.3.5-4).) failed.

(5) even tried the latest driver for Intuos, Wacom Europe series according to working with El capitan (WacomTablet_6.3.15 - 3). failed.

(6) the son of Apple community suggest I remove items for the opening of my preferences system, driver uninstall, reboot, reinstall... This does not work too.

Through all these stages, it comes to mind that my original Intuos tablet is perhaps also a victim of this incompatibility! ??

Am shocked by the inability to answer of Wacom and incompetence to provide the latest drivers (latest driver is released in January 2015). Am also disappointed by El capitan for not being the powerful operating system that it was supposed to be, if it can solve this little problem.

Can someone help me out here? Or do you think I should downgrade and return to yosemite?

  • iPhoto incompatibility with V10.11.5 El Capitan

iPhoto on my dock is not able to be open. During the attempt, the following message appears "to open"iPhoto", you must upgrade to the latest version. The version of iPhoto installed on the Mac is not compatible with OS X El Capitan. Download the latest free version from the Mac App Store. "When you go to the App Store, the following message appears:"product is not available.  The object you have requested is not currently available in the US store."

What is everything?  I have no use the iPhoto application installed on my computer?  iPhoto has been replaced by something else - maybe "Photos"?  I don't have any idea what it is.  Any thoughts?

The upgrade to El Capitan deleted the iPhoto from the Dock icon and replaced it with Photos icon Mac.

But iPhoto should still be there in your Applications folder.

Is that the icon is blocked? Like this?

The only iPhoto version that runs on El Capitan is iPhoto 9.6.1.

Because Apple is no longer supports iPhoto and is no longer selling it, you can only set iPhoto to 9.6.1 if you have a version of iPhoto that is associated with your AppleID on the AppStore.  If iPhoto is displayed in the history of your purchases to the AppStore, the fourth tab, try to update by reinstalling as described by Barney.

    Check out this link.

Can't update iPhoto because it is not available in the App Store.

Essentially you need to iPhoto trash, so Spotlight do not see it installed, and then open the tab "Bought" AppStore fourth and install again. But you can not update at all, if you do not have a version ApStore, only a version CD/DVD to iPhoto.

Even if you can not be updated iPhoto to a compatible version, you can open your iPhoto library by dragging the Photos icon in the Dock.  It would be preferred to migrate to Photos, because iPhoto supports is more well, you cannot order prints more than iPhoto.

  • Incredibly slow MacPro running El Capitan 10.11.6

I have serious problems with my MacPro, and many of my problems seem to have arisen when I moved to El Capitan. My computer starts fine, but takes an excessive length - 10 - 15 minutes - to launch Apple Mail and InDesign 2015 CC in the Creative Suite. It's frustrating and I'm not sure what to do. I am a complete klutz when it comes to the "mechanics" of Mac with their operating system, even if I'm working with them since my first SE and PageMaker 1.0. My Mac over the years have run softly and I've met not something like what confronts me now. I don't know what to do - I do give up the machine and buy a new one, or is my MacPro "recoverable"? I found mention of EtreCheck on a post last night so I downloaded and it ran today. I hope someone can give me some guidance as to what I do then. Here's the report from EtreCheck:

After the upgrade to El Capitan 10.11.5 shift, Alt and command of my keyboard keys started to act arbitrarily, they are suspended and do not work properly (I already tried several keyboards and is not Firefox or Chrome). This behavior is exacerbated in Illustrator CC, but also affect all programs and even my office. It drives me crazy, does anyone know how I can fix this problem?

Mi IMac is a 27-inch, late 2013, 3.4 GHz Intel Core i5, and use a Wacom Intuos Pro.

Could possibly be interfering with the entry Wacom drivers.

Start safe mode and see if there are still have the problem there. Safe mode is slow and some things do not work, but it prevents some third-party boot loading software. If your keyboard works properly in Mode without fail, this would imply that some third-party software is causing the problem. If so, check the updates.

It also takes more time to start because the BONE is clean some system caches that can also help.

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning - Apple Support

  • Should I move to El Capitan? (EtreCheck included)

Hello, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to update the Mavericks to El Capitan. Especially because of the updates of the video card. When I bought my Imac, games run smoothly, but now the quality is declining

Upgrade the operating system to a computer running slowly will usually make the problem worse. You should first try to solve the underlying problem.

When you see a beachball cursor or the slowness is particularly bad, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.

These must be run as administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.

