• Why is InDesign CS5 changes associated with each Save PSDs?

  I use Creative Suite CS5 Mac OS 10.6.6. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and how is it fixed?

  Whenever I save an InDesign document with a linked PSD, date of modification of the PSD as well exchange file, which in turn appears in InDesign as a link that must be updated. After I update the link in InDesign and record, date of editing this file psd Exchange again, and it shows up again as a link which has updated. • Superposition of the white transparent objects in InDesign

  I would like to know how to avoid white transparent objects showing an overlap in InDesign. See example image. I can avoid it when using any color other than white, using a tint of color, instead of transparency. White, I can't spec one dyed, I suspect because InDesign doesn't white (paper) as a color. Tried grouping of modes, piercing, fusion group, isolate mixture-nothing. I use CMYK to print.

  You can do if group you the line and the circle, set opacity to the group to a percentage and leave the opacity of objects within the Group at 100%:

  Anyone know if it is possible to change the default grid increment in preferences using InDesign CS5? I would like the default to be 4pt rather than 12pt everytime I open a new document.

  InDesign cs5 crashes whenever I try to change the formatting mark by going to the Type > Document reference Option > and then I try to choose a paragraph style, I already put in place. I need to use the paragraph style includes columns of Span, which I think may be the issue. I think this because when I then tried to create a new document and re - import styles, it won't let me even the columns of the span feature is added the paragraph in question Style.

  I have a problem with a script InDesign that works this way in ID CS4 and CS5 ID, but stops working in ID CS5.5.

  What the script must do, is to change the preferences to import to a table saved in an Excel file so that I can place a table not formatted in a new textFrame in my InDesign document. The Excel document is a .xlsx file.

  What the script (or at least seems to do) is: nothing. The table that is placed in the textFrame by the script is always formatted, as seems to be the standard InDesign CS5.5 preference to import tables from excel files.

  Does anyone have a hint for me how to make the script work in ID CS5.5?

  As it works on my machine (!), a reason may be that just the spelling should be: TableFormattingOptions.EXCEL_UNFORMATTED_TABLE

  Is anyone aware of a black halo around objects of transparent feathers. The halo occurs when the area full of pic feathers to transparency.

  NOTE: The Image looks fine in Photoshop (CS6), but when it is placed as a TIFF RGB in Indesign (CS5) a black halo appears on the page. See Visual explanation below.

  

  This only happens when the image is a RGB Tiff and the layer mask is used to create transparency. If the image is saved as .psd, then it's fine. Also when tiff RGB is converted to CMYK, then it is ok.

  Ideally I might just start using the psd format, but I have to manage a lot of images that are already in tiff RGB and it's tedious to have to open and re-save all these.

  InDesign CS5: I have a document with page 20 indesign file that is part of a book about InDesign document/chapter 23. Hidden codes are light blue through chapters 1 and 2. Then, in the middle of Chapter 3, at the bottom of page 10, hidden codes became Red until the end of this chapter. The next chapter contains the solid blue hidden codes. What is the Red mean and what I need to do to correct this. Thank you.

• How do I change view percentage in InDesign CS5?

  This seems like a stupid question but I have recently updated from CS3 to CS5 and can not find where you can type in how much you want to see the page to. It used to be in the lower left corner (and is still in Photoshop CS5 and Illustrator CS5), but I can't find it in InDesign CS5. I don't want to use the preset zoom percentages, I want to be able to type in a number like 90% or 55%, etc. I have search on several sites and gone through each menu option but can't seem to find it.   Look up at the center of the application window. Unless you spend on it, it is grey like the rest of the toolbar. But it is there.

  Has anyone tried to see if InDesign CS5 will work with MacOS Sierra? I have creative cloud and CS5 on my machine, but due to some of the things that I have to work that only work with CS5 to CS6 I have to keep my old software. I hesitate to upgrade to Sierra until I know if InDesign CS5 will work or not.

  It really depends what you do with it, and a large part of the framework has changes in the operating system for how the application is designed to run in. Your workflow can cause problems when the application works for others or you might be able to use it, but keep in mind has more no support for CS5 Adobe or Apple, so do not expect to solve any problems that you can discover.

• Export PDF printing from InDesign CS5

  Until last week, when exporting an InDesign CS5 document in PDF format, it was a choice of Print or Interactive. Now, there is no other choice and it assumes that the PDF is Interactive and gives to think I have change the color mode to my RGB document, which I won't do. Help!

  If you have a valid serial number for InDesign CS5.5, you can install it, please make sure that you check the minimum system requirements for CS5.5: system requirements for Adobe InDesign for Mac OS and Windows, as it is an earlier application and has not been tested on the latest hardware.
