incorrect synchronization

Today, I decided to add a new device - my mobile with Android. Everything was ok - until I saw what happened on my PC... everthing, excuse me, fu * d upwards. Bookmarks and folders change the order. Also in one of the favorite folders are in a different order than before. This isn't everything. A few bookmarks in that folder are doubled! I don't know, but it seems that there are old favorites, deleted a long time ago.
I am totally dissatisfied with Firefox Sync... Is it possible to back up a previous state?

Hello

Sorry about that. It can sometimes be annoying. It is something that is still under construction.

Firefox automatically records the bookmark backups. Restore a backup from before when you configure synchronization.

check https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/restore-bookmarks-from-backup-or-move-them#w_restoring-from-backups

Also you can unlink the device in the list that you added to the syn

Use this button at the bottom of the Sync window to disassociate the device.

Please let us know how it works.

  • Horizon Workspace Windows client unnecessary synchronization errors

Client Windows Workspace horizon shows me useless and incorrect synchronization errors, this happens usually when I copy several new files in my folder of the Horizon. When I check the status of the files the Client workspace reported as having failed to sync they are on the server of the workspace very well, but I see always message 'file doesn't have a sync.."and <>! alarm at the top of the icon of the status bar bar Horizon.

    Horizon_Sync_Error.png

In this case synchronization error message is caused by the directory entry itself, but all files sync very well. These errors must be cleaned automatically if the customer's re - synchronizes and he succeeds, current behavior causes a lot of confusion among end users and it will result in unnecessary calls to the help desk. Please fix this.

From the workspace 1.5 I no longer see problems of synchronizing with the Windows client, so that this problem has been fixed.

  • Number of function calls

    Hello

Scout has been very useful to optimize my app, it is a great tool!

However, when you do the profiling of Actionscript, I couldn't find a way to display the number of times a function is called. It is important for me to make the difference between a function that takes too much time and a function that is called too many times.

Is there a way to view the number of calls that I missed? Is this something, you could add in an update for Scout? Or this information is available because you do statistical sampling?

    Thank you!

You are right that we do not show you a function call counts, because we use statistical sampling. What you want to, should save us every single function call, and this would have a very high cost and provide incorrect synchronization data. The most important thing is to accurately measure the time to function, so you can optimize the right thing, we use sampling (you can learn more on this subject, here: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/scout/articles/accurate-profiling-with-scout.html).

If you really want to measure the number of times a specific function is called, you can use custom telemetry. Because it uses the instrumentation rather than sampling, it will record each function call. Caution - If you insert a quick feature which is really often called custom telemetry, overhead will be skewing the data that you see in Scouting (it will look like the function took a lot more time that was the case). So I would say that you run Scout normally (with no telemetry custom and no setting of "high-overhead" enabled), to determine what functions are taking the longest, then use custom telemetry to study how often these functions are called. You can find out how to use the custom here telemetry:

    http://www.Adobe.com/devnet/Scout/articles/Adobe-Scout-custom-telemetry.html

You will see your instrumentation custom panels top activities and sequence of activity. If you right click on the table header in the Top activities Panel, you can enable the 'Number' column, which will show you what you want.

Another option, you can use it, the memory allocation tracking feature. Records all allowances, so it will give you an accurate count of the number of times where a function is called, as long as it allocates always something (it won't show you calls that perform no function allocation). Of course, timing won't be accurate with this market, because the load is high.

Try to disconnect and reconnect to synchronize via the Firefox > Preferences > Sync window.

You may also delete the signedInUser.json file in the profile folder.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

    • Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)
  • Whenever I run firefox I get "Sync has encountered an error during synchronization: Incorrect account name or password." Sync automatically retrying this action. "

I am using the new firefox Sync since it is has been implemented without problem. I got this error after you perform the following steps:

    (1) old drive replaced with the new SSD drive and installed Windows 7 drivers etc + Firefox
    (2) deleted AAA@***.com Firefox Sync account
    (3) BBB@***.com Firefox Sync account created
    (4) imported my favorites last folder E:\Users\***\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\***.default\bookmarkbackups on the old drive.

Since then, whenever I open Firefox I get the above error. If I enter the password 'Firefox Sync' sync works fine until the next time that I restart Firefox.

I think I've tried all the solutions on the firefox support forums and Firefox Sync troubleshooting.
    Among others, I have:

    (1) updating Firefox is
    (2) signedInUser.json deleted, restarted firefox with Add-ons disabled, account forget Firefox Sync, reconnect to the account
    (3) deleted Firefox Sync account and recreated
    (4) completely uninstalled with Revo Uninstaller, file C:\Users\***\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\ deleted, reinstalled firefox firefox.

  • Sync has encountered an error during synchronization: unknown error?

I did all the procedures to run the synchronization. I always get this error message. As another user, mine started after the last update. Does anyone have a solution for this? Thank you all for reading and useful advice. (Turn off sync is NOT useful.)

