incorporation of a .swf in html page file

I am creating a page of xhtml. In what I have to put a button which I created in flash, and is now a swf file. I was advised to use Dreamweaver to get the code for this. Now when I discovered the page, everything seems fine, BUT the button does not work. Here's the code.  What I am doing wrong? Personally I can't see a link to my homepage which is located in the same direcory and where I'd like to enter the key to take me.

Hello

approach (translated from my German DW): Insert-> Media-> swf. After that your "h5" looks like this (in my German DW):

  • the link swf to html pages

    Hi I'm new to DW/FLA, so this may be simple but I can't understand it. I have a swf embedded on my index.html page. It has 4 images on it, and when each image is reversed, it changes. I coded it through Flash successfully. In addition to the reversal, I need to have each image link to a separate html page (home.html, about.html, contact.html, etc.). I tried getURL, but as "home.html" is not www.home.com/home.html, it doesn't seem to work. This site is not live yet so I don't have web URL link to.

    Can anyone help me please with this code. FYI, the SWF is AS2.

    In Flash, you'll need to each image a link to your Web site absolute URL.  Where votre_domaine.fr is the name of your current web site.  And home.html is the default index page required by your host server.

    A Flash preloader has nothing what so ever to do with HTML and is never added to HTML to load files Flash. It is created under the main .swf, not a separate file.

    Flash preloader is created in the first images of the FLA Flash file. It measures the amount of data that has already been downloaded compared to the total amount of data of the entire .swf file. Once this amount 100%, it goes down the playhead to Flash the main storyline in this area of the timeline that contains the main content. So preloader can occupy the 1-5 images, once the amount of downloaded data reaches 100%, the playhead moves to frame 6 and playes the rest of the timeline.

    For more information and review Google works preload.

  • Multiples. SWF in a HTML page

    Hi all

    I am trying to display several objects .swf into an html page.  The first object of .swf plays very well, but the other does not.  I've looked everywhere for the answer, but I don't know what to do (Besides, I'm a Flash noob).  My page is http://users.wpi.edu/~cdaley_jw/animation.html, please do not hesitate to consult my code.

    Dreamweaver tells me that swfobject.registerObject exist, or something like that, but I see that this code which is used elsewhere.  Swfobject.js in my main folder, too.  I don't have any idea what I'm missing.

    Thank you very much

    Chris

    If you use the FLVPlayback component, using a relative address should not be a problem. Click on the component when it is on the stage and in the Panel properties, parameters, set the path of the WEB PAGE containing the .swf in the .flv file in the section "contentPath".

    Since you have the .flv in the same folder as the Web page, the relative path is:

    Daley_Christopher_Walk_Cycle.FLV

    Although not necessary, the absolute path is:

    http://users.WPI.edu/~cdaley_jw/Daley_Christopher_Walk_Cycle.FLV

    Good luck!

  • Making a swf to wait until the rest of the HTML page is ready?

    I have a site with a common SWF embedded at the top of each page and then regurlar HTML graph/text content below it.

    I expect that the SWF file can be a little late for it load the rest of the page would appear almost immediately... and that happens from time to time.

    However, the only thing that I didn't expect and don't understand, is that sometimes the SWF will appear first and even start to play, but the rest of the page does not appear for a second or two, so I find myself with this SWF floating black film.

    Not quite sure what is now the back page, since most graphs are shared and common on every page.  There are a few embedded videos (with frames displays, so they shouldn't take too long to load) on some pages, which are probably the culprits.

    What I do not understand (plus, how to optimize pages), that's why the SWF appears and plays, if there is an item in the table that contains all the content of the page.  I thought that the tables displays only once all that is responsible... So, why the SWF would appear before the other items are ready?  I'm assuming that the other (not common) elements are not finished downloading... Although I am starting to suspect that perhaps that they are, and the delay is something else... like the QT embedded in "initializing" or something?

    Anyway, I don't think there is a solution here, but I will ask...  Is there a way for SWF waiting for the rest of the page to finish doing anything, it is that is causing the delay?

    Strange thing is it's the kind of random...  Sometimes it loads instantly... other times, either the SWF is floating on a black background for a second or two... or the rest of the page appears, and this is the SWF file that is overdue.

    Does anyone have advice, words of wisdom, or pieces of trivia that could be useful here?

    As far as I know, you can't really control how to load an html page.   Things find a route faster than others.  Requests arriving on the server and things delivered by any way they can.  Some things are made in the local cache, so there is always a risk that certain elements are readily available despite their size, and other tiny things get caught up in travel.