Run the Console application in one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

The title of the Console window should be all Messages. If it isn't, select

SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ all Messages

in the list of logs on the left. If you don't see this list, select

List of newspapers seen ▹ display

in the menu at the top of the screen bar.

Each message in the journal begins with the date and time when it was entered. Highlight date back to the time you noted above.

Select the messages entered since then until the end of the episode, or until they begin to repeat, whichever comes first.

Copy messages to the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command + V.

The journal contains a large amount of information, almost all this is useless to solve any particular problem. When you post a journal excerpt, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.

Please don't dump blindly thousands of lines in the journal in this discussion.

Please do not post screenshots of log messages - text poster.

Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

When you post the journal excerpt, an error message may appear on the web page: "you include content in your post that is not allowed", or "the message contains invalid characters." It's a bug in the forum software. Thanks for posting the text on Pastebin, then post here a link to the page you created.

If you have an account on Pastebin, please do not select private in exposure menu to paste on the page, because no one else that you will be able to see it.

  • Can't reboot iMac issues Finder in El Capitan

I had some problems with an iMac running El Capitan. The question seems to be Finder, specifically. I can't stop it. I tried to let it stop by itself from one day to the next without result.

Occasionally, I get this message: the screenshot below is Dutch but said something along the lines of:

Your Mac is off not because Finder could not be stopped. Please leave Finder to continue.

    I tried many things

    • I tried shutting it down with a hard reset (button / stop and a shutdown of the terminal command) and reboot.
    • I tried to drive in recovery mode repair,
    • I tried to reset the NVRAM.
    • I tried to stop Finder with the usual suspects: Force Quit, killall Finder .

The latter does something, but certainly not what I expect:

It seems that Finder left, is no longer in the list activity monitor. He raises with terminal command open . user's home folder gives the error:

    LSOpenURLsWithRole() failed with error -600...

It is reproducible in the sense that it always happens on an iMac. I don't know how to fix it. Any suggestions?

Outdated software for a Tablet Wacom can prevent the closing. If you no longer use the device, please remove the software. Otherwise, update the latest version of the Web site of the manufacturer.

After following the instructions on the removal link above, you may also need to open the users and groups in system preferences, select the login items tab and remove all Wacom related items. It is because the uninstall program is defective.

Back up all data before making any changes.

  • El Capitan 10.11.5 made everything worse

When I upgraded to the departure of El Capitan, I noticed several problems, including difficulties for start up after installation, slow processing speed and shorter battery life. Since this update I have not been able to close down my MBP - my office clears them, my dock remains, and he never stopped unless I do it manually. And my battery drains like WOAH. I followed some advice online regarding the continuous change of settings and clearing out the old files, but El Capitan to be the worst 'upgrade' I've ever known.

It seems that this isn't an uncommon problem of some of what I read, but I don't know a lot about running terminal, and frankly, why should I? This computer is barely two years, for what we are paying for these things - and the term 'upgrade' - must be run like a dream! Guess that's something that can be evaluated under Apple Care without additional charge, can I someone please advise?

If you have installed a Wacom tablet software is a known problem in 10.11.5

Uninstall the software, check there is no element of remaining Wacom components Log-in

 > Sys Pref > users and groups > login items.  Unlock the lock and use it to remove these items

    Restart and test.

If Wacom is critical in your workflow, reinstall the last updated of Wacom drivers

  • I installed El Capitan 11.5 and now my computer turns

    Hello

I installed the latest update of El Capitan on my imac and now it will not be closed so I need to keep off and hold power button. I've even left overnight during the closing down to see if he would subsequently, but it's not. I ran repair disk, and that did not solve the problem. Help!

    Thank you!

Uninstall the driver from Wacom and software. Make sure that none of that Wacom is in the connection points.

  • MBP and Hercules DJ Control Air with El Capitan

My son has this Panel DJ Hercules, which he uses when children have a part here at home. He has used successfully in the past on the MBP with the Mavericks, Yosemite, and he wants to work again with his next birthday. • Constant beach ball since upgrade to El Capitan

    Hello

I use a middle of the retina 2014 MBP with 16 GB of ram and a 512 GB SSD, the machine would never cause me problems or failure until I updated to El Capitan.

Now I am constant beach balls gets when I use the machine, it is sometimes finder which crashes, or Safari, whenever the accident lasts 5-10 minutes until the BONE is still sensitive. I can switch between applications, but can't do anything with them, force quit does not work until after the accident.

I was hoping that I could go down with time machine, but my previous backups seem to have disappeared, so I only have the backups I've made since the update to El Capitan, so now my only options are to find the source of accidents or wipe my machine and do a clean install.

