Increase the persistent disk space

Is it possible to increase the disk space to Link Clone dedicated without blow away the view desktop?  I've increased disk space persisted in the Admin of the view and all new desktop computers have increased space.

I don't want to remove all workstations for the increase.

Thank you.

If they are updating on a redial you could always develop in the same way make you record of vSphere.  Simply increasing the disk through vCenter, then use diskpart or else to decompress.

  • After installing K2502898 on xp media center, the computer won't save increased demand for disk space with 100 GB of backup hard disk - what to do?

My xp media center has worked very well for years, but since installing K2502898 on March 9, 2011, although there is spare 50 GB on drive C and spare 50 GB on drive D, record space fell to less than 30 minutes, and although I can increase the amount of space available to save , on the two disks and click 'Save', it is not 'save' even on reset, and I can't work out what to do. I tried to re-creation of the installation of Media Center, but when the wizard reaches the last window to close and save I get 'critical error' and it hangs. It was fine on March 8, 2011 before the automatic updates have been installed.

  • Any way to increase the amount of space on the local drive C:?

Hey guys - here's my question - I got new Mac just now with VMware Fusion preinstalled and had not paid much attention to the amount of free space on drive c until today when I finally got the time to actually need to install a few Windows programs and ran into a problem - it pops up a window telling me that it was out of disk space on the C drive. At first I thought that ' no way - has nothing here but Vista and Office ' but of course I got after verifying the capacity of 20 GB and 1 GB of free space.

My main HD on my Mac is a 300 Gig with barely 50 gigs used total - disc so I have plenty of space to use, I'm not sure why this has been set up this way to begin with. Is it all the same to expand this or is this set to the score that the guy who sold me the mac put in place (I'm basically screwed and all files on my Mac and everything what will be lost if I want to enlarge the c: one size usable?)

Hello Bbible. Please see the next thread for all your replies on increase/reduction of the size of your HARD drive. What for his evidence, you can do either without losing your data.

  • Question on the available disk space on the Satellite Z930

I'm new on this Yes, you can not shoot me down if this is a stupid question. I just bought a new ultrabook Z930. Storage space announced was 125 GB (drive C is only show 100 GB available). Only, I installed MS Office Standard 2007, Norton anti virus and printer drivers.

However, I now only 65GB of disk space, and I do not think that these applications take 35 GB. I removed the shadow at all.
Can someone give me some advice please?

Unfortunately we can not see info exact drive HARD, but maybe you saw something wrong.
Check please Disk management in the computer management options and you can see all the information base on the HARD disk and each partition of HARD drive.

I can imagine that this 35 GB is total data backed up on some partition that contains the operating system and all the stuff pre-installed.

  • removed the damaged but greatly reduced operating system the remaining disk space

My xp computer has constantly repeated before installation.  I added a new operating system and removed the damaged one, but my disk space is now lower than it was 17 GB. It seems that removed OS has not deleted from memory to disk.

How can I find to remove it?

When you add / install the new OS, you format the drive hard until you install?

  • How expand you a healthy (C:\) partition in the unallocated disk space - used to be partitioned as D:\?

At some point in the past, someone partitioned my hard drive in C:\ = 15 GB and D:\ = 95 GB.  It is the source of the problems. I can't afford to pay someone to fix it as I became unemployed.  SO after some research, I gutted and then deleted the partition D:\. Then I went to "diskpart" in command prompt and typed "extend", thinking that would extend the C drive in the now unallocated space that used to be the partition D:\. Got mssg "part of disk cannot extend the volume. Please make sure the volume is valid for the extension. "How do I do that?  Thank you.

As you discovered, you can't extend the system (C) partition using tools provided with Windows.  You need a third-party disk partitioning application.

This one is free: http://www.partition-tool.com/personal.htm and this one is $9.95: http://www.paragon-software.com/home/pm-personal/

  • How can I correct the wasted disk space?

I have a pavilion dv7 notebook with a 443g system.  I am to 9 g and do not know how to recover disk space.  I've done a disk cleanup and defragmentation of disks.  Nothing seems to work, does anyone know how to fix this?  Thank you.

Do a disk cleanup, this time, when cleaning window opens after scanning, click on the button "clean up system files", he'll re-scan, when the window opens again go to 'more options' tab, then click on cleaning in the section ' System Restore and shadow copies ", it will take time for that clean without any indication when it's done I usually watch the light of the drive to know. then click Cancel on all windows after about a minute.

As you can see in the image below, I posted 600Gigs for my guest OS (CentOS).

  • I can co on the "low disk space" on RECOVERY (d :)) disc warning?)

Using the disk management program I dropped my C drive and I now have a new, unnamed, empty, no file system (I think), 55 GB drive, volume, disk, partition in more C drive, (which has still approx. 220 GB of free,) the complete RECOVERY D drive/disk/partition/volume 10 GB and a connected by USB-free 430 of GB external hard drive.

    Hello

You have lost your time shrinks for difficulty D: C:

    Read this:

Your recovery Partition was photographed on your hard drive during the production of your computer by the manufacturer for all of these reasons.

    1. to reinstall Vista from in the case of a failure of the system, based on individuals or the keys at startup.

F10 or Alt + F10 or F11 are a couple of different manufacturers use sequences.

You will need to ask your manufacturer for proper sequence.

    2. to make the recovery disks on if your drive hard breaks down, so that you can then reinstall the operating system on a new hard drive.

Also ask them how to make records.

Your D: Recovery Drive is should not be used for backups, defragmented, etc..

There are backups on an external hard drive.

To resolve the problems that have arisen with the recovery D: Partition, you will need to contact the manufacturer of your computer to remove all that has been added to it.

    See you soon.

  • exclude alerts for DVD players on the rules available to the logical disk space

    Hello

I created a new rule to monitor space available in megabytes using the topology of logical disk for my windows Hosts. The rule is also trigger alerts for CD/DVD players. I need exclusion has go them of monitoring/alert. Please guide if you have an idea of how it can be ruled out starting / ignored.

Query scope I use: LogicalDisk: host.agents.type {'Active Directory', 'ExchangeAgent', 'WindowsAgent'} with the spaceAvailable property. Alert reader DVD are ignored if I use the property capacityavailable of logical disk. But it shows the free space available in % I need.

Return to Administration-> tooling-> Console of Script and paste the following text in the search box:

    Logical disk: (host.agents.type {'Active Directory', 'ExchangeAgent', 'WindowsAgent'}) and (detail.writable! = false)

"Do the motion" SELECT and let us know if this succeeds.

  • Burning files & the remaining disk space

When burning files in Win7, how can we know how much space is left on the disk?
Sometimes, I would like to add additional files and don't know if they will fit in the space of all left.
Don't want to go through the whole process comes to discover that it does not burn the extra info.

Insert the CD. DVD and right click on the CD/DVD drive letter and select "Properties".
If previous data was written as "Muti-Session" the space free rest is listed. However, if the session has been "closed" so no additional information cannot be stored or burned on the CD/DVD and displays the free space a "zero" or "None".
