Install programs designed for earlier operating systems

I am trying to install XP from Keyscapes LT Pro version on my new Windows 7 64 bit desktop. Although I read about editing compatibility etc, I can't even program to load from the DVD player. I can see the "Troubleshooting" will allow to run, but I can't do that without the disc loading program, and I seem to be unable to even perform this step.  Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance

Explore the cd, rt click on the configuration file, and then select the compatibility options

But if its actually schedule it a 16 bit used to run natively on a 64-bit operating system without using the emulator software.

If your version of win7 Pro or Ultimate you can install virtual MS winxp, install in this environment
