Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.
This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:
This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:
-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.
Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.
Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)
Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
each installation.
Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
necessary.
Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
manually by model.
Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows

older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

Hello, @ghlowell,
Thank you for the update. You can get the serial number of the printer using the HP utility on your computer. You must have the printer software installed to get the same thing.
Try the following steps to get the serial number.
- Go to 'Finder' - select 'Applications' - folder Select "HP" or "Hewlett Packard".
- Now find and open the "HP utility.
- Click on "device information. Ideally, this should give details of the printer including the serial number.

System Restore does not work, once again.
Hi, I read a topic of 2010 that has not yet been answered. I worked with a tech at Microsoft by e-mail, but when I answered: System Restore didn't work. Now it does not work yet. I had installed Returnil system safe, but I got an error msg 0 x 80004005, (third-party antivirus), so I uninstalled the program. I went through the registry and delete something with Returnil all 4 sections of the registry. Remove the common files folder that was left after uninstalling. Restarted my computer several times. I use MSE, with free versions of spywareblaster and MBAB, who are both at the request not in real time. I tried to restore to a time before I had installed Returnil first, (I installed and uninstalled 3 times in 2 days) and could not. I tried to use a snapshot to restore spywareblaster and managed to restore to the point 2 x before installing because forward the installation of point returnil has been altered. At the moment no malware has been detected and no threat of MSE. What to do next?
Thanks in advance for any help. Liz.
Here's my usual route to find out how to reinstall System Restore:
If you have already run MBAM and SAS, temporarily disabled your antivirus and anti-malware applications and tried your Safe Mode system restore and you still get the restoration of the system to work, you must reinstall just your system restore. You do not have to reinstall XP - just reinstall the system restore part.
System Restore is a frequent target of attacks by malicious software.
When you reinstall the system restore, all your current Restore Points will be deleted and you must restart your computer once the installation is complete. After the reboot, a new Restore Point will be created as a new point of system control in your calendar of SR.
If your system had a malware infection, it could be that some of the files in your old Restore Points are also infected up to wipe out the 'old' and new is often a good idea if you wonder if the old Restore Points are infected or not.
Assuming that your XP is installed on drive C of your computer:
As you go through the reinstallation of the RS, the resettlement will be asked to locate certain files as you go along and ask your XP installation CD. If you do not have a genuine XP bootable installation CD, you can change the path where Setup looks for files one at a time, because they are needed. More on that later.
Navigate to the following folder:
c:\Windows\Inf
Locate and right-click the following file:
SR.inf
Choose Install
If you can not see the sr.inf file, set up your system to show hidden files and show file extensions.
Click on tools, Options, view and turn on "Show the hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types", then you should be able to see the file c:\windows\inf\sr.inf.
Installation can request files from the c:\windows\inf\386 folder. It would be your installation CD bootable XP genuine if you have one and the Service Pack installed on your system must be the same as the CD that you will use.
You don't need absolutely a CD to do the reinstall, because files must already be on your system somewhere if SR was working before.
If you are prompted for a file, and you can't find it where I suggest in my example below (it works on my system), you need to search your hard drive and find where the files on your system.
If the request to a file and you don't know where he is, let waiting for installation and click Start, search, and search for it
has requested the file and find it on your system. If SR has already worked before, the file is already on your system somewhere.Search finds the requested file, go back to the installation and specify the path where you found the file requested and click OK. Installation can request several files along the way, but you can find them all.
Here's how my system works when I reinstall SR when I pretend that I don't have a genuine XP bootable installation CD:
When you are asked:
SR.sys
Point the install in c:\windows\system32\drivers
When you are asked:
c:\windows\system32\srclient.dll
Point install it in c:\windows\system32
When you are asked:
Filelist. XML
Point of installation at c:\windows\system32\restore (or c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386)
When you are asked:
srframe. MMF
Point installation c:\windows\system32\dllcache (c:\windows\system32\restore)
Once installation is complete, you will receive a message that you must restart your computer.
Restart your computer and look at your schedule of SR. You should have a new point system control in your calendar.
When you get SR working again, I ran MBAM and SAS to make sure that your system is reasonably clean of malware.
The day that you think you need to help the system restore you is not the day to discover the system restore does not work, then you need to test.
After the reinstallation, manually create a Restore Point and test the restoration process and make sure that you are convinced that it works from one end to the other.

professional XP System Restore does not
My system restore doesn't work on my xp professional and I think that there are errors in registry. Can anyone help please?
What does "does not?
Why do you think there are errors in the registry?
What is your system brand and model?
What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?
Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE), McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, Comodo, PC Tools, etc.
What is the issue that you are experiencing that you think that the system restore will be remedied (or you are just convenient)? Remember that the system restore is not a time machine.
Have you ever used the system restore to restore your system in the past?
Describe exactly what happens when you try to perform a system restore and the error messages you see which indicates that it does not work (some thing besides 'it does not work").
Some tools Anti Virus 'protect' your system so that they will not allow a restore of the system work properly.
For example, if you use Norton/Symantec products, you will see a message like this:
Restoration incomplete. Your computer cannot be restored...
It is also a popular Symantec problem (well, I'll be polite and call an "undocumented feature"...), they wrote an article about it:
https://support.Norton.com/SP/en/us/home/current/solutions/v51118464_EndUserProfile_en_us?product=home&version=1According to what you use for malware protection, you may need to disable the product temporarily, do the system restore and then turn the products light up again when the system restore is complete.
Sometimes you need start your system in Mode safe and so that your protection programs are not running, and then do the system restore. Tips from Microsoft in some of their articles that if the system restore does not restore your computer, start in Safe Mode, and then run the system restore. It works for some configurations.
Note that if you do a Safe Mode system restore, you will not be able to cancel it and there is no option on the System Restore screen for "Undo my last restoration" as you would if you were to restore your system from a normal startup.
Give these ideas some consideration if they apply to you.
Sometimes malicious will afflict your system restore to prevent you to find and remove malware. It would much rather you trick into thinking that you need to repair or reinstall your XP when it is not necessary.
No matter what you use for protection against malware, I do so and then only begin to solve any problems:
Download, install, update, and make at least a full scan with these free malware detection programs can solve any problems:
Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free
SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/It can be uninstalled later if you wish.
The scans by operating clean, reboot, test and we can fix any other issues.
System Restore is sometimes so afflicted or Restore Points are suspicious, the best solution is to reinstall your system restore. This will remove the old Restore Points, but sometimes it's the only way to fix a broken system restore. You don't have to reinstall XP, only the part of system restore.
That can leave you with your problem of unspecified origin that you hope the system restore will fix (using a system restore is usually not equivalent to fixing the problem though).

I am using windows xp pro sp2
When you try to print the document his service hence giving error does not
then I start the services.msc print spooler service, but this only works for printing after that it gave the same error
Please help me
Hi kalpesh_vaghela,
- Did you the latest changes on the computer?
- What is the full error message that you receive?
- What is the number and model of the printer?
- You use any program to print the document?
- Are you experiencing a similar problem with any program that allows you to print?
- You have security software installed on the computer?
Method 1
See the link below and try the fixit tool available, check if it helps.
Problems printing and printing errors
http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/printing_problems/
Method 2
If the previous step fails, then it is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.
I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
See section to learn more about how to clean boot.
How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

Reset the computer to start as usual
When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
- Click Start , and then click run.
- Type msconfig , and then click OK.
The System Configuration utility dialog box appears. - Click the general tab, click Normal Startup - load all device drivers and services , and then click OK.
When you are prompted, click restart to restart the computer.
