Install a new ACS 5.1 - something missing

I'm trying to work through my first installation 5.1 ACS and am missing something somewhere. My plan is to get the basic features of working with an internal user before tackling the interfacing with AD or LDAP. I want to use ACS for the following...

Access to AAA for admins and others that support the switches and routers

802. 1 x for users that connect to the switch ports

I work through the User Guide and configs sample that I can find the ORC and don't think that I'm doing wrong with the learning curve. I hope that I can expose how far I've got so far and where it seems to be stuck. I don't know there is simple somethig I'm mising.

I created the 1st floor 2nd floor under network resources and locations: groups of network devices. I created two types of switches and routers to the title of network resources: network device groups. I've added instruments under network resources: network devices and the AAA Clients. I created two groups Admin and ReadOnly under users and identity stores: identity groups. I have a user created under users and identity store: internal identity store: users and it is part of all the groups: Admin.

Under policy elements: authorization and permissions > peripheral Administration > profile Shell, I created two profiles. Priv15 with default privilege and both active and both change the maximum value of 15. Priv1 has only the default privilege enabled with a level of 1. I created ReadWrite, ReadOnly and restricted under elements of the policy: authorization and permissions > peripheral Administration > command sets. I activated the permit any command in the table to the left and ReadWrite disabled for others. I placed permit sh * as a starter for the set ReadOnly command.

I can't know how to associate this with an access policy. I think it's the next step? I think I need to add a policy through access policies: Access Services > Default Device Admin permission to tie these pieces together. Is there a correlation between what is placed here and orders placed in the switch AAA? that is, just go with the default name of the rule 1, rule 2, etc. or specilfy somethng more descriptive?

I think that once I have a bacic place and make it work that I can add something more complex. Most of the samples I've pulled out of EAC were older versions and all screenshots are completely different. I also have not found anything a complete example. I use the following on the switch and seem to have some success. At least, I'm invited to the user name and password.

Rule names can be anything you want. They will appear in the list in the order in which they are created, but you can change this by highlighting a rule and then moving upwards or downwards using the controls at the bottom of the window displaying the rules. Rules are evaluated top to bottom and first match wins, so take this into account to decide on the criteria for each rule and its position on the list.

Note the button 'Customize' on the lower right part of the list of rule window, click on it to add more items to the list of available criteria.

    I'm sorry, you get an error message with your cartridge.  Sometimes there is a problem with the electrical connections and this can be fixed by rubbing and replace the cartridge.

    You have 35% of your hard drive free. It's disk space, also called
    storage. It is not memory, what is RAM. Adding memory will not make
    any changes to the available disk space.

    Thank you for your message.  To clarify, you are able to print out your design program?  You can try to perform a clean boot and printing of your design program.  A clean boot will start your computer without any 3rd party applications, you can then start your design software and test the printing functionality.  If you are able to print, the problem may be caused by another application of part 3.  Click HERE for instructions to boot.

    Before installing kindly, restart the machine and then rename the folder in C:\Program Files (x 86) OOBE \Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp as OOBE_OLD

    The mobile fact have separate start-up and data readers?  If so and the boot drive has limited space, you may want to consider relocation of things like bridges on the data disk cache.  I can't think another thing to consider from the start, however.

    I really hope that someone can help me because I'm going out of my mind trying to install a new OS on my Portege 3110CT

    So far, I've tried Windows 98, 98SE, and 2000, I can get them all to install via a back of the PCMCIA card driver, I found but missing some plug-and-play driver installation at the end of the installation. But once installed I can not get the PCMCIA card recognized in windows and I can't get my display to fill the screen. I tried to update the drivers supplied by Toshiba, but none of them work

    I tried to copy the contents of the CD to a second partition on my hard drive and install from there too

    Whenever I try to update the drivers it always says that it has found a better in windows files and uses it.

    I lived all the forums and tried the suggested methods, but I have to do something wrong. The accompanying disk does not work either.

    One thing that I did not, it is to update my bios because I have never done this and I'm not sure to leave my PCMCIA card is plugged in, but I read that I have to so that the bios to recognize.

  • Operating system does not (error) after installing a new power supply

    My Thermaltake 480 ran only 2, 6V on the 3, 3V line and gave me problems with my screen. I installed a new 500W Thermaltake now my OS will not charge.  Enter the bios isn't a problem. But then I get a normal system beep and error loading OS.

    I was extremely careful about static electricity. All cables are connected properly as far as I know. When I turned on the switch on the back of food, my computer immediately without pushing me the normal power button in front of the computer. I have been concerned about a power surge when it happened and maybe it's the cultrit?

    In addition to losing some files (please no speech backup), I hate having to reinstall my OS and must go through installing all my programs.

    There is no way that a new PS should affect your boot process, if it is installed correctly. Back in the PC and check all of your connections. You have either loose something in, connected it backwards or completely missed. If necessary, disconnect everything and start again.

    When you go into the BIOS, your hard drives and optical appear actually? They appear on the screen of your POSITION (if it is not disabled in the BIOS)?

I understand I'm missing some drivers but I rebooted the computer, but it goes to the black screen asking you to start in safe mode, safe mode with network, normally and something else. But after trying all of them, it goes straight to this same screen. What can I do? Or I can clear the new hard drive and start over? Any ideas?

    My hard drive has bad sectors which (according to Spinrite) is not repairable.  I also ran all the HP utilities who tell me that the hard drive needs to be replaced.  So, I bought a new one that is the same size and the brand as what exists currently in my laptop.

    Laptop is HDX16 that came with Vista.  I upgraded to Win7 before realizing that my Imaging backups were a failure due to bad sectors.  The last good picture I have with Shadow Protect is the system with Vista and is now 3 weeks old.  Meanwhile, I use Norton Security backup feature to back up all my files on a daily basis.   I noticed yesterday that Win7 has a built-in backup feature imagery so decided to see if she would complete successfully and he did.  So now, I have a picture of the Win7 installation as well.

    I did system recovery disks for my laptop.  If I read information of HP correctly, when I run the restore, it will automatically create the partitions C & D on the new drive, install the recovery disk D environment and continues to run since that installation of Vista hard disk?  If so, once the operating system is running on the hard drive again, I think I can then move to Win7 yet and then use the recovery feature to copy the image, I made yesterday to the laptop.  Is this correct?  Am I missing something?

    Otherwise, my other option would be to run the recovery discs, then use the Shadow protect recovery disks to copy the old image of 3 weeks, then switch to Win7 again and somehow find all the files I have created/changed over the last 3 weeks I want to keep and they copy to the laptop?

    Any suggestions appreciated because this is the first time I installed a new hard drive.

    It may be faster to simply restore the image of Windows 7 that you have created the new hard - to do this, you'll need to the Image and a Windows 7 repair CD (you should have been prompted to do this after you have created the Image of the system).  The link below is a guide detailing how to restore an Image of Windows 7 on a new hard drive.
