Inspiron 1545 Webcam not found in Device Manager

My integrated Webcam has a message "Please plug in a supported device."  I have updated all imaging software but could not suddenly a video call in Skype.  When I went to the Device Manager, I found that the Wedcam is more listed.  As my computer is now out of warranty, I can't contact Dell support on how to troubleshoot or fix the problem.

I sweep Dell issues & received a message there is no webcam installed.  In recent months I have last access to the webcam so I don't know when the last, this has worked but was not serious in August 2013.

Anyone know how to solve the problem?  The only advice locally was the technology will have to send them out to diagnose the problem & could not give an estimate of the cost.  When this computer crashed EXACTLY 1 week after the expiry of the extended warranty & $299, I spent with Dell to replace the hard drive in October 2012, I will not buy another guarantee.  The cost related to repair in time for 90 days & then Dell wanted me to take an another $299 for an extention of the year.  Third party repairs have been made and the computer had to be shipped back twice before it worked correctly.

Any help is appreciated!

Nancy

Hi Nancy,.

Consult the following link which has steps to solve the problem:

http://Dell.to/18tJTi2

If the webcam is not dectected in the Device Manager, we need to replace the webcam.

If the problem persists, run the diagnostics on the webcam.

http://Dell.to/15eT5VI

Under the component select camera and click Run diagnostics.

As the warranty has expired, you will need to contact our team of warranty repairs has expired which can provide information on the price of parts and replacement: http://dell.to/14UCPMK (for customers in the United States).

Waiting for your answer!

    I have a Toshiba Satellite A300 PSAG4A 02L00M with Vista Home Premium 64-bit.
The webcam is not working and it is not detected in Device Manager.
When I install the Chicony camera drivers, I get the "Webcam driver open fail. Error message.

The fact that I can't see the Webcam in Device Manager tells me that there may be a hardware failure.
However, I hope that this is a setting that I can fix myself.

I had restored the laptop to factory also and I've updated the bios.
I tried to uninstall all the USB controllers and reboot the PC.

Is there something I can do?
    It's maybe a software problem?
    There may be a setting?

Best way to test the operation of the equipment is to check with the factory settings installation operating system with the Toshiba recovery image. As I see that you have done this already.

So if cam still doesn't work properly, I fear that there is a problem with the hardware.
It cannot be matter of software because the recovery image contains the driver for the cam.

  • Treo 800w not found in Device Manager and does not connect to ActiveSync

I just got my Treo 800w and I have ActiveSync it once.  After that, I had a lot of trouble trying to get activesync to say that it was connected to the computer.  After doing some research on Google and help forums looking around, I discovered that the Treo should appear in my device manager when you are connected to the computer.  I went to my device manager and of course, it wasn't there.  After a lot of time trying to make it work, I found that the best thing to do is remove the battery and plug it in again.  Then the computer will find again.

However, I also learned what was causing my problem and I don't know if it's a windows or a problem of palm, but it is a question.  If you connect a Treo 800w on a WinXP (I don't have Vista so I don't know if this problem exists) and even if you touch it connected the power button on all Windows POPs a message saying a USB device has malfunctioned and will cease to recognize the device.  I then told my wife (the main user of the Treo) to never touch the power button and even less the Treo at all while it is plugged into the computer.

If this question has already been posted... I'm sorry that I'm not looking for it...

If you read my entire post it says I already found the solution.  Try all the things you listed didn't work for my problem.  I write only because I believe that it is a bug/problem with palm or windows and the device.  Take the battery, put the battery back in, and reconnect the unit is the only thing that works.

I also tried to uninstall ActiveSync, reboot, install ActiveSync and the battery... it works too, but it's much faster to just remove the battery then put it back and reconnect the device.

To answer your other question on ActiveSync Yes, I've got 4.5.

Message is about: Treo 800w (Sprint)

  • Satellite A500-17 x - wifi does not work - not found in Device Manager

    Hi people,

    I need help please.

My wireless adapter does not work.
It worked perfectly until I connected to a wired connection in a hotel I was staying in and since then I can not connect to my wireless router.

I tried restoring the tosystem several times to old dates, but it has not solved the problem. When I restart the computer laptop and go into devices and printers, I thought that the computer needs to be troubleshooted.

The program runs and try to install the driver for the Wlan but returns with errors. Namely, windows could not load the driver or can verify the digital signature.

There is also no icon in the network for lan wlan connections only. When I use the radar in connectivity doctor tells me that the WiFi network is disabled but I can't understand how to activate it.

When I start in safe mode and go to Device Manager I see the wireless network adapter, but when I try to install the driver I leave safe mode and restart. I did and then the WiFi network is displayed in the Device Manager but when I try to load the driver, I thought that the driver is updated and then the adapter disappears from the Device Manager.

I'm so frustrated at this point and I'm very close to a full erase and start over.