I hope someone can help me to get to the bottom of this issue. I tried to run in safe mode and everything works well, I tried to connect as a guest user but accidents still happen so it seems to be a problem with OS.

  • My 1st generation iPod touch can not save on my iMac El Capitan but can to my MacBook Snow Leopard ' 08. Why the iMac think that the backup is corrupt?

Of course, I'm using my iMac El Capitan, but when I bought the music today and went to add to my iPod touch iTunes ended up freezing. Long story short, I could delete the files from the iPod but can not add one; Adding a single song led to suspended iTunes and the cancellation of the synchronization via the iPod of course makes no difference.

After going through all the rigamarole any attempt to delete all backups for iPod, both through preferences and in/Library/Application Support / MobileSync / Backup, I always had the same problem. I can't add music on my iPod via the iMac, nor can I save it there. Yes, I rebooted.

And so, after many tears, I pulled out my MacBook ' 08, who narrowly missed the cut for El Capitan and so still has Snow Leopard. And now my iPod backed up very well! (I cursed myself for not to copy previous backup before it was replaced, but hey.) They are all under the same Apple ID, so at this point, I'm simply redownloading all of my new purchases on the ol' MacBook ' so I can add it to the iPod... but how long this will be a viable solution? (I realize using products Apple since 2008 is an affront, but you've got to do what you do I do, and I don't currently have pocket for 32 GB change.)

So the question. Is there an incompatibility of software between my 1st generation iPod touch (3.1.3) and my iMac (El Capitan with iTunes 12.3.2.35 10.11.3)? Is there really a degree of corruption here than Snow Leopard with iTunes 10.6.8 11.4 (18) does not recognize?

TL; Dr: I can do my iPod touch backup of my iMac?

(My apologies for what is the format, I still haven't managed to brevity, and these a few hours researching in it made me frustrated).

Edit: I forgot to mention that I tried to copy on the backup freshly prepared from the MacBook on the iMac and received the same exact error message.

  • El Capitan beachball memory WARNING etreCheck

Hi all, just went from Snow Leopard to El Capitan a week ago. System worked a little slower that previously, for example, beachball delay when moving from one application to the next. Everything froze last night and I got the message "your system is running out of Application memory". I left a few apps and he was running again, so I did a search on which lead me to some previous discussions on these forums. A little advice that seemed useful was to run etreCheck I get & post the report below. I guess that the problem is due to software obsolete that are always installed and can see some things in the report which appear to be problematic, but I don't know exactly what to do to correct them. Would appreciate any advice on how to proceed.

    Thank you

    Michael

    com.evernote.Evernote - /Applications/Evernote.app/Contents/MacOS/Evernote

Everything froze last night and I got the message "your system is running out of Application memory".

This message means that there is no excessive swapping of data between physical memory (that is, tokens of memory on the logic board) and virtual memory (one or more files on the boot volume.) This activity is relatively slow and causes the entire system to be less sensitive. It can happen for two reasons:

A process of long duration with a memory leak (a kind of bug)

Not enough memory for your usage pattern

Please note that if the cause is a memory leak, install more memory will not help. It's likely you have already more than 4 GB of memory. Hunt for leaking memory can be difficult, and it may come down to a process of elimination.

These instructions are for OS X 10.9 and later versions. Some details may be slightly different for earlier versions of Mac OS X.

When you notice the slowdown, open the activity monitor application, then select all processes in the view menu, if it is not already selected. Select the memory the real Mem of the treatment twice table column header to sort the table with the highest value at the top. If you do not see this column, select

View ▹ columns ▹ real memory

    in the menu bar.

If a process (excluding the "kernel_task") uses a lot more memory than all the others, which could be an indication of a leak. A better indication would be a process that constantly catches real more memory over time without ever letting go. Here is an example of how it's done.

"Wired" memory should be less than half of the total. That memory is not exchanged, but makes available physical memory that you may then in Exchange. If most of the memory is wired, which can be an indication of a leak memory in a third-party program that modifies the low-level operating system. Ask for advice in this case.

If you do not have a clear memory leak, the options are to install more memory (if possible) or less than programs running concurrently.

The following suggestion is reserved for users familiar with the shell. For a more accurate, but potentially misleading test, run the following command:

sudo leaks -nocontext -nostacks process | grep total

where process is the name of a process, you think of a memory leak. Almost every process will cause a memory leak. the question is how, and especially how the leakage increases with time. I can't be more specific. See the manual page leaks (1) and the Apple Developer documentation for more details.