Thank you, according to the newspaper, synchronization fails because there is a malformed bookmark that apparently breaks things.
I don't know how it would be possible to identify the incorrect one. one thing you might try is to go to the library of Favorites (ctrl + shift + b) > import and backup and export your bookmarks in the .html file and backup as a .json once. You can then try to re-import from these sources to backup again and see if this can solve the problem...

  • After the last update, password synchronization error

I've just updated to FF 35.0.1 for the immediately previous version. Had already updated the new synchronization and everything worked perfectly. Now on one computer, I get "sync has encountered an error during synchronization: Icorrect account name or password." Synchronize automatically retrying this action. At some point after trying to connect, I get a notification that "sync is enabled and will begin momentarily", however, I always shows as disconnected and the same error message. This is the computer on which I synchronize all the others, so it is more important that sync works here.

I am running windows 7 SP1 with all latest updates. My last completed sync with one minute before the update to FF.

When you try to sync my new phone android (galaxy S4 to S5 galaxy), my firefox on firefox sync profile name is incorrect by a letter. Instead of kokochako, it reads kokocako. IM concerned because my name and my password is the same that I use to log on to my laptop and my previous smartphones. I can't synchronize my acct or make changes to my profile name. I hit forgot password to reset, but because the email is wrong Im do not receive an email to change. I have not changed my name ever and my password has not been changed in at least 6 months. He repeated my name and pass is incorrect. My account has been hacked or compromised? All my info is still on my laptop, just under the wrong email address, im afraid...

I'm worried because I can log in using my laptop (of course my good profile and password), but when I click on synchronize the name next to the profile icon is incorrect.

What version of Firefox are you running on your labtop?
Also on your labtop when the wrong name appears where you see that name, can you please attach a screenshot? How to make a screenshot of my problem?

To answer your question about the identity or the keystrokes, you can run a malware scan to search your computer for malware. Regarding the identity, the user with the e-mail address that appears under the wrong name can receive your confirmation email to reset your password and may be confused (assuming that the name is the email that does not display properly)

To answer your question how sync works when the next to the profile name icon is incorrect. Can also provide a screenshot of it? What is an email? I don't know which menu you're talking about.

To fix this, you can create a copy of the profile on the laptop, backup and restore Firefox profiles information disconnect the wrong account and add the appropriate account and password.

    How to:

    1. You must disconnect the incorrect account name.
    • Open Firefox with Profile Manager to verify that there are no more than a profile using several profiles
    • Otherwise disconnect the account in the preferences/Options > Sync Menu
    1. Make a copy of the profile with the link above or below
    1. Attach the appropriate account name and synchronize devices or that the account does not have the profile data is in the profile folder. Create a new account with this profile will keep you informed.

I use a custom synchronization server and get the "incorrect recovery key. Please try again. "whenever I click on"Connect ". The synchronization log that exists in the desktop version of Firefox is not present in the mobile version, so I have no idea how debug this further on my own.

OK, I think I thought about her. There is a disparity of the bug/feature in Firefox mobile compared to the desktop version.

The mobile version will only accept the most modern "encoded friendly" AES key. However, desktop version will accept any old rope, you give him (which he then turns into a key using the magic).

There is a way around it. If you have a desktop version of firefox, you can get the mass of the key of the synchronization version. Just set up sync with your password. Then go to Preferences-> Sync-> manage account-> my recovery key. There is a version of your key mobile Firefox will accept.

Unfortunately, it is now crapping on another bug and refusing to accept the URL of the server. God this thing is buggy...

  • iBooks is not synchronization of bookmarks and notes on devices

I have an iPad 2 and mini ipad and do the two together to sync and it used to work, but now it doesn't.

    Hello there, irisapple.

Looks like you are having problems with your bookmarks and notes synchronization on multiple iOS devices. The following Knowledge Base article provides a few major steps for troubleshooting of bookmarks:

Get help using bookmarks iCloud and playlist

    Before you start

    • Check the system status page to see if there are known issues related to bookmarks from iCloud, since your device might not be the cause of your problem.
    • Make sure that your settings of date and time on your device are correct.  You can easily correct problems caused by an incorrect date and time settings by entering the right information.
    • Make sure that you don't lose important information in making copies of your bookmarks.
    • If your bookmarks are not in the same order on all of your devices, check to see how many bookmarks is in the folder. If the folder contains more than 500 Favorites, the order of bookmarks may not be the same on all devices.

If you go to a bookmark that you deleted in the last 30 days, you can recover it from iCloud.com. Just click settings and under Advanced Options, click on restore bookmarks.

    iCloud: overview of Notes

    Notes on your devices

When you make changes using Notes on iCloud.com, they automatically appear in the Notes on your iOS devices and Mac computers that are connected to the same iCloud account and vice versa.
