Inspiron 17 HDMI Audio of the substitution of Jack?

Just set up my new laptop (Inspiron 17 7000 Series) and have a separate monitor running off the HDMI to my office.  With the connected monitor, HDMI seems to be the substitution of the audio input jack.

I would listen to my headphones while working, but taking only works if the HDMI is disconnected.

How can I rectify this?

Hello. Try to go to the playback of the sound properties (right click on the audio icon > playback devices) and select speakers from the devices list and make it the default device. You may need to do this each time you connect HDMI.

    Hello.

When I play audio on the mic/line jack I can record audio from an external sound source with no problems, but I can't make audible somehow through the laptop speakers (or via the headphone/line-out Jack connected to an external amplifier with speakers). Is it possible to switch to reading the entry to the Jack line-in, as if connect you an external mp3 player to the computer to play through the laptop speakers?

  • HP ENVY laptop - 14-j153ca: HDMI Audio Driver not installed?

I am reported a new problem associated with the HDMI port on my laptop HP ENVY - 14-j153ca I bought ~ 6 weeks ago.

My HDMI provides the video component from my laptop when streaming from a video output on my HDTV (1080 Panasonic 42 "). But last week, the associated audio signal is not be included in the transmission to the audio control on my HD (via HDMI to the TV port). It was working properly before HDTV using the HDMI port, but now is not. HDTV works

I do not know what sparked the question, but I checked for a driver when studying the sound card details and has not seen a driver for audio support HDMI.

The computer works normally, and the only software change was the installation of protection software AVG antivirius on 3 February 2016 (expiry the software McAffee test supplied with the machine).

It would be appreciated if you could help and advise what is required to fix this problem with the lack of HDMI audio during the flow of a video output on my HDTV.

    Thank you.

    Kind regards

    RWA.

  • No the D3100 HDMI audio output

I'm trying to connect my TV to JMB in my Dell Inspiron 7559 via the D3100 docking station. I have a picture but no sound. There is no HDMI option in the audio device Manager Windows 10. When I connect the TV directly into the laptop I have no problem with the audio.

    Hi Robert,.

For your info, I had the problem solved on the DisplayLink Forum: -.

"The D3100 Dell delivers the sound to multiple output at the same time, unlike the dedicated graphics card audio adapter, it will not take the name of your amplifier as it can not take several names." It would be a little overwhelming to get 5 new audio devices (2 HDMI, 1 DP, 2-shot) just to the dock in any case...

If you get no sound on Sony receiver, can you try to remove the plug to see if this helps it?
I don't know how to put Dell up audio on their dock.

It worked for me.  I removed the plug back and hey presto sound has been rerouted to HDMI!

    See you soon.

  • How can I get multi channel audio via the HDMI port on an early 2015 MacBook Pro?

I try to get the 7.1 audio channels to flow from my MacBook Pro to a cinema set up. The display works fine now I plug the HDMI in however the sound still Mac speakers. I checked the settings and no HDMI output is available. An airtime option is available, but that returns only two channels as a maximum to the receiver. When I go to the configuration of the source on the receiver it receives video at 1080 p 60herts however it is specifically stated No Audio from the Source.

Also, I have connected my iPhone 6 s more using an Apple through the same HDMI cable adapter and it works perfectly. We also use HDMI with our PS4 occasionally and it works perfectly, even with the 3D.

Thus, the MacBook Pro is early 2015 with an i5, the receiver is a Harmon Kardon AVR 2700 (we run 7.1 channels of this) and we are connecting via the HDMI port through a 50 ft HDMI before. The receiver sends the audio to a projector with 1080 p 60 hertz if it changes anything...

Also if it helps the receiver supports dts - hd master audio decoding, Dolby True HD/Digital Plus decoding, HDMI 1.4 (HDMI is compatible 2.0), as well as multi-channel input and PCM and linear PCM.

    I use a "Behringer UCA202' audio device I bought on amazon.com for only $29.

It works very well for the audio 5.1 or 7.2. Works connect optical toslink. Just plug it into a usb port on your Mac and a cable optical toslink to your AV receiver.

My Yahmaha 7.2 audio/video receiver is measuring process the digital signal in THX, DTS, Dolby digital Pro logic, a cinema, etc.

  • 13 d-0016nl envy: problems with the HDMI audio

    Dear Sirs,

Due to some problems with an engineering program I had to reinstall Windows 10 on my laptop. The version of Windows is the same of the one installed on the laptop when I bought it. Before the laptop with HDMI audio installation worked fine, but then, while the HDMI video continues to work well, the audio turns off directly from the laptop, such that the cable was not connected.

I tried to activate the 'reproduction devices' HDMI connection, but I'm not able to do this because it's as if the cable is not connected, and the HDMI connection icon appears as gray.

I tried to update the audio driver, but it didn't work, so I tried to download and install the latest version of these drivers from the hp site but neither this worked.

Can you help me? The laptop is quite new and I would like to solve this problem without using 2 different cables to connect also a speaker with a cable to the because the HDMI does not work as it should.

    Thanks in advance,

    Martina.

You are the very welcome, Martina.

It would be the graphics driver you need install the HDMI audio driver...

This package provides the driver that allows graphics Intel high definition (HD) in the notebook models that are running an operating system supported. If the video output high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) is supported, this package also installs the HDMI Audio Driver.

  • Satellite L500-131, an HDMI output to the audio amplifier

    Hello

I can't the sound of my Satellite L500-131 HDMI port to my Pioneer amp supposed to be designed to manage these tings...

