Incorrect timestamps

Hello friends,

I have a problem with timestamps.

I gain 12 temperature signals and store them in a spreadsheet at intervals of 3 sec.

However, before that I spend on recording, I observe if the temperature signals have reached a

quasi stationary value. Therefore, I use a box structure.

If I directly start recording without the first observation of the signals, I acquire data at intervals of 3 seconds exactly.

However, if I first observe and then move to the record then I get unwanted intermediate measures.

Can someone tell me whats wrong with my code?

Thank you and best regards,

Chirag

In my Im application data in files TDMS. When I read the PDM with Ms Excel data, the time is 1 hour before esactly if data is read by another computer.

Time is okay if the data is read by the computer that registered the tdms files.

So I colleague the link suggestion, but in records of Windows I have not found any key TZ.

Does anyone have suggestions for this problem?

    Thank you very much

I tried to use the forum suggestions, but all results were unsuccessful.

In any case I solved the problem and I want to share with other users of Lv.

I noticed that in the computer used for the acquisition and recording of the PDM, the time file has shown is correct but the zone was wrong (I live in + 1, and pc was set to + 0)

The laptop I use for reading the PDM data is correctly set to + 1.

I lined up zones, the problem disappeared.

  • Lightroom CC fixed incorrect timestamp on files MP4 Sony RX10 II

A Sony RX10 II to add to my Kit, mainly for video. Due to the structure using Sony is on the map, 3rd party software is problems importing video files from the camera, because they are not stored in the DCIM folder used by photos. I could get Lightroom CC to see and import videos saying LR to watch the whole map in the import dialog box (by default, it only looks at the DCIM folder), when imported, LR adds four hours at the time of creation of the file, but ONLY for MP4 videos (video AVCHD are stored separately from the MP4, and the creation time is correct for those). So, if I pull a video at 14:00, Lightroom will say that it was shot at 18:00. As I name, file numbers my files with the original followed by capture time, MP4 files end up sorting out of order and could find themselves in bad day if file shot dead after 20:00. I can go in manually and have LR change file creation time metadata and then rename the files to pick up the new time, but it would be nice not to have to pass through these hoops every time.

What's happening: the specification of the metadata of QuickTime/MP4 advertising capture time to save in UTC (GMT).  That's what has made the Sony camera - he recorded a Date of creation of the 2016:05:04 16:31:09 field. Incredibly, the specification provides no standard method of recording the time zone.   So the only time in a standard MP4 which can report the LR is 2016:05:04 16:31:09.

Note that, until recently, a few digital cameras had a notion of time zone, so they ignored the spec and record local time (whatever their clock is set to) in the Date created field.  This is why LR is generally correct for these cameras capture time.

Sony did save the time zone in nonstandard, undocumented, Sony own metadata XML stored in the MP4 file in the sidecar XML, 2016:05:04 12:31:09-04:00, which is at 12:31 pm EDT.   But LR only reads the metadata specific to the manufacturers.   (I could not find any documentation for the schema of metadata of Sony, urn: schemas - professionalDisc:nonRealTimeMeta:ver.2.00.)

A similar problem occurs with iPhone - iPhone records videos an hour UTC in the field create, as requested by the specification, but LR the interpreter as a local time, since there is no matter what time zone available to LR.  See this bug report: Lightroom: iPhone video Capture time is shifted to import | Community customer Photoshop family

  • Droid 4: Incorrect time stamp on received texts

Last week, my D4 was put incorrect timestamps on incoming text messages when using certain applications of text without share capital. All the texts received (regardless of the sender) are stamped 4 hours earlier when they were actually sent. Threaded messaging is a real pain.

Text message app stock is fine, like Handcent. The problem seems to be isolated to GO SMS Pro (my favorite SMS app) and messaging (ICS-like stock) ICS. I uninstalled both and reinstalled without change.

Everyone on this experience there or have any suggestions for me?

    Thank you!

Might I venture a guess that you live in the Eastern time zone? If so, I imagine that some of these third-party applications are to recognize the incoming texts in UTC instead of your local time zone. Some of these third-party applications have a mismatch in the settings menu; If there is no option to report the bug to the author.

  • Oracle logs are wrong timestamp

My DBA is woking on a fresh install of EM12c on Oracle Grid Infrustructure on a stand-alone server using ASM. She has problems with the installation of Oracle Restart. This issue, she works through a SR of Oracle.

    Hello

This question is about the time zone. Oracle uses another time zone should be put somewhere and need to find out where.

Check if profile/current oracle variables, and the root of the user for the Environment Variable 'TZ '.

