Install the same R12 software instance even port pool, etc.
I test the upgrade of R12 and I have a question about the installation of the software stack R12 before the actual upgrade time. Example: Install the software of R12 one end of week and then start and perform the upgrade real next weekend. My concern is the fact that the installation of R12 runs autoconfig. Our plan is to install even the name of the instance database SID, port pool, etc. as the existing 11i instance but naturally to install R12 pile in a separate file system (in our case an appltop shared) which would be completely separate from the pile of tech 11i, oraInventory. I know it works because I've been there before, but my concern is that when R12 running autoconfig, it creates an entry for each application server in the service of autoconfiguration tables so now you have two, one for autconfig 11i and R12 autoconfig. It is clear by looking at the service of automatic configuration of OAM page. I not had problems in my preliminary testing doing this except that I found that it is best to stop the applications when you run installation R12 because the autoconfig part will get additional errors because of the ports being used because of the pool of local port. My question is what others have done this R12 installation before the actual upgrade period in the same way and if so any problem come upwards with the instance of 11i which must be available and in production for the time between installation R12 and the actual start of the upgrade? Hope it makes sense.I work for Oracle and am considered an expert in the upgrade as I did upgrades of Applications since version 9.
This is the method that I use every time I have to perform an upgrade. You must have your 11i completely stop instance to perform the installation, so that the ports are not in conflict, and the installation does not update your 11i instance at all.

updated Windows SP1 downloaded fine, but I still get notified to install the same thing over and over again... What's new.
Hello
I understand that you are warned to install the update even repeatedly. I'll be happy to help you with this problem.
(1) did you do changes on the computer before this problem?
(2) you have Service Pack 1 installed on your computer successfully?
(3) are you advised to re - install the Service Pack 1 update again?
(4) you receive an error message when you try to install Service Pack 1?

How can I install the same printer twice?
How can I install the same printer twice, with different printer for each preferences? I got my printer configured this way with my old Win XP system, but can't find a way to do it with Windows 7.
I do it all the time. The devices folder and printer stacks multiple instances on the same device on top of the first unit (since it's the same device). If you have Pro or Ultimate, you can use the UI created by the spooler, printmanagement.msc team, to manage your local printers. The former team of spooler printers folder is also around, but it's really hidden.
This command will launch the printers (no authorized device) folder

Cannot install the drivers and software for HP Deskjet 5650
I removed most of the HP entries to my printer from the Start Up. Since then I have not been able to get the Printer Wizard to start. Recently, I uninstalled everything related to the printer from Add Remove programs. Since that time I tried to install my HP drive. It comes up with the error that the software does not support my operating system. My operating system is Windows XP Home Edition SP3. The software is looking for Windows XP. I downloaded the drivers and software from HP. When it runs, it starts very well. For some reason, it isn't detecting my printer. After you select how the printer is connected to the computer and the connection at the same time the software tries to finish, but he comes up with an error and says it cannot complete the installation. I am able to install the drivers, but when I try to install the drivers and software is when the error appears. How can I fix? It would be nice to use the wizard for printer hp again.
I found the solution to my problem. Before I could install the software and drivers for my printer that I had to remove completely all the software and the printer driver. Here's what I used to delete the printer driver. Restarting my PC after removing the printer driver has been the most important step. Everything works fine now.

If I buy windows 8 (any OS windows) now and install in my computer and after a year when I change my computer, can I install the SAME operating system in the new computer?
You can if you buy a commercial box full of Windows 8 version.
If you buy a computer with Windows preinstalled, or a version OEM of Windows 8, 8 No, you can't.
If you buy a version upgrade, you can, as long as the new computer has a licensed version earlier of Windows on them.
