Insert hard drive in Ultrabay 2000 2nd drive HARD adapter

I tried in vain to insert a hard drive in Ultrabay 2000 drive adapter. The hard drive is a MHV2060AH of Fujitsu (new) 60 GB hard drive (Enhanced IDE (ATA-6)). The Ultrabay 2000 drive adapter is reference number of IBM 08K 6068. The adapter fits into my Thinkpad A21m and my Thinkpad Docks. Try as I might, I just can't get the hard drive far enough into the connector to be able to close the plastic latch at the end. In fact, I accidentally broke a small thin strip of plastic on the latch, trying to close with the hard drive in place. I know it's supposed to tight once it is seated, but is it supposed to be so hard to insert? She isn't very good at pushing it in your fingers, or is there another problem with the help of this hard drive? Is that what I should buy another brand of hard drive or another model? I would be grateful for advice. Thank you.

Riders would usually be on the four pins are grouped together - on the left side if I remember - and they are no tiny circles more rubber in most cases. You should be able to remove them if you are careful not to bend the pins.

Hard drive model you do reference has been out of production at least 2 or 3 years. You might have bought one of OUR (New Old Stock), though.

Good luck.

    saschabeltz, welcome to the forum,

as the States of cassio , you can boot from a hard drive in the Bay adapter. The best way to do it, after you install in the main Bay is to press F12 at startup; This will allow you to choose the device you want to boot from.

I intend to buy the secondary Bay adapter for my Lenovo Thinkpad T530.

What would be the most important I should consider before ordering the adapter and HARD drive?

The Ultrabay adapter comes in two 12.7 mm and 9.5 mm thickness. Your T530 uses the 12.7 mm. You can save money by buying an adapter clone on eBay.

Here is a video of a manufacturer of clone cards which shows how to install the HARD drive on the adaoter and the adapter in and out the ThinkPad:

When you feed on my PC I get a black screen with the "Boot disk error msg; "Medallion system disk & press enter" what does that mean? I don't have the original CD or a recovery disk, what can we do?

    Hello

This means that your hard disk contains an error, or the start-up phase damaged operating system. If you have any bootable media, you must visit certain computer services near you.

Maybe just an idea - you have a floppy drive? Maybe you have inserted the floppy in the floppy drive. If the answer is Yes - Remove the floppy disk and restart your computer.

NO, I don't want the caddy, I mean the slip which connects the SATA plugs weird connections inside the bays 1 and 2.

In addition, why in the world did you choose to use these connections owners, have you tried to set a new standard or something? Now, my co worker must wait for God knows how long it will take to get his laptop in working condition.  I'm so happy that I chose Custom build my personal computers.

  • T410 - using the Hard Drive Bay adapter III series

I have looked in getting more storage data on my t410 and had a few questions about the adaptation of the dvd to the HARD disk to use. (1) the t410 certainly does support the adapter? (2) will the adapter supports all 9.5 mm HDD 2.5 "? can I use a 7200 RPM drive? (3) this configuration supports protection against shock, as the HARD disk drive Bay original? (4) is there anything else I should consider? THX in advance

More important than what wardrobe cheap to buy (they are all good markets) is to get a nice surge protector.   Most of the people just plug their external references in the wall directly, which offers almost no protection against electrical storms.  Also make sure that regardless of how pregnant you buy says 3.0 is, there is a difference in very noticeable performance between 2.0 and 3.0.

  • Satellite C870D - 11 X - Realtek WLAN Driver and adapter issues

I hope this is the right place for some kind of assistance. Last week, I installed a Windows Update option for the Realtek Wireless Adapter. Once it was installed, the wireless connection dropped after 5 minutes and the only way to restore it was to run the troubleshooter where he repaired, and then lasted another 5 minutes before going down. I couldn't find a sequel to uninstall the update, so very foolishly uninstalled Realtek adapter in Control Panel Add/Remove programs who left my PC without a driver.

I had to (and am still) attach my PC to my phone to use the Wi - Fi connection. I searched this site and found the Realtek adapter download and installed, however, its still does not. It does not detect the router home or any other nearby Wi - Fi access points. Windows diagnosis was performed several times, that he picked up that there is a problem with the Wi - Fi adapter, however, is unable to fix it. He said only: "There could be a problem with the driver for the adapter Wi - Fi" and when I fly over the result, it evokes "Windows could not automatically bind the Protocol IP on the network card stack.

I tried to run a restore of the system which goes back to the date that I've installed and Windows has just said that the restoration has failed. If I need to do a complete reinstall, it will be the 2nd time in less than a year since I bought this PC. Please can anyone help with what I can do next? Thank you.

At first, I must say that you should not install any driver that is offered by Windows update. Toshiba offers notebook with recovery image pre-installed that contains all the drivers, tools and utilities. The preinstalled drivers are tested and avoid a serious problem.

Everything that you have done is good and I think that there is not so much possibilities except to the Reinstall original WLAN driver available on the Toshiba download page.
    > If I need to do a complete reinstall, it will be the 2nd time in less than a year since I bought this PC.
OK, I understand that, but it does not depend on the recovery image, but in the way how you use your laptop. I phone 4 years old and always use installation of initial recovery with the original drivers and I have no problem.

Sorry, but maybe you should back up all your important data and reinstall the recovery still image, but after doing that doesn't change anything. Just install major update of Windows, and no more than that.
