Insert a space character between each character in a string

I have an array of length variant.  Each element of the array contains a string.  I want to put a space character "" between each character of each string in the array.  The length of the string in each element of the array varies.

I played with nested for loops with registers to lag and feedback without success and began to think that I do it's too difficult.

Thank you

Mike

(Lucither: your code will make any element of the array to an empty string.) It does not insert space between characters as needed.)

There are nice solutions already posted above, here's another at random.

  • Insert a space character between any two characters in a string

    Hello

    I'm trying to put a space between each two characters in an input string.  I only got the VI to work after the first 2 characters.  Can you help me get the space after both 2 characters?

    Thank you

    hiNi

    I was thinking more like this

  • Insert a space in a string

    I need to insert a space after every eight characters in a string.
    For example:

    < cfset mytoken = "ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZABCD" >

    < cfoutput >
    < cfset replaceChar = "" >
    < cfset mytoken = Insert (replaceChar, mytoken, 8) >
    < cfset mytoken = Insert (replaceChar, mytoken, 17) >
    < cfset mytoken = Insert (replaceChar, mytoken, 26) >
    < cfset mytoken = Insert (replaceChar, mytoken, 35) >
    < cfset mytoken = Insert (replaceChar, mytoken, 44) >
    < cfset mytoken = Insert (replaceChar, mytoken, 53) >
    < cfset mytoken = Insert (replaceChar, mytoken, 62) >
    MyToken: #mytoken # < br / >

    The above gives me results as
    MyToken:ABCDEFGH QRSTUVWX YZABCDEF GHIJKLMN OPQRSTUV WXYZABCD IJKLMNOP

    Can I get the same result by using a regular expression and reduce code?

    Not quite, but almost. This:

    reReplaceNoCase (mytoken, "([a-z][0-9]{1,8})", "\1", "all")

    Means "a letter, followed by one to eight digits. You need:

    reReplaceNoCase (mytoken, "([a-z |)") (0-9]_{1,8}) ', '\1', 'all')

    That means one-to-eight letters or numbers. As Adam pointed out earlier, you can further simplify:

    reReplaceNoCase (mytoken, "([a-z |)") (0-9]_{8}) ', '\1', 'all')

  • Change the width of the [space] character between the words to a police

    Hello

    I used a font called 1790 Royal printing for the client's work:

    https://www.MyFonts.com/fonts/GLC/1790-Royal-printing/buy.html

    .. the police are perfectly kerned character, but the width of the space character (as you can see from the images above) is far too broad. At the moment I am setting width of a [space] which is laborious to say the least, so for example, if the type is set to 30pt, I select a space and change the size to 16pt, copy and then paste to change each space between words to 16pt.

    .. is there a way to set the width of only the character of spacing, or any other solution saving time/work?

    Thank you very much

    In the paragraph Panel, flyout > Justification > wee. Here, you can define a minimum and maximum desired spacing.

  • newbie question. How to insert equal spaces between clips?

    Hi forum,

    I've not used After Effects for about 10 years and now I'm back with baby steps so be patient and gentle if I don't get quickly.

    I created a simple composition with a bunch of clips one after the other. They're all on different layers which I think is how it is supposed to be. I want to put a space of equal time between each clip and I want to make a transition between images and adjacent clips on this space.

    I've spaced the clips by dragging and gaps between them trying to be equal to the eye, but would like to know if there is a distribution function that makes it easier and better.

    You can adjust the overlap with layers in the sequence to a negative number or a positive number. I keep my calendar set to executives. Just follow this movie and you'll see how your layers in sequence. BTW, length of layer is not serious, but they must be arranged so that they start to the first frame of the timeline for the overlap be precise.

  • Space character according to some user variables in the process of disappearance

    Hello

    I just started using FrameMaker 10 (Version: 10.0.1.408) for updating a set of structured documents that were originally created using FM 7.2. These documents contain a large number of user variables.  However, in FM 10 sometimes if there is a space character following the variable it is removed when you save a reopen the file. If a non-breaking space is there but it isn't always a suitable solution.

    All variables were created without any character formats and containing only plain text.

    Is this a known problem or am I missing something very obvious?

    Best regards

    Nick

    Nick,

    Any chance that these files are open XML format? If so, maybe take a look at this thread, which is a new 'feature' in FM10 which can be disabled white space normalization:

  • change the time between each photo in movie maker vista

    I am doing a slideshow using vista movie maker. I added music and it is great. BUT I can't change the length of time between each picture and the duration of transitions. I tried tools / options / and I can change out there, but it does not apply to my project. I also tried to do it manually but still no luck.

    Any help would be most appreciated.

    Maybe the following will help:

    The change of setting to: Tools / Options /.
    Advanced... tab applies only to the added photos
    to the timeline * after * you change the setting.

