Incomplete table of contents in Word output

I'm working on the provision of a piece of small intro to the project RH8.01 to serve as a tool for the integration of customer.

First rev I left the default TOC selected inplace but only these 12 tpoics I want to use. (For the record, I am building a few small A4 sims to be inserted in the .pdf when this process works properly.)  The result worked except that only Glassary and Index pages were in the table of contents.

2nd Rev I built a FAKE book entitled "Intro: and then addeed my subjects to it.» The result was the same with only Glassary and Index pages in the

TABLE OF CONTENTS.

I could use the full table of contents and simply remove the folders and subjects I need, but that seems rather ineffective.

Any direction or the thoughts of the people?

To be honest I'm not really following what the problem is. No matter what you do with the table of contents, the printout contains only the glossary and index? If so, I think that the missing link, is that the table of contents when you first define the print layout are by default at this time here. If you change the contents of the table of contents, it does not change what is available for printing, for good reason. Not everyone wants to be the same.

  • Table of contents, lack of output Responsive HTML5 (Robohelp 2015)

    Problem : When I generate Responsive HTML5 output using a conditional compilation expression, there is no TOC in the output.

    I know that good content is included in / excluded from the output based on the research I'm doing in the output. The only problems seems to be there is no table of contents.

    This could be the cause of this problem?

    I will check later but it seems that you are missing a key point that I made in my previous answer (16 in the thread).

    You said that you have removed all the tags with the exception of a few topics. I said to apply a different tag to subjects you don't want not included but you don't have that, you have applied just 911 that you want and the TOC then included everything.     The last point he subjects unmarked reads:

    Note that any topic that has NO tag should be included in the output.

    So what you declare in your previous post. I am sure that all unwanted subjects with any other tag marking will fix things.

  • Is it possible to have multiple tables of contents in webhelp output that can be chosen according to the role of the user/client?

    Our product is composed of several modules, for example, the modules-1 thru 8 - module.  We sold all 8 modules or some of them - in different combinations to different customers. I've developed help online in the same direction, that is, in the modules, help-1 to ' help-8. Each help module has its own table of contents.  According to the requirement for a particular client, I integrate the required modules, build the main table of contents using the mini-table of existing materials for each assistance, generate the sequence to browse and compile. This has been my routine until now.

    Now, the product development team would like to automate this process: for example, they want to give me the help of output for the 8 modules in integrated form, as well as tables of contents separate for a combination of different modules for different customers like, assistance, modules 1 to 8, 1-2-3, 1-5-6, etc..  They feel the moment this TOC fell in the output of aid, it should automatically start functioning - without compiling!

    I explained the process used to develop Robohelp projects, how TOCs are built, etc., but they want to know if there is a work around, so that when a customer asks for modules 3, 7 and 8, immediately, they can go down the table of contents (for 3-7-8) at the end of the project, and it should work - without compiling , or anything of that kind. I tried Google and Adobe Forum, but couldn't find something suitable.

    Do you have a solution? A solution to this problem?

    What you need is merged help.

    You generate a parent and all the child projects. You always install the parent and then any child projects, you need. OCD, search and index adjusts automatically. See the pages on my site.

    Note, however, that many people take another view for the development of your product. See all assistance and people then view information about something and realize that they need!

  • Incomplete table of contents

    We are building a magazine with content and ads.

    Ads pages are identified as being an 'ad' in the folio Builder. We unchecked the box to hide the page in the table of contents.

    If I look at the table of contents in the iPad, all pages are there.

    However, in the web viewer, all pages containing the tag as a "Announces" do not exist?

    No idea why?

    This is as expected, the Web Viewer does not display ads in the table of contents, regardless of the skin of the box of the table of contents.

  • Problem Word document with table conversion table of contents

    I use MS Word 2003 and Acrobat 9 in Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

    I created the manual using Word, I put position (s) with 3 levels deep and created the table of contents in Word.
    It seems as expected. There are titles, subtitles and subtle (3rd level).

    Table of contents in Word works very well. No problem.