    First of all, the size of the screen is never the same as the size of the browser to not use if
    you want to keep the proportions when scaling your files and do not distort the
    content. Keep in mind that the browser has its chrome all around, more grand, being on top
    of the screen (navigation), bar State and borders on the left and right sides.
    Second, always resize movie to the top, never down. While the scaling of movie you able to
    Keep your text, not the case when you descale movies especially with small text.
    who become illegible. Then you make movies in (example) 600 x 400 and intensify their
    instead.

    To fill the browser window, go to file - publish setting and on the HTML tab
    change the PIXEL size of PERCENT and set 100% x 100% - publish.
    Open the published html document recently opened in your favorite HTML editor, such as Notepad.
    Dreamweaver and Frontpage, adjust the margins up, down, left and
    right to zero pixel. This will make it fill the window entirely. Flash is
    not give this possibility.

  • Navigate to another HTML page in the same section file

    Hi all

    It is possible to navigate to another HTML page in the same file of the article? E.g. index.html contains an < a > tag has a href pointing to page2.html? This seems to work in the application of preflight in the iOS, but not in Windows. Currently I use relative links, for example

    < a href = "page2.html" > Page 2 < /a >

    Should I use a different syntax? For example

    < a href = "navto://page2.html" > Page 2 < /a >

    Thank you

    Frank

    I found the solution. Use rather JS. Windows.Location.href seems to work for ios and windows.

  • Dragging several gif files to an HTML page

    I used to be able to drag 100 or more GIFs in a Dreamweaver html page empty (in the CS6 version) in a single action (directly from Windows Explorer to Dream weaver. Now at some point since creative Clod was released, he ceased to be available, and I get a message saying that " Dreamweaver cannot open the .gif files. "Please choose HTML, XML or other compatible files." So I manually switch the import process one at a time (choose Insert > choose image, open the folder, select gif file (only, it will not allow multiple selection, click OK, and repeat that 100 times).) What was formerly take 10 seconds can now take more than an hour.

    Is there a way to get around this without having to import an image file at a time?

    This feature still exists, but you must be in "Design" mode and no split or live view to make it work.

    At the top of the document window, select the drop-down arrow, and then select design.

  • Insertion of files Adobe Edge in my html page

    Hi all

    I have an urgent problem of inserting a series of animations that I created in Adobe Edge in my portfolio website.

    I have 6 files to insert, which form a series of short animations.

    When I publish each file "adobe" edge, I understand that you must insert the Adobe Edge enforcement code in the head section and Edge Class code in the body section.

    What I'm not clear, this is where I save html, edge.js and edgeActions.js files. Should it be stored in the main folder where is saved the index.html file?

    And where images must be saved?

    If I try to move these files into subfolders, which seem to make sense to me, the animation does not work.

    What I leave me puzzled, you also need to record a 'edge.5.0.1.min.js' and a ' jquery-file 2.0.3.min.js in my javascript file. But whenever I publish an edge file, I need to save these files with the same name. And I don't know where these files must be saved.

    Hope I'm making sense here. I'm new to web development, and I hope I can show these animations on my portfolio website.

    Did someone met with these problems when you attempt to insert adobe edge files in an html page?

    Thank you

    S

    When you publish your animated project of edge, go to the "published" folder and extract all the files in the following folder titled 'web' and place them (as they are) in the folder corresponding to your index.html file. Once you add running Adobe Edge code animate the animation to your index.html file should be responsible. Don't forget that the edge file is already linked to image and js files in the exact form they appear after the opening of the "web" folder Thus any movement of files without taking into account other will break the link. For example: you can not put the .js to another folder after publication file because the file html for your project is related to the .js file exactly where he was when the publication was made. So he'll keep looking for this file in this location unless otherwise stated.

    An example of how you can organize your files: when you open your Web folder, it should be arranged something like this

    • -Images
    • -example.js
    • -exampleproject - edge.html

    Once the files are placed in the location of the index file we set something like:

    • -Images
    • -example.js
    • HTML - exampleproject-edge (NOTE: this html file becomes irrelevant, after adding the runtime code in the index file)
    • -index.html

    Once this is done, you can add your other projects as well. You will have to manually put all images used for each project in a single "record"of the images. "

    I hope this helps clarify things a bit!

    );

    t.Start ();

    var picTimer:Timer = new Timer (2000);

    picTimer.start ();

    picTimer.addEventListener (TimerEvent.TIMER, timehandler);

    function timehandler(event:TimerEvent):void {}

    setChildIndex (getChildAt (7), 0);

    }

    A way around that is to have a PHP file on your server that reads the XML feed and your swf reads the data from the PHP file rather than directly from the external domain.