    If you switch to view "Storyboard" and select
    all the pictures in the form of batches (select one and the type...
    CTRL + A)... you can add the 'Speed Up, Double.
    or "Slow down, half" effect of changing the
    duration. Simply select all clips / right click
    the effect on the menu... Choose...
    Add to storyboard table.

    'Speed Up, Double' cuts the duration of half.

    "Slow Down, half ' double life.

    These effects can be added up to six times.

    If you need finer adjustment...
    the info may be useful:

    To the timeline, you can change the
    the duration for each picture manually. Drag the
    Garnish handle left or right to increase or
    reduce the duration. You can see a
    Tip displaying the change.

    Or... just to redo the project after changing
    the long-term: Tools / Options / Advanced
    tab.

    With respect to Transitions, see the following article:

    Windows Movie Maker Vista - add transitions and effects to pictures and
    video in Windows Movie Maker
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/add-transitions-and-effects-to-pictures-and-video-in-Windows-Movie-Maker

    In some cases, you can add a transition
    to every other picture... What follows... explains why:

    This happens when the Transition is
    the same or greater than the length of the photo.
    This setting must be entered before add
    clips on the timeline.

    Tools / Options / Advanced tab.

    To add effects or Transitions to all clips
    at the same time... Follow the following steps:

    Go to the table of Storyboard view.

    Select all images. (click left one)
    and type... CTRL + A).

    With all the images selected... go...
    Transitions video and do a right click the
    You want to add, and then click on...
    Add to storyboard or type table... CTRL + D.

    It also works with the effects.

    Effects...

    The duration of the effects is not adjustable. As a work around
    to extend a fade in from black, you can insert a black solid
    .jpg that you can create in most image editing software.

    (FWIW... the intensity of certain effects can be increased
    If you right click on the picture and choose... Video effects...
    You can add up to 6 cases of effect)

    In Windows Paint (for example)... Open the photo / right click
    the black square in the color box and type... CTRL + SHIFT + N.
    (if you do not see color box... type... CTRL + L)

    (1) to save a photo...
    (2) go to... File / save as...
    (3) select a backup location...
    (4) enter a new name (which guarantees that your original picture is
    not overwritten),
    (5) choose a format...
    (6) left click... Record.

  • How to check an ascii value of the character in the string

    Hi all
    I have a string that contain alphanumeric values.
    I want only numeric values in this string.
    FRO this purpose.
    I created a varry
    TYPE tab IS VARRAY(10) OF VARCHAR2(10) ;
       var tab
    ;
    variable var of type varray contain this string

    and now I want to check each character in this string at end of validation

    How can I check this particular string

    can I use loop?

    Hello

    If str is a string, then

    REGEXP_LIKE ( str
                , '^[[:digit:]]+$'
                )

    Returns TRUE if and only if str contains digits (0 ith 9) and nothing else.
    Here's a way you can use REGEXP_LIKE in PL/SQL:

    SET     SERVEROUTPUT     ON

    DECLARE
        str          VARCHAR2 (10)     := '123.4';
    BEGIN
        IF  REGEXP_LIKE ( str
                      , '^[[:digit:]]+$'
                  )
        THEN
         dbms_output.put_line (  str
                        || ' is all digits.'
                        );
        ELSE
         dbms_output.put_line (  str
                        || ' contains something besides digits, or is NULL'
                        );
        END IF;
    END;

  • How to manage an invisible character in a string?

    Hello
    I have an interesting situation-

    Select bac_person_id, (bac_person_id) length of bkmap_personid_stg, where BAC_PERSON_ID like '% 27136317% '.

    The result is-

    BAC_PERSON_ID | LENGTH (BAC_PERSON_ID)
    27136317 |     9

    I don't know what the invisible character here?

    It is certainly not a space character as pad does not work-

    Select * from bkmap_personid_stg where trim (BAC_PERSON_ID) = '27136317'

    no record!

    But substr does not give me the resullt-

    Select * from bkmap_personid_stg where substr (BAC_PERSON_ID, 1, 8) = '27136317'

    How will I know which is the last character? and how to manage it?

    to get the details of your data use dump()
    as

    Select double dump('27136317');

    DUMP('27136317')
    -------------------------------------
    Typ = 96 Len = 8: 50,55,49,51,54,51,49,55

    in your case
    use

    Select dump (bac_person_id) in the bkmap_personid_stg where BAC_PERSON_ID like '% 27136317% '.

    Jean-Marc

    You feel the joy of the knots of property, whenever you access one, LV feels the urge to update the control it references.  You can speed things up greatly (factor 4 on my machine) by postponed Panel updates on the VI during the Subvi execution.  I probably shape another factor of two with the code, but this simple correction goes a long way.