    In the PDFMaker options on the Bookmarks tab, I put 1 TOC with 3 levels.
    However, after you convert the entire document in PDF, bookmarks seem very strange.

    They contain only the titles (no subtitles at all), each bookmarked line ends with some number 3, 4 or 5 that I have not idea what it is and these bollmarks point to page table of contents no to the page, they should have.

    I have read a lot of posts with similar problems and tried all of the suggestions posted.
    I tried:

    1.

    Reinstalling Adobe (by removing all of the related files), well I don't have any older versions (and facilities) of Acrobat in this computer.
    2.

    In Adobe PDFMaker uncheck the option "enable accessibility and...» »

    3.

    Set up printer to Adobe PDF

    4.

    In Word > parameters-OCD I ticked the option "use hyperlinks instead of page numbers.

    I also tried in Adobe PDFMaker use not FAKE, but to use 'convert Word headings to bookmarks.
    The result was horrible. Double bookmarks, reverse a lot of bookmarks empty and level 1 level 2 positions (I think that created by blank lines in the charts on the pages).
    Please note that by using the same word headings create TOC without any problem!
    The only plus side was that some of these bookmarks came with correct links.

    These bokkmarks were created using "New bookmarks from structure" option in Acrobat (after conversion of the document)

  • The structure of the table of contents get won't suffer if the structure of output file is changed?

    I used FlashHelp to generate output for a project so the output folder has a structure, now while deploying the server if I make changes in the structure of output file/folder it will affect the "table of contents" or any other characteristic.

    Also, while deploying the o/p in files on the server what needs to be done so that the new custom skin (which i using flash) appears to the help pages for my request, as I call the o/p my request htm files directly by using a script.

    I hope that the explanation I posted is understandable.

    The output of your project files cannot be moved or renamed without breaking the links throughout your project. Any changes made to folders or files MUST be made inside your RoboHelp project. It is best to think of your output in a single file, even if it is not. In other words, your output may be moved between places in its entirety

    In regards to your new skin, it must be imported into your RoboHelp project and specified within your layout of the FlashHelp single source.

    Yes, you can have a one word title, by assigning a paragraph style title to this one word. No, you cannot change the text in a Table of contents, but you can change paragraph style font attributes (line) and add for example, a head of points between the types of OCD paragraph and page numbers. No part of the table of contents will not provide hyperlinks in exported PDF documents.

    When you look up in the menu bar, you can see the word iPages, or simply Pages. There is no product of iPages.

  • Word 2007 - Insert Table of contents constantly causes problems, computer crash!

    I have problems with the functionality of Table of contents for the word.

    I have Microsoft Office 2007 (Home and Student) and it's a genuine copy that I bought brand new an office supply store.

    The product works perfectly apart from the problem with the Table of contents.

    Whenever I try to insert a table of contents in a document, insert the table of contents, but then my CPU will jump up to 99 and Office will freeze (I need to CTRL + ALT + DELETE to quit the program, because I can't even click on the red box X on the corner). I tried to restart the computer, running virus scans, etc. I've been having this problem since I bought Office about 6 months ago and he won't let me create some very important documents.

    I find that the exact time of the accident the most often happens when I click somewhere on the table of contents after inserting the it. In particular, it freezes at the present time any popup 'police' boring and useless box (small police box that arrives just above top of everywhere where the cursor was clicked). The police box appears completely (this is partly translucent) when it freezes.

    Does anyone have any ideas of how I can stop this problem happen? Or how I can stop the police zone little coming to hover above everything I click on?

  • Table of contents are not present in CHM output generated with Robohelp 2015

    Hello. When I generate CHM output HR 2015, the table of contents are missing, but the search and glossary tabs are present. I won't open the file from a server, but from my desk. I copied from the server on my desktop and renamed it. The file has been created, I believe, RH 9, but I generated successfully exit CHM with this file in HR 10. Any ideas? Thank you!

    If I were in your shoes, the next thing I would try is to open the pod output configuration. Define a new CHM window there. So be sure to choose this new window in your presentation of single Source recipe.

    Check the reference to the table of contents page and remove entries from <$paranum>of the various paratags that you specified for the table of contents.

