Inspiron 14z upgrade to Windows 10 - device issues

In the newly deployed GetWindows10 application, there is an option to 'Check PC' - when I chose this option on my Inspiron 14z, I get:

Windows 10 will work on this PC

This PC can be improved, but there may be some problems.

Devices of

These devices are not completely compatible with Windows 10

AMD Radeon HD 7570 M (with an icon beside it bluetooth?)

You're going to have problems with your screen

These devices may not work properly after the upgrade

Bluetooth Server (with the same bluetooth icon)

Intel Corporation

I am not inclined to be updated if it will translate into problems with my screen OR my bluetooth. Any change that Dell is going to release updated drivers to solve these problems? Other options?

Unfortunately, we received no list of systems Dell will make drivers for installed hardware.

  • Windows 7 upgrade of Windows 8 (license issue)

I've updated from Windows 7 to Windows 8 using the upgrade package (download version). I would like to install the Windows 7 OS on another PC, that aloud?

Thank you both for your quick responses. The Windows 7 operating system is a commercial version. Yes, as far as I understand. If I had to re - install the Windows at some point, I need the operating system Windows 7 first, before I can upgrade to Windows 8.

Well, that depends, if you were to format the drive, Yes, you will need to reinstall Windows 7 first then repeat the upgrade to Windows 8.

You can reinstall Windows 8 using the following method if:

    · Press the Windows key + i on your keyboard to show the charms (if you use a touch screen: touch the right edge of your screen and drag your finger to the left)

    · Click settings

    · Click change PC settings

    · Click general in the left column

    · In virtue remove all and reinstall Windows, click Start

Then follow instructions that will be provided on the screen to reinstall Windows on your PC.

It would also mean I could install the upgrade of Windows 8 on another machine if I wanted to and then just leave the other PC with operating system Windows 7 above.

    That is right.

Reason being, is that my colleague does not fit on Windows 8 so maybe in the future I re - install Windows 7 on my PC of colleagues and use the upgrade of Windows 8 (hoping that I can not download this again since the MS Store) on my Lap Top that I would use.

As long as the license of Windows 7 is re-installed, you are free to transfer the Windows 8 upgrade elsewhere. You can always reinstall it by returning to the reception of your e-mail when you made your purchase or:

Go to the order summary page, you can find your product key:

    https://www.mswos.com/

You can download it from there and use your product key to upgrade:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-GB/Windows-8/upgrade-product-key-only

Is also accepted, or is the upgrade license tied to the machine on which I originally upgraded Windows 8?

No, as long as the license of Windows 8 is removed from the machine, you can transfer it to another machine.

  • Option 'search automatically' upgrade of Windows 7 device driver fails immediately

I guess I'm really test the features of Windows 7 that I'm running it on a desktop PC's old, slow, and my access (due to overfishing) Internet was cut up to 64 Kbps (8bKps)!

(And it's fast!  Time to shut-down/re-start is incredibly faster than XP even.)

Having said that I did several times with Windows XP and Vista, I install Windows, and then plug a USB Wi - Fi dongle and access the Internet through that.  I then right-click on my other devices/Ethernet Controller (of which a driver has not automatically been installed) and select software update of the driver...  It worked without problem - on XP and Vista.

I did the same with Win7 RC today and am surfing the Internet without problem (if a little slow).  However, the option "Automatically search for an updated driver" takes but ½ second to respond with an error "Windows cannot find driver software for your device".  It does not seem able to verify the (entirely functional, but slow) Internet at all.

The previous screen said, "Windows will search your computer and the Internet for the latest version of the software driver for your device, UNLESS YOU have DISABLED THIS FEATURE IN the SETTINGS of INSTALLATION of YOUR UNIT."    This is a new installation, and I did not knowingly put such an option (with XP there was once a choice 'always check Internet Internet/check this time only').

It's a matter of waiting period (half a second? or another bug of pre - release?)

Until someone said, yes I could download the drivers on the C: drive and point the app update driver there, but it is not the purpose of this; also some people may use Win7 dial-up modem access... ;-)

    Thank you!

    See you soon,.

