Inspiron 1545 integrated webcam and Windows 8

Hello

I've recently updated for Windws 8. I was very happy because it was cheap enough and everything seems to work smoothly on the old machine.

However, I noticed that my webcam was not working. In Device Manager, I found an unknown device, which must be the webcam, as it does anywhere else. No matter what I do, I can't get the webcam installed. Other sites tell me maybe I got the Dell support site and download the latest driver.

On page that Windows 7 is barely supported then of course there is no driver to download it. I tried to uninstall the strangers and installation (Vista) webcam drivers age without success.

Can someone help me? All advice is appreciated.

Thank you

Andy

Andy,

Look at the Inspiron 1545 repair. Page 46 of reading. I think that this model has screws around the bezel. On other models, the bezel comes off by getting your nails under him gently. Some have no screws.

Once Pierce you the loose bezel at the top, unplug the webcam, then reconnect it.

  • Problem with Dell Inspiron 1545 integrated Webcam

I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 with a built-in webcam. It came with Vista but I upgraded to a Windows 7 64-bit. The webcam used to work at the beginning. I don't know why but one day it stopped working and never worked more. I looked everywhere on the internet means and tried a lot of ways, and it still does not work. Device Manager identifies as "Unknown device" and identifies it as a USB Bus controller. I tried to uninstall it and always allow to detect, but it detects as unknown device. I also tried to reinstall the driver, the vista one because it doesn't have a windows 7 one. What this did was uninstall the old and tried to install a new one (which is the same). But the thing is, it does not work. He'll try to install it and then a message saying "an error has occurred in the installation of the driver" or something like that and then it does not work. I ended up having to run the system restore to recover the pilot. I tried many ways and still does not work. Even the average USB cable. I have been using a USB mouse. I even plugged the USB cable in all my USB ports and it did not work. I tried to connect is not in what either too and it does not work either. I can't even ask Dell to help cause there is nothing to support that I can get. And my drivers are all up to date. Can someone help me solve this problem?

    Hi Kakikala,

    Thank you for posting.

At this point, I suggest you to contact Dell to see if the compatible device in Windows 7.

If this is the case, they must provide you with a driver that will correctly identify and install the unit.

You can also ask them if another device, like a USB joystick, needs a driver to be able to identify the material of the webcam and install it correctly.

  • Blutooth 365 is not found on Dell Inspiron 1545 with upgrade to Windows 7

I had a 365 blutooth on my Dell Inspiron 1545 running in Windows Vista. I've upgraded to Windows 7, and now Windows 7 can not find it. It is activated when I pass by the system put in place... How can I find it on windows 7? When I push the button on my keyboard it turn on and off, I see the symbol but the symbol does not appear in the taskbar.

    Hi Andieb102,

Check if your bluetooth is listed in Device Manager .
If it is not, you see any exclaimation mark on this subject?
The first step I would have you to do is to run the Hardware Troubleshooter .

    Step 2:
Because the Dell 365 bluetooth adapter requires no additional software after the upgrade to Windows 7 (it should do this automatically). In the event that it fails to update itself automatically, I suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the bluetooth card.

Uninstall the bluetooth device manager card drivers and reinstall the same.

    To uninstall the Device Manager,

    1. click on start, type device manager in the search box of start and press ENTER.
2 locate the device and expand the same.
    3. Select the bluetooth adapter, right click and select uninstall.
4 restart the computer, if prompted.

Pilots should settle automatically after the computer restarts.

Note: Before uninstalling the drivers from Device Manager, make sure that you have a backup installation files.
    Step 3:

Sometimes, once you upgrade your operating system, some services will be disabled automatically. I would like to you can check if ' Bluetooth Support Service ' is disabled. If it is disabled, enable it.

You can find this service by going to:

    1. start
    2 Control Panel
    3. Administrative Tools
    4 services
    5. Select 'Bluetooth Support Service' and set it to automatic.

  • Qosmio G40 - webcam and windows live messenger

Well I've had this problem before and was solved with the installation of Service Pack 1. Well now it comes back to haunt me again! Windows live messenger does not register the webcam. The cam works and I am registered in the control panel etc. It is only on live messenger it does not...

As described above, I have a Qosmio G40 with Windows Vista Ultimate and windows live messenger.

Live messenger is set to allow phone calls and Messenger live in general - but there is no exceptions for webcam in the Security Panel?

Looks quite simply that the cam is not lit - I have a black screen with static...

    Any ideas to fix this?

    Hello irfan mir.

    Welcome to the community,

With Windows 7 webcam driver should get installed automatically. It might be the Webcam Application that does not work properly. Try to uninstall the Webcam of the System Manager (Control Panel, programs and features, select Manager of Webcam, click on uninstall).

Restart the system and install the application Webcam Central from this link below:

  • TWAIN webcam and Windows 7 drivers

I searched the Internet high and low trying to get an answer as to if the LifeCams have a TWAIN for Windows 7 driver.  As stated by several people on the net, many applications still require a TWAIN driver for webcams to work in their requests, even if Windows 7 is not required.  My service COMPUTER applications recommended HD-6000, HD-3000 or VX-2000 and their TWAIN drivers, but I cannot confirm that they have TWAIN drivers.

Isn't it or not?  I'm tired or research and appeal.  Laughing out loud

  • Inspiron N5110 integrated webcam not working not

I bought Inspiron N5110 last week. Right from the first day, I could not use the built-in webcam with Dell Webcam central or the Skype software. When I open Dell webcam central, it displays this message down 'no supported Webcam connected '. Even in Skype, when I click on the video, nothing appears. I uninstalled and reinstalled dell central webcam, but no use. I also uninstalled the driver for the webcam in device-> imaging devices Manager and reinstalled. But it's always the same. I also could not see driver for webcam my computer model in the Dell Web site. support for drivers has the same problem?

I have a similar problem, but I think that the issue could be with the Dell Webcam Central.  I have uninstall and reinstalled the program, then also installed new updates for it.  I deactivated and activated the device.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver.  I've updated the driver.  I downloaded a new driver, based on advice from another forum (includes a new version as updates).  Still nothing works.  However, I got the camera worked briefly at some stage tonight after one of my moments of "Reinstall driver".  Not a lot of fun.  Spending a few hours on Skype to my family (I moved recently interstate) attempt to fix then to see them and have them only hear me.

    Any ideas?

Otherwise I'll be in him passing on Dell.