    Put here the output of:

    $ set |grep TZ

You can also try to reconfigure your date and time zone.

    # system-config-date

Try to set the variable TZ on Oracle your Environment Variables, and then restart HAS with configured TZ variable:

  • Lightroom 6 managing zones MP4 correctly when importing?

Lightroom has / had a long-standing problem to ignore time zone information when you import MP4 files.  The result was that the MP4 file would be the hour GMT after importation.  Does anyone know if this problem has been fixed in LR6?

I think you could run Exiftool on a different file.  I have re-uploaded the file, and both of my downloaded copies indicate a Date create of 2016:05:02 22:13:39, not 2016:05:02 23:06:28.

Nevertheless, it is clear what is happening.  The Nexus has followed the standard QuickTime/MP4 strictly and recorded time UTC create Date (UTC is 8 hours ahead of PST, 7 hours in front of PDT).  But the link used hour local (15:13:39) the file name when it was recorded.

LR used the Date field to create for its capture time (22:13:39 2016:05:02).  Unfortunately, because the standard QuickTime/MP4 does not have any place for cameras record the time zone, and because many cameras record local time rather than UTC Date to create, there is no practical way for LR to use fields of metadata standard of whether the field is in local time or UTC.   Blame Apple for this mess.

See this post for someone else who has just had the same problem: Lightroom CC sets incorrect timestamp on files MP4 Sony RX10 II

You can add your vote and your question (model of camera, video format) details about this in the Adobe official feedback forum: Lightroom: iPhone video Capture time is shifted to import | Community customer Photoshop family. This would help to inform Adobe that many of its users are familiar with this problem.

I don't think that there is nothing practical that Adobe can do about it now, but it can pressure manufacturers to implement the XMP standard for video, which would allow the dates and times to record with the time zones (among others).  Adobe has defined the XMP standard years ago, and it's been widely adopted for still images.

The shows to explain that it performs a table full scan on crm_t. I created indexes on the column
timestamp and tradetype too. collected stats too. but still, it makes a full table scan.

    Please guide

    Thank you

    Obviously.

The column is named incorrectly--> timestamp is a reserved word.
It's also the wrong type--> dates should not be stored as varchar2.

    Also () =
    where is indexed
    always removes the index.

The design of this table is a complete mess.
    Drop and redesign.

You can yourself to hack and put an index of feature based on the expression, but the table will still be a disaster.
I hope that this code does not belong to a commercial application.

  • Incorrect writing to the file timestamps

    Hi all

I wanted to familiarize yourself with writing data and associated timestamps in a file to verify the rate at which samples are played back in my system. As a little test I wrote a simple VI that travels 5 times and creates 5 sine sampling points. Each point has its timestamp captured and converted to seconds and fractions of a second. After the for finishes in loop iteration it writes the data of sample (line by line) for every 5 samples with their associated timestamps.

I imposed a 1ms delay for each iteration and hoped to see the consistency between the timestamps of the consecutive samples but sometimes they are very or even identical to the previous timestamp which doesn't make any sense for me. I tried with wait times and it seems to be more precise between samples, but this result is intriguing.

    Example:

    31.209159 0

    31.209159 84

    31.209159 91

    31.224784 14

    31.224784 -76

I chose not to use custom file VI writing because I had the same problems and thought that it could have better results.

Hoping someone can clarify it or show me where I'm wrong. I have attached the VI below.

    Thank you.

If you are using a hardware device timed, as NO hardware DAQ, you then get accurate timestamps. Everything else is a limitation of the Windows operating system. You can always switch to LabVIEW RT if you need more specific expectations.

  • Cannot search timestamp with chnfind channel

We are trying to create a script that will cut our datasets in days. For the moment we build a function that uses ChnFind to locate the position of the first entry, whose date is superior at midnight of each day and which allows to divide the dates. However, we cannot have the chnfind function works.

Initially, we tried the research of the date as a timestamp, but the chnfind seemed unable to treat - he kept saying he was expecting one), but nothing seemed to miss.

    Ch("0R1R1W0FResults/hitsTimestamp") > 00:00:00.0000 18/03/2016

Is the result which is enters the function (after that double quotes are discussed), but it is throwing an error.

We then tried to convert using TTR for comparison, but that threw a type mismatch.

Finally, we tried to use instr to find the first value that contains the correct date, but which also lifted a type mismatch.

Is it possible to run these comparisons on a channel of timestamp? If so, how?

It turns out that we have access to our table incorrectly, if the system is working very well now.