  • dv5-1010us upgrade to Windows 7 sequence issue

I have a laptop dv5-1010us under Vista Home Premium. I bought Windows 7 Professional and want to upgrade. My question is of two parts: (1) should I upgrade all the drivers available for Windows 7 compatible versions before upgrading the operating system or after? and (2) is there a HP Web site that shows all the drivers that must be updated for my laptop model and allows me to download?

    32-bit Windows drivers:
    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?OS=4062&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3753629

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?OS=4063&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3753629

When upgrading the operating system to Windows 7, Windows 7 automatically updates the necessary drivers. However, I would suggest that you run before Windows Upgrade Advisor try the upgrade:

  • Dell Inspiron 14Z 5423 windows 10 start-up questions?

    Hello

I've updated my laptop (inspiron 14Z 5423) to windows 10 July 29. After the upgrade, wifi wifi settings and options don't appear in the settings menu. I tried to run the dell diagnostic tools but all results are reported as 'past' (how could it happen?..) and I thought it might be due to driver problems and tried to re - install the wifi drivers. to my surprise, I couldn't find the drivers on the dell site and after making "detect label service for the driver update." ... He says that drivers are up to date.

So... after the disappointment full... I have restored my OS on windows 8.1 and everything worked fine. Once August 1st... a menu jump on my cell phone saying... .your laptop computer is good to upgrade as the team tested DELL and no sign of any problems... blah blah. I thought that maybe this time the upgrade can run and updated my OS... and again disappointed to notice that wifi has not detected in windows 10. .the without option... I tried the "Reset" option in windows 10 to clean install.

This time wifi worked and I am happy and 'sound' has not detected. Yet once ran all the dell diagnostics... all the results show 'passes '. Tried to download the dell sound card drivers... dell site but I could not see anything in the site

When running the tests in the start menu... I met error blue screen and then my laptop could not start and I heard only 3 beeps?

Tried to reset the button located under the latoptop... but no use. All other users 14Z facing the same issue?

  • 3 years HP Touchsmart 520-1: Windows 7 to Windows 10 device compatibility issue

As a first step of the upgrade to Windows 10, the system was analyzed to ensure compatibility. A message came back that, "this PC will work with Windows 10. A device is not compatible. »

Incompatible device is the virtual wireless Broadcom, as well as the message, "You might not be able to connect to the internet", so I abandoned the upgrade to Windows 10.

iTOK (remote support) told me it was a known issue for HP and some Dell computers have the same problem. iTOK told me that I need to replace the wireless card.

Best guys the Geek Squad guy said I should just download the latest driver for the wireless card.

I tried to download the driver on the HP website. I got the message, "your system does not meet the minimum requirements for this update. Update has been canceled (9996). »

Is this a known issue? How can it be resolved?

I'm sure that Microsoft will ask you to contact the manufacturer.

As far as I know generic drivers will be used by Windows to run the component. Later, you can use the Windows 8 drivers and update the drivers manually.

  • No sound on Inspiron 17R 5720 after Windows 10 upgrade

Anyone know if there's new audio drivers for an Inspiron computer 17R laptop (5720) [age 2013]?

I "upgraded" to Windows 10 tonight, and now he can't use it installed drivers. The drivers are included, but it is said that they can not be used for a reason, so I have no sound. None.

So far between that and the constant crashing of applications, this 'upgrade' feels more like a HORRIBLE beta-test the software.

I may want my Windows 8.1 back if this continues.

UPDATE: Windows update solved my problem this evening and found new drivers for audio but also video.

Let your computer look for the updates of Windows drivers. If this does not work, I had just found this thread and spoke to try it before my problem was corrected automatically:

NOTE: Here, you have two options. 1: (AMD HD Audio controllers) and 2: (Audio device high definition)

NEXT: make a right click on the (high definition Audio Device) and click (driver update) a second box opens:

NEXT: Click the Option at the bottom (browse my computer for driver software) opens another box.

NEXT: Click on the bottom option (to let me pick from a list of devices on my computer) another box opens.

NEXT: options (model): click (HIGH DEFINITION AUDIO DEVICE), and then click Next.