    Hi all. I would appreciate your help in this matter.

    Currently my page format will-

    Section

    1 subtitle. Lorem ipsem asjdlffojsdlf asldfjlsjfklsf.

    These two have a point each, with the other having automatically number each paragraph style (where the 1. + the dash).

    The Question- How can I get my OCD to show that the word 'subtitle' and is not the number, and the rest of the paragraph is?

    Also - think There are a few paragraphs that have the same style (so that each paragraph numbered), but I don't want to show them on the table of contents, as they do not have a subtitle.

    Ah, you're right. You cannot apply the condition directly as part of a style of characters, but you can always do it in several steps.

    First define the style of character, and in this case everything there need for attributes is a unique name. Once defined, apply it to the text a nested style or GREP style in your paragraph style from the list after the text that you want to keep the separator character before the page number. Once the generated table of contents you can use find/replace to find this style of character and to apply the condition, and then finally to hide the State in the Panel (State must be visible for search/replace to apply it).

  • Conversion file Word 2011 to PDF Table of contents and hyperlinks are broken

    When you convert a document form Word 2011 (Mac) to PDF using Acrobat Pro.  The Table of contents and hyperlinks are broken and do not work.  I bought Acrobat Pro 11 to try to resolve this problem.

    Fixes IE11 and Chrome on the Adobe web site ask you to put their new files in RoboHTML templates_stock folder. However, I need these fixes for RoboHelp for Word. Is there a such difficulty?

    I use 10 RoboHelp for Word, generating WebHelp.

    I try to solve the problems about the table of contents, Index, and search appears not not or not being not completely functional IE11 or Chrome, not including many of our customers use. I found a couple of workarounds that my boss doesn't like.

    • In IE11, if the end user adds the web site to the compatibility view list, they all appear and function correctly, but my boss is adamant about not wanting the end user having to do anything to solve the problem.
    • In Chrome, I can get a table of contents and a non-functional search to appear if the user turns off JavaScript for the site, but this solution also violates the lists see also in help. Again, made my boss wants to not that the end user to have to do.

    His solution is just to generate using pure HTML, but then the search won't work in IE11 or Chrome (I'm not sure about Firefox). I are based largely on the research, when I'm working on the product, so I really don't want to lose the search function.

    Help, please.

    As I said in my reply to your message in the RoboHelp for Word forum, there is no patch for this.

    I can understand your not wanting to Manager end users will do anything and agree with him. However, the fixes for these issues in HTML HR are simply not available in RoboHelp for Word.

    Bookmarks created automatically based on the word 2013 Table of contents.  In the earlier version of Word, the Style of the Table of contents built into bookmarks when PDFing.

    I thought about it.  There is a new check box, you must activate in 2013 of Word when exporting to PDF format that allows to convert the elements of bookmarks when PDFing.

  • Duplicate sections throughout the table of contents after generating the HTML5 multiscreen output

    Use: RoboHelp 10, version 10.0.0.287

    Steps to reproduce the problem:

    1. click on file > create > main layout (Multiscreen_HTML5)

    2 al ' Generate window click on [Save and Generate]

    3. wait

    4. click on [view results]

    5 results show swathes of the table of contents reproduced in other sections.  10 more times to repeat the generation before that the entire table of contents points are correct and I can publish.  This is not preventing me from doing the job, but it's certainly a time killer.

    Background: I inherited a working version.  I did not create it.  I have more knowledge of the HTML language, but I'm not a developer.  I didn't upgrade beyond RH10 option.  I have studied this many times, but have not been able to find a solution.  The only other thing I've seen sometimes are error messages related to the toctree.js file, but I still don't understand those.  Even when I have not, this past yet, but I have included this error just in case it may be related, although I suspect that it is a separate issue.  I don't currently have the line in the js file because this sample is old and I have not seen the question at least a month.

    Other Notes: I've seen a few posts on a similar question in the printed version, but, I do not have a printed version.  I don't know if that makes a difference, and do I know if anyone in the past that put in place or even where to go to watch.

    Try to move the project to somewhere that the path is not so long and generate a new folder.
