  Yes, you can reinstall Windows 7 OEM System Builder License on the new hard drive with the new processor.

  I test the upgrade of R12 and I have a question about the installation of the software stack R12 before the actual upgrade time. Example: Install the software of R12 one end of week and then start and perform the upgrade real next weekend. My concern is the fact that the installation of R12 runs autoconfig. Our plan is to install even the name of the instance database SID, port pool, etc. as the existing 11i instance but naturally to install R12 pile in a separate file system (in our case an appltop shared) which would be completely separate from the pile of tech 11i, oraInventory. I know it works because I've been there before, but my concern is that when R12 running autoconfig, it creates an entry for each application server in the service of autoconfiguration tables so now you have two, one for autconfig 11i and R12 autoconfig. It is clear by looking at the service of automatic configuration of OAM page. I not had problems in my preliminary testing doing this except that I found that it is best to stop the applications when you run installation R12 because the autoconfig part will get additional errors because of the ports being used because of the pool of local port. My question is what others have done this R12 installation before the actual upgrade period in the same way and if so any problem come upwards with the instance of 11i which must be available and in production for the time between installation R12 and the actual start of the upgrade? Hope it makes sense.

  I work for Oracle and am considered an expert in the upgrade as I did upgrades of Applications since version 9.

  This is the method that I use every time I have to perform an upgrade. You must have your 11i completely stop instance to perform the installation, so that the ports are not in conflict, and the installation does not update your 11i instance at all.

  by default, 12.1.1 comes from oracle database 11g.
  
  There are basically 2 problems:
  1 instalation for R12 with oracle 10 g
  2 instalation on different nodes
  
  as I read through the forums, for installation on different nodes, you must first install R12 on the database node, then take the config_SID.txt file to the applications node, and then install r12 with this config file. but there are two other issues:
  1. I do full instalation R12 on the database node, and then install complete on the node applications with the config file?
  2. the instalation is done always with database 11 g... but we want database 10 g.

  You don't have to remove all files, in fact, when you install the database on the database layer node fast install will not lay any of enforcement on this node (provided that you choose do not have enforcement on this node when you answer the question in fast Windows Installer). So, you should eventually have the database files and the ORACLE_HOME database on the DB layer node, then quick installation will allow to install the application files on the nodes of level APPS and application services.

  Try the steps below to uninstall the existing entries to printer and software.

  Note: Make sure that the printer is not connected to the PC by USB.

  1. Press Win + R to open a window to RUN.
  2. in the window RUN, type %temp%
  3. Opens a window of time, and you will see a list of file names starting with 7z...
  4. Open who has the printer name in it, and then look for the name of the folder UTIL > CCC,
  5. then search for uninstall L3.bat and double-click it to run it.

  Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the PC.

  Now run the HP printer Installation Wizard to install the printer s/w.

  VMWare/Guest OS - Windows XP
  Version - 11.5.10.2
  
  R12 Details-
  VMWare/Guest OS - Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.3
  Version - 12.1.1
  
  Everything works fine on the VMWare OS application and database (sqlplus).
  
  The problem is that I am not able to connect to the data base (11i/R12) from the host machine. I am successfully able to run the application from the host machine after you put the entry in the file "hosts".
  
  To connect to the database, I have installed the Oracle 9i on the host machine client and put the entry in the TNSNAMES file. ORA generated by 11i/R12, but even in doing so I am not able to connect to the database.
  
  Is there a way I can connect to the database (installed on VMWARE) of the HOST Machine.
  
  I've seen a single installation on VMWARE, where we are able to connect to the database from the HOST machine.

  I have installed Oracle Apps R12 VMware Windows of an Institute.

  I have a small doubt in it. I am not able to use $APPL_TOP (% APPL_TOP %) or $AU_TOP(%AU_TOP%) like that. Average environmental variables are not defined as UNIX.

  Can someone help me please to set these environment variables.

  EBS r12 software needs to be installed on the vmware machine prior to EBS r12 DB can be clone on it?
  
  Can we clone EBS r12 database by restoring fair EBS DB files or through rman on the vmware that has just installed RHEL 6.

  You must copy all applications and files nodes of level database from the source to the target servers-this is already explained/mentioned in the documents mentioned above.