You should hear sound from your speakers. Good luck because I know how you feel.

I hope it works for you, as it worked for me bcause I was really disappointed until someone here left a message which I can't find for the life of me. "

  • Audio / Microphone on Laptop Inspiron 15 computer laptop does not not after upgrade to Windows 10

I have an Inspiron 15 bought mid 2013 with Windows 8 and little used. I just upgraded to Windows 10 and the upgrade was quick and easy.

Since the update the microphone at full volume can barely be heard (my contacts on Skype hear me at all).

I tried to install the latest driver of Realtech and also for this device, the Microsoft driver, but makes no difference; I'll be back now the driver original waiting to get some tips.

It seems that it is a common problem with Windows 10 because there are many similar problems, broadcast on the Microsoft support forums.

Someone at - it a solution please?   Waiting ;-)

    Graham

You are not alone because apparently many of us have this problem. Short term solution is to change the driver from Realtek to the generic Microsoft HD Audio Device in Device Manager. The long-term solution will take Dell Realtek + Microsoft to acknowledge the problem and fix the drivers.

The above didn't solve it for me. Someone else had the same problem

  • Blutooth 365 is not found on Dell Inspiron 1545 with upgrade to Windows 7

I had a 365 blutooth on my Dell Inspiron 1545 running in Windows Vista. I've upgraded to Windows 7, and now Windows 7 can not find it. It is activated when I pass by the system put in place... How can I find it on windows 7? When I push the button on my keyboard it turn on and off, I see the symbol but the symbol does not appear in the taskbar.

    Hi Andieb102,

Check if your bluetooth is listed in Device Manager .
If it is not, you see any exclaimation mark on this subject?
The first step I would have you to do is to run the Hardware Troubleshooter .

    Step 2:
Because the Dell 365 bluetooth adapter requires no additional software after the upgrade to Windows 7 (it should do this automatically). In the event that it fails to update itself automatically, I suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the bluetooth card.

Uninstall the bluetooth device manager card drivers and reinstall the same.

    To uninstall the Device Manager,

    1. click on start, type device manager in the search box of start and press ENTER.
2 locate the device and expand the same.
    3. Select the bluetooth adapter, right click and select uninstall.
4 restart the computer, if prompted.

Pilots should settle automatically after the computer restarts.

Note: Before uninstalling the drivers from Device Manager, make sure that you have a backup installation files.
    Step 3:

Sometimes, once you upgrade your operating system, some services will be disabled automatically. I would like to you can check if ' Bluetooth Support Service ' is disabled. If it is disabled, enable it.

You can find this service by going to:

    1. start
    2 Control Panel
    3. Administrative Tools
    4 services
    5. Select 'Bluetooth Support Service' and set it to automatic.

  • Inspiron 1464 bluetooth does not work after upgrade to windows 8

After windows upgrade 8 I couldn't find the bluetooth and the driver for windows 7 does not work... pls help

    Hi Deepak,

Thanks for posting your query in the Microsoft community!
I understand your concern and know it must be very frustrating. I will guide you on this.

I suggest you to download and install the latest drivers for chipset/Bluetooth from the manufacturer's website. If there is no windows drivers 8, then install Windows 7 drivers in compatibility mode and check.

Follow the steps to run in compatibility mode:

    Method 1:

    (a) access to the start screen

    (b) press Windows key + C on your keyboard to show the charms (if you have a touch screen: touch the right edge of your screen and slide your finger to the center of the screen to display the bar of charms)

    (c) search for Troubleshooting, click settings in the right-hand column.

    (d) click on troubleshooting. Click run programs made for previous versions of Windows

    (e) click on Next, select not listed. Click Next

    (f) click Browse and select the driver file you downloaded.

    (g) click on Next, click program troubleshooting

    (h) check the program worked in earlier versions of Windows but won't install or run now

    (i) click next , select the latest OS known functional for this (probably Windows 7 driver

    (j) click Next

See the link which is shown below:

    http://www.Dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/product/Inspiron-1464

    Method 2:

I also suggest you to visit the links listed below.