Think the problem is in the early stages as I * don't * select "Realtek HDMI output" as default + output + option is not available.
Playing around, I managed to get to an old Microsoft driver hidden in memory somewhere and could select HDMI output 'default' through the laptop speakers. But ultimately this ddn can't get sound through either, well that the volume to "sound board" control of Vista indicates activity signal (bars during playback of DVD)... :|

No idea what is the problem? By selecting "Output HDMI" audio output by default seems to be a Solver for everyone, but it's the only option that is not left in me, so frustrating... :|

Thank you very much for any help provided.

    Hello

To be honest I often use HDMI connection on my laptop but I never had any problems with this connection. Everything is working properly and even I checked again all works well!

Anyway, in your case, I'll try reinstalling the audio driver. You can find it on the Toshiba site.

If you use the HDMI connection, connect the cable first. Then turn on your TV or your amplifier and finally the laptop.
    Check it!

  • My hdmi cable transmits is no longer the audio with the video, how can I get audio to transmit

Why the audio transmitted with the video, it is used to

    Hello

Open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open display devices - note equipment listed here i.e. ATI, NVidia or Intel.

Then connect your laptop via HDMI to your TV.  Do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar, and select playback devices.  Click once on the left (just to point out the entrance), the HDMI output that has the same name as your graphics card, and then click the set as default button, see if you now audio through the HDMI connection.

  • HDMI Audio driver disappears after the RDP session

I have a desktop PC that I use as a HTPC. It is running xp pro sp3. I have a graphics card Radeon HD5570 I use to connect it to my TV via the HDMI interface. I recently had a car accident and had to rebuild the system disk (re - install windows, drivers, etc.). I also have access to this computer from my office by remote desktop.
Here's the problem: I'm going to start the machine and the sound will come through the HDMI audio device on the graphics card. Later, I will connect to the machine remotely, and sound come RDP to my work PC. I'll cut and go home, but the HDMI audio device will no longer work until a reboot. HDMI audio is not listed in the menu sound options, but it shows up on Device Manager.

How can I keep the computer from the oblivion of the HDMI audio device when I connect to RDP?

If you use the catalyst driver version 12.4, there may be a bug in the driver as described in the following link:

    http://devgurus.AMD.com/thread/159106

If so, try a different version.

  • Inspiron 15 do not detect the headphones into the audio input jack

Yes, I checked to make sure it wasn't the atria. I used 2 different pairs, each of the works fine on my other computer.

My laptop has been recently upgraded to Windows 8.1. Since then, the audio Jack was my ear has been detected. This has not happened before.

Also, I know there are a lot of laptops with 'Inspiron 15', but I don't know exactly which one it is. If you could tell me how to find it, I'll do.

If you want to try the native audio driver, the instructions are through this link above. If you want to see if it is better to have a driver directly from Realtek:

Go to the selection of downloads Realtek page. http://www.Realtek.com.tw/downloads/
On the page, click on 'High Definition Audio Codecs.
Check "I accept", and then click "next".
In the column named "Description" you can find the file named README. Who has the instructions for the installation or update.
In the column named "Download", click one of the server names to download the Readme.
Return to the column named "Description" and select your operating system (and if it is 32 bit or 64 bit) at the top of page 2 choice in the list.
In the column named "Download", click one of the server names to download the driver.

The current version on the Realtek site is R2.75. Don't know how that one differs from Dell.

  • 2 months old Inspiron 1720 (Vista Ultimate) - No. Audio except the system beeps

First, let me preface this by saying that I'm certainly not a novice computer user.  I am a software engineer and have worked with Vista systems for more than a year.  All of a sudden a few days ago, I noticed my audio stopped working on my 2 months, Inspiron 1720 (Windows Vista Ultimate Edition and SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC).  When I try to manually start the service Windows Audio from the Service Control Manager it says "Windows didn't start the Windows Audio service on Local computer."  Error 1068: the dependency service or group could start. "I then try to start the dependent service MMCSS and get manually:"Windows could not start the MMCSS service on Local computer.  «Error 193: 0xc1»  Look in the event viewer under Windows Logs--> system, I see an error message: "the MMCSS service terminated with the following error: MMCSS is not a valid Win32 application."

I first tried to download the latest audio driver from the Dell website and reinstall the driver.   When it does work, I called Dell and spent the afternoon with them trying to use the system restore to load several different restore points, eventually go all the way back to the original restore point (2 months ago).  None of the restore points will not load successfully.  Dell said it's a software problem and perhaps a trampled on their "QuickSet" application and recommended Microsoft Update I download the latest driver for QuickSet and reinstall.  I did this and still no sound.

Looking for MSDN and Google I stumbled upon a few elements that mention a Windows Update (1 of 3 pre-Vista SP1 update pushed last week) that caused a few problems and was later fired by Microsoft (see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/937287 and http://www.news.com/Microsoft-pulls-Vista-SP1-update/2100-1016_3-6231299.html?tag=ne.fd.mnbc).

Given that, I looked at my history of update and, of course, the 937287 update has been installed on 15-02-08 (which always is my audio stopped working).  However, this update cannot be removed.

At this point I don't know if the problem is with the update of Microsoft or something else and am running out of ideas to solve this without reloading the original image and lose all my data.

  • How to document iMac to my apple tv 2, but sending audio to the Airport express connected to my hifi

I have an iMac, a macmini an express airport. I want to send 720 p video to the Apple TV 2 iMac (or macmini) but send audio to the express from the airport which is connected to my stereo. If the apple TV 2 will serve as a video receiver connected to my projector on the ceiling. (I don't have a way to use a hdmi cable). This is the reason why audio must be sent to the hifi differently.  Alternatevely because the macmini is connected by USB cable to my hifi (to my dac), perhaps there is a way to send audio from a movie to the stereo through audio external USB card (it is the dac) while reflecting the macmini for the Apple TV 2...

in iTunes, you can select more then 1 speaker output could be the express and then mirrored to the appletv in the manner of STDS, if is not in iTunes then I think that you need a third party such as the wing option