  • List of files in the order: 0,1, 2..., 10, 11..., 99, 100, etc... without timestamp

    Hello

    I keep running into a problem whenever I need a list of the files in order. Instead of 0,1,2,... 10,11, 12... 100, 101... Get list the files in the following order "alphabetical": 0,1,10,100,101... 11 110,..., 12, 120, 121,..., 2, 20, 200...

I understand that a simple solution would be to list the files by date and I did in the past, but this solution is not available for me this time.

The time stamp on the files is very sensitive: sometimes I need to manually mess with some of the files after them, thus reseting create the timestamp on them. Another problem happens when I create files too quickly, they end up sharing the same timestamp again in alphabetical order incorrectly. A solution to this is to create files with an artificial delay of a second between the creations. It is very time consuming and not feasible in real-time applications.

Sorry to be verbose. I wonder if it is a simple way to list the files in a folder sequentially by just using their file name (ending on a #)?

Thank you jcarmody. It's a lot easier that I thought it would be. I have attached the solution

  • timestamp does not match data

Hi, I am reading in 3 pieces of data every 10 seconds and the Save using writing to the service file with a timestamp wired on the comments of the service PIN. However, it seems to be that the first timestamp value is incorrect, and each element of data later is mislabeled.  If you look at my attachment, the first 3 time in seconds (x_value), the points are 0,.007 et.113007 and the associated timestamp is 01:44:24, 01:44:33 and 01:44:33. Now, the time of the next 3 items in are10.00057 seconds, 10.00257 and 10.07058 and timestamps are 01:44:33, 01:44:43 and 01:44:43.  The timestamp of the first of the second 3 points (1: 44:33) should have been with the first 3. The time in seconds seems correct, but how can I make sure that the time stamp is stamped to the point of correct data?

I think you could get you burn while waiting for the bluetooth connection.  Since date playback time is independent of the bluetooth read, it runs as soon as the loop begins.  If bluetooth read takes ten seconds to run (for example), then the time well before the read finishes Bluetooth data.

Try putting a flat structure sequence around the get time and write part of measure of your code files so that the single wire entering that structure the tension.  See if that solves your problem of synchronization.

You can always create your own vi get time with terminals of the error in order to use the wire of the error to apply data streams.  This would be a solution of cleaning long term use of sequence structure flat.

  • Analysis of chain to get the Timestamp, LV 2012 problem

I have a VI I wrote in 2013 LV where it works very well.  But with the same VI in LV 2012SP1, analysis of string to get a Timestamp does not work.  Attached is the VI recorded in LV2012 SP1.

    Background:

I work with an FPGA where I am synchronizing pulses using the clock of 40 MHz.  I connect these impulses in a file on my host PXI. To correlate the clock on the FPGA with a log file and real life someday, I named the file with a timestamp, and the meter 64-bit encoded hexadecimal string.  Now, I have a pretty good correlation between when the 64-bit against him and the time of day to facilitate the search of the data file.

Now, I try to analyse the file name, so in my analysis of code I can reassociate the value 64 bits with the time of day using the string functions to separate the file name.  With a few regexes (which I've never used in real life before), I've broken down the chain and got the base time as a timestamp, and the counter value as a 64-bit integer.  The VI works very well in 2013 LV.

But when I saved it to the LV 2012, analysis of string to get the timestamp fails.  No error, but the timestamp shows 19:00 12/31/1599 (I am GMT - 5).  I have no idea why.  A bug in the parsing of the string that was set in 2013 LV?

Please run the attached VI in LV 2012.  Confirm if it fails for you.  Then open it in 2013 LV and see if it works for you.

I am trying to make it work in LV 2012 because this project is locked in this version of LV for now.  I can probably do something to reorganize the time string to get something that will scan a digital time stamp if I have to.

    Hi Bill,

Sorry to be a bit late on this point, I just came across this thread after the hunt for the CAR for a separate issue. The fix for 300375 CAR is what causes the difference in behavior between versions of LabVIEW. It appears on the list of known issues of LabVIEW 2013, although the description focuses more on the fixed number than other possible differences between the versions.

The thoughts in this thread died on what happened in the difficulty. LabVIEW 2013 now pick up the string of year 2 or 4-digit number when you use the %y or %Y tags, respectively. Previously, the behavior was more forgiving in the year format, leading to incorrect behavior that you have observed strings of 4 digits in the year the %y tag. The original problem, you pointed out (2012 incorrectly string manipulation of tagged %y (2 digits) 2-digit year is precisely what has been fixed in the CAR.

Regarding your strange result over the years with the tag %Y-2 digit, this is a limitation of the type of data Time Stamp itself. The year will always be converted to between 1600 and 3000. So no time extreme travel journaling. Yet.

    See you soon,.