I also tried to reload and load the default configuration settings in the installation program, but didn't make any difference.

    My laptop is a Satellite A500-17 x with windows 7 64 bit.
The WiFi network is Realtek RTL8192E Wireless Lan 802.11 PCI - ENIC

    Hello

Go to BIOS (press F2) and set it to default settings.
Save the changes and restart the device.
Then try to reinstall the WLan driver again.

If that does not help, download the most recent and updated BIOS to BIOS first day.
Then, restart the device and try reinstalling the Wlan driver.

Last but not least you could test the WLan feature on laptop running with factory settings current (after using the Toshiba Recovery)

PS: in order to use the WiFi network you must use the FN + F8 key combination and must turn on the WLan (in front of the laptop) switch to position.

  • Re: Tecra M11 - 15W - Parallel Port LPT1, not found in Device Manager

    Hello

I have Tecra M11 with PA3680E-1PRP Docking Station. BIOS Version 2.9.

Problem is, I want to use the Parallel Port LPT 1, but in anchorage additive dosent device manager there.

    Thanks much for the tips

    Hey Buddy,

What device is connected to the LPT1 port? Usually if you connect a device to LPT port and you turn on you will be asked for drivers. AFAIK the LPT device drivers must be installed before connect you.

Several years ago I also used LPT connection for my printer but one day it didn't work. The problem was only a defective cable. I replaced it with a new one, and then the connection to the printer has been recognized again correctly! :)

  • Connect a camera, camera not found in Device Manager? -Updated!

I've had problems with my camera for a few months now. Yesterday, I got fed up and took off all my files and reset the computer. When I open the camera it worked for about a second, then come back onscreen "connect a camera". I use an ASUS Q200E with a built-in webcam. Given that I have restored the laptop, I was using windows 8, and when I tried to install updates before installing 8.1, which took an hour or two, they failed.

When you go to the ASUS site I can't find a driver of webcam 8 windows (or 8.1). I tried for hours to find a.

Told me the troubleshooting of hardware and devices that "material changes may not have been detected.

I followed the steps for the option in the BIOS, but when I got to the stage where I had to find the configuration of the system, it was not there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm getting very frustrated with all these questions about a freshly delivered to zero laptop.

UPDATE: I installed all available updates finally. When I open the camera app, I was able to use the webcam and take a picture of me. However, when I moved my computer on my lap the webcam has stopped working and I had returned to the page "connect a camera".

    Is this a hardware problem?

    Hi EmmaAyubi,

While the webcam is running for a few seconds, it stops working when the laptop is moved, there is a possible connectivity problem. Please, contact the ASUS technical support and see if they can help you with this.

  • built-in webcam not found in the Device Manager, Samsung r710 laptop, windows 7

I have a laptop Samsung R710, who settled with Windows 7. The laptop came with a built-in webcam. I was not able to get a piece of software to recognize the camera. I did a system restore. Updated the drivers. Visited the Samsung website for updates. When I opened the Device Manager to see the drivers for the webcam, webcam not found in Device Manager.

Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, I must admit to thinking in the same direction you... buy a separate camera or wait until he is more under warranty and have a quick look at the wiring around the hinge.

I have a model of portable pavilion G62-233NR windows 7 64-bit, with a built-in webcam.  YouC'm software was bundled with it and worked.  Now the webcam is not found by one of the video programs AE Skype, Youcam... etc...

I also noticed that the webcam does not appear in Device Manager. I tell me that I have to reinstall a driver for it but do not know what driver to install. HP has the following availble drivers for my model but which?  If one of the pilots was labeled "webcam", the task would be easy. I hope because the driver is missing in Device Manager that has installed a driver will set missing cam... I'm worried because I don't see a driver named "webcam" in the list... but what else could the problem, how can I get the driver installed, if that's the problem.

  • PA: Uninstalled my webcam drivers and now webcam is missing from Device Manager

    Hello

I had trouble with my webcam I decided to uninstall the driver to try reinstalling one from scratch.

The problem is that now my webcam is still not displayed in Device Manager, so I can't access its settings to try to update the driver.

It was a very stupid thing to do, and now I don't know what to do...

    Thanks in advance!

    Cecilia

    Hi Cecilia,.

Unless you have already done, the first thing I would say is just to reboot the laptop and see if Windows RE-discovered the Webcam and load a driver for it.

If this does not work, try to run the system restore to return the machine to a point in time before that you deleted the windows driver - see Option 2 below.

  • CD/dvd drive is not listed in Device Manager

my laptop is a hp pavillion entertainment pc dv6605us, running windows vista. the cd/dvd drive is not read / write any CD and it is not listed in Device Manager. I tried to fix this problem by using the microsoft fixit tool, but I'm still having the same problem. I checked the system registry and found no upperfilters and lowerfilters.
Please, how can I solve this problem?

    Hello

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as it is often the total process
    which solves the problem.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
    the parameters.
