Inspiron 560 no workey

Hi all

I'm looking at an Inspiron 560 for a friend.  What happens is that when you press the power button, the unit appears to power on, but there is no video out on VGA or HDMI ports, so I have no idea of what is lacking on this thing that I don't see anything to make any diagnosis on it.  I thought maybe food so I tried to take the power supply Bestec stock and put in a Diablotek DA350 I have sitting around, but he did not like.  So now I think maybe a motherboard problem.  If anyone has had a similar problem and if so, have you been able to solve it?  I did a search on forum for Inspiron 560, but I had more than 20 pages of results that really don't look forward to pass through.  I noticed other problems after start, but did not get far enough in the search results to find a user with same problem.  Any help is appreciated.  Thank you!

You did a good job in eliminating the possibilities and it seems that the embedded video has disappeared. Your only option now would be to replace the motherboard.

Yes, the Inspiron 560 MT supports two 3.5 "SATA internal hard drives.

Dell has not released written instructions for adding an additional SATA hard drive in the 560 MT

But as the Tower of 530 Dell Mini has the same chassis, the same procedures can be used.

Instructions for the installation of a second hard drive physically here are:

    http://FTP.Dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_desktop/esuprt_inspiron_desktop/Inspiron-530_owner%27s%20manual_en-us.PDF

After you install the second hard drive, enter the BIOS Setup] and ensure that the drive is enabled [on].

Then partition, format the hard drive and it assigned a drive letter by using disk management.

  • Boot Dell Inspiron 560 problem

    Hey,.

I've had my Dell Inspiron 560 with Windows 7 for about 4 months now and a few days ago I was turn my computer as always and as I do the light is solid blue and I can hear the fans start to move, but my screen is black. I know that the problem is not my screen because I unplugged and plugged back in as "Dell" screen and then the screen would go to power saving mode. I unplugged and plugged all the cables and I will always have this problem. I've also pressed the power button and I it would hold for about 3 seconds until I hear it turn off with a beep. Please help me.

Yes, the motherboard is a replaceable part and can cost $100 +, as well as S & H, these motherboards are generally used, alias "renovated".

But, if the motherboard needs to be replaced, before you buy, check the cost of the purchase of a computer, nine or of occasion.

I had a quick glance at the "Global Tech Specs" for Inspiron 560-570 and have some questions about the 560 version:

The HDMI connector is active with the integrated graphic subsystem? If so, why the "monitor included' sales with a compatible monitor HDMI ST-2310 configuration includes only a VGA cable?

The location (124 pins) bus PCI is used in such configuration delivered?

Is the PCI Express slot used in a configuration as delivered bus x 16 (164 - pin code)?

How many of the two PCI Express x 1 slots (36 pins) buses are used in such configuration delivered?

Which slot the PCI Modem option (but not purchase-able) involved?

What the card slot PCI Express WiFi deal?

    1. VGA cable is cheaper (as cheaper $.40, but again which is the only reason why I think).

Is there a downside to the use of sata III? It is slower than sata II drives?

There are zero and no., lll SATA will work at speed he's SATA.

SATA I, is the first generation clocked at 1.5 Gbps SATA.

SATA II interface, is a second generation running at 3.0 GB/s SATA.

SATA III interface, a third generation of interface SATA 6.0 GB/s turns. The bandwidth rate, which is supported by the interface is up to 600 MB/s.

SATA II specifications provide backward compatibility of function on SATA channels.

SATA III Specifications provide backward compatibility to run on SATA I and SATA II ports.

However, the maximum speed of the disk will be slower because of lower speed limits of the port.

  • New Inspiron 560 - dual head video card

    Hello

I recently bought a new Dell Inspiron 560, which is being built as I type.  I use a multi-screen work configuration and the habit of it - so I would like to upgrade my computer to do so.  I have a good bit of experience working on the PC, but not recently - and it seems that the world of video cards has changed a bit in the past 6 years and more.  (I think I know that the onboard video will have to be disabled to use another video card, so it would take the dual head card or USB video adapter.)

I don't want to upgrade the power supply, which I believe would be necessary with a video card "hardcore".  I'm not a gamer and don't expect to ever need a video card that powerful.   I am considering Radeo 4350 card made by Asus (a brand that I know) http://www.amazon.com/Radeon-EAH4350-PCI-Express-Silent-Graphics/dp/B00203CU5S/ref=sr_1_4?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1291916786&sr=1-4

What is a good option that works in the Inspiron 560?  Thank you in advance!

An addendum to the original question: one of my monitors has a HDMI input - it seems that the Inspiron 560 has 1 HDMI output and 1 VGA output.  Could I just use these for a 2 two monitor Setup?

    Thank you.

  • Loss of networking on Inspiron 560 after Windows Update

INS 560 works fine until Windows Update installed the latest updates for Windows 7.

After reboot, I now have a red 'X' through the connection icon and no networking (LAN & Internet).

The status of the NIC is "working properly".

The normal rear rollers system restore to before day, but Windows Update updates runs as soon as we have the same problem.

I re start in Ubuntu and the NIC works fine.

Someone else with the same problem?

    Hi K Sujatha,

Thanks for the tips. Looking at the available System Restore Points we no longer have the ability to restore to a point before the update of Windows. He "fell" available Restore Points as I already tried to restore and Windows update several times. I'll take the chance to back up all user data and look at the reinstallation of Windows 7.

Thank you very much for your time.

    Kind regards

  • Inspiron 560 does not start after the new mobo

Yes, it's the same model mobo.

  • Upgrading the graphics card for Inspiron 560

I want to improve my video card, so I can play Diablo III on my computer but I don't know which ones will work with that PC.  All of the suggestions.  This is a link to recommended for the game cards.

    https://us.battle.NET/support/en/article/Diablo-III-supported-video-cards

I don't want to buy one, if it does not work.  Any help is appreciated.

You don't have to a 300 watt power supply with the unit of stock, take into account when it passes a video card unless you're going to upgrade the PSU also.  7750 HD is the best to get without changing your diet, as suggested, and his performance is between the HD 6750 and HD 6770.  The list just does not show the new 7000 series AMD cards or 600 series Nvidia cards.  With the 7750 HD, you will have a card in the category high performance.  You certainly don't want one of these old maps of low performance.

  • Need Compatible printer for Dell Inspiron 560

I wonder if someone can help me please, I tried to work backwards (from my ink) to find a printer for my office with no luck and am at my wits end. I got a HP PSC (printer/scanner/copier) when I got my HP desktop computer, but then I upgraded to my current Dell a few years before and never hang upward my printer I have he didn't need right now. Time passed, and I tried to print, but got an error saying that it has not been installed; I remembered that I never installed on this Dell PC when I unpacked & set up. I soon discovered that it was "not compatible" and of course, that was after (it appears) I had just bought new ink for the printer, so now he is sitting with the new ink (already open so cannot return) and unable to connect to my Dell. I looked everywhere for updates or driver updates etc, but no luck & finally HP told me that there is no way that they are compatible. He uses ink (black & tricolor) #21 & #22 cartridges so now I'm trying to find a printer that is not only compatible with my Dell but that also uses the full/new ink cartridges I have. I'd appreciate any help someone can offer, I can't afford to just buy a new printer on the site for those who work are fine, I just need to get an idea of who will work so then I know what I can get. Thank you!

I had the impression of working with a driver/support/upgrade download updated os, thank you for your answers.
