• retina iMac 5K AMD Radeon graphics card will be a problem for first Pro CC and AE?

  So far, I had no problem all editing of images 4K scaled down in 1080 p timelines in Adobe first Pro CC on my 2012 iMac i7 with these specs:

  

  Now I am considering upgrading to the iMac 5 K retina with the following maximum out-of-specs:

  

  • I will be maxing out the DDR3 RAM 32 GB with third-party RAM sticks, probably OWC.

  But I read in various forums that even the iMac of retina 5K upgrade AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4 GB memory GDDR5 graphics card would not be able to handle video editing in Premiere Pro or AE CC effects. That would require an NVIDIA card that Apple chose to end their 5 K retina iMac.  I guess that I can't understand how a 2014 maxed out retina 5K iMac would not at least as powerful as a 2012 iMac i7.

  As I use programs Adobe CC to my creative work, I don't want to upgrade to an iMac that can't handle 4 K editing in a 1080 p timeline just because of a change in graphics cards.

  What are your thoughts? Anyone working in first Pro CC in view of the retina of the iMac?

  I am facing a very strange problem in my Inspiron 15R 5520 I bought in August 2012. There are a few characters that only appear after typing the corresponding button on the keyboard twice.

  for example if I want to type a tilde (~) character, I have to press the fear side of the number key 1. But, if I press it once, nothing appears on the screen. If I press this key twice, then I get two characters tilde (~). Same behavior occurs with four other characters. Below is a list of characters that do not show by pressing the button once, rather than twice.

  Surprisingly, when I was typing shift + 6 in the field of the composition of this forum, then the sign of the (^) character appeared after press the key once. Whereas, if I try in Notepad or Word Pad or the Mozila FireFox address bar, I have to press the key two times so that character appears twice, and then delete the extra character.

  The problem is with the keyboard language setting. You may have selected English (International) while setting up your laptop / desktop at the beginning.

  Go to control panel of-> all items from Panel of control-> region and language-> Formats.

  Change Format English (United States). It should solve your problem.

  My laptop is DELL Inspiron 15R 5520 and I bought it 3 years ago and it was nice but I recently had a problem with my laptop and I hope someone can identify the problem and help solve it.

  The problem is that my laptop makes 1 beep per second every time I press the power button and I had to hold the power button to turn off the laptop and the same thing continues 3 - 4 times until finally turns on and boots in Windows as usual. I was able to run diagnostics ePSA and it found no problems with Windows, I was able to run a test on the motherboard using the program Assistant to the support that I downloaded from DELL website, but the result of the test is passed. It seems that my laptop does not start in Windows as soon as the first test but she page and fail to start for a while and after several tests, it boots into Windows as it should. Can someone tell me what is the real reason behind this and how to fix this?

  This option is selected at time of purchase of the system.

  Graphics on laptops are integrated on the motherboard of a computer and where you plan to update the graphics card, you may need to replace components such as the motherboard, AC adapter / CC and heat sink. Although the AMD Radeon is considered to be a discrete on this system option, they are soldered to the system board and cannot be replaced separately.

• Inspiron 15R (5537) wake from its slumber when the lid is closed through the usb keyboard/mouse

  I have an Inspiron 15R (5537) which has all the latest drivers from Dell BIOS A01 Reference (Windows 8). I have the options of closing the lid set to "do nothing" for the two battery and plugged in, but no matter what I try, when the lid is closed I can't the laptop to wake up via USB keyboard or mouse.
  The keyboard and mouse have the wake-up option enabled in the settings of their material.  I also wake up from USB enabled in the BIOS.
  What is interesting, is that if I put the computer to sleep with the lid open, I can wake him up from the keyboard or the mouse.  But with the lid closed, the only way to wake up, it should open the cover and press the power button.
  Anyone know a solution to this?

  Cover open: CAN wake from USB keyboard/mouse.

  Depending on where you live, you will have the rights of consumers.  I live in Australia and we have pretty good consumer protection.

  I asked Dell - repair, replace it with one that works, or pay back me.

  They went away for a few weeks, and when I "called home" a few times, they acknowledged that they could not solve the problem and offered me a full refund. The laptop was picked up yesterday and I expect the refund within about five days. The guy on my "case" has been very professional!

  I guess that you informed Dell FORMALLY of the problem via a support ticket?

  I did that and followed by chat and phone calls.

  Whist, the ability to wake up via USB is not explicitly described in any of their literature, the bios has available and W8.1 has the facility.  they built it all - EXCEPT that they forgot the lid...

• Dell Inspiron 15R 5520 BIOS UPDATE

  I am updating a BIOS on a Dell Inspiron 15R 5520 using a DOS environment.  I downloaded the update to the BIOS of the support Web site of Dell, which is 5520A14.exe, and placed on a bootable USB flash drive using the Dell Diagnostics Deployment Package.

  When I run 5520A14.exe, once I started the system it just comes up saying 'Test' and does not run in the BIOS update utility.  I thought that maybe the executable may be corrupted, so I downloaded again and still got the same problem.

  I also tried to download the executable file for review 13, who did the same.

  Please advise me on my next course of action.

  Installation from a Windows 8 environment is not an option.

  You will need to prepare a flashdrive bootable Windows - BIOS can not be flashed from a DOS environment.

  looks at it's not going to work. Wireless products are programmed to be used with a specific key, so they won't work on another dongle.

  Power supplies run about $50.  It is a rectangular box at the corner of the system in which the power supply will from the outside.  It's a pretty standard form in most of the PC and with a little investigation thorough replacements can be found.
