  I guess you are trying to install the driver LAN WXP because Vista LAN driver is not available. Am I wrong?

  In any case:
  -Create a new folder on your desktop
  -extract all downloaded files here
  -Open Device Manager and right-click on device unknown you want to install
  -choose Properties
  -find the Install driver button
  -Click on it and go to the new folder created
  -Follow the on-screen menu

  Uninstall Toshiba Stack, reboot, install Bluetooth Monitor 2 (I copy the files needed to C:\Toshiba\MS_Bluetooth), restart.
  After that, windows wants to install Toshiba RFBUS for which I have no drivers.
  There is no way to enter the windows bluetooth [not this control in the Options panel] settings.

  DeepBlue is quite right. All Satellite A100 units are not delivered with BT on board. Please see the bottom of your laptop. If BT is available you will find a small stick of BT.

  yesterday, I received the laptop from a friend of mine.
  He had a troyan horse program, so we decided to install everything again. We use the product recovery CD for the Installation of XP, then 'Tools & Utilities CD Rom', but there are now a few problems:

  the following things are listed with a "?" in the Device Manager:

  Ethernet controller (PCI Bus 0, device 27, function 0)
  mass storage controller (Bus PCI 7, device 6, function 2)
  network controller (PCI-Streckplatz 9 (Bus: 5 PCI, device 0, function 0))
  PCI device (Bus PCI 7, device 6, function 3)
  PCI device (PCI Bus 0, device 27, function 0)
  videocontroller (VGA compatible) (6 PCI-outlet (Bus PCI 1, device 0, function 0))

  on the CD are drivers for nvidia, I installed them, you can find it in the softwarelist, but I can't the solution what luck that any other then 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768

  After I installed all the software from the cd rom, I got a message that hkdrv - this driver is absent with Everest there is no listed grafic card, so I can watch, if there is an ATI or Nvidia card in Notepad
  I looked throug google and guides toshiba helf, downloaded all the drivers and updates here, but nothing changes

  The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite A100-691 model N°-PSAA9E-09800QGR

  Why have you tried to install the nvidia drivers? The Satellite A100 has an ATI Radeon X 1400 graphics card and an Intel chipset, so you n t need stuff or drivers from nvidia.

  I think that you have installed a lot of drivers, which are not necessary. So in your case I would reinstall the laptop again and if you use the recovery disk, you n t need any driver more.

  If you need drivers, look at the Toshiba site: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com
  There is also the Installation Instructions the software and drivers are recommended.

• Impossible to install the LAN Driver on Satellite A100 PSAANE

  Recently, I removed my PSAAN A100 for reasons of performance of Vista and installed XP. So far so good.
  All devices are doing well except the Ethernet LAN. Here I am not able to install the driver, although I downloaded the driver OK with the correct inf file of the Page of the Toshiba Service, unpacked in the new folder. Then I chose this folder when trying to install this driver, but I've always had the statement: cannot install blah blah blah.
  Then I found with Everest that there could be an Intel PRO/100 VE network onboard connection. So I installed this driver, but XP told me, that the machine could not be started.
  What now? There may be someone who knows a solution?

  You have an Intel LAN card, but you may have enough to install a bad driver.
  Toshiba page offers two LAN drivers;

  Driver Intel Ethernet LAN 1000 Pro 9.2.24
  Driver Intel LAN Ethernet 100 Pro 8.0.43.0

  Please check once again which LAN chip has been included and choose the correct driver.

  Unfortunately there no document on this subject because the HARD drive upgrade is dealer so-called option, and because of this, there is no specific info on the upgrade of the HARD drive. According to the specifications of the laptop, this laptop model comes with 20 GB of HARD drive.

  I'm sure you can use 40 or 60 GB without any problems. About 80 GB I won't speculate, but maybe someone has already tested and will post here in the next few days.

  I just installed Windows XP SP2 on my Satellite. I did a backup driver CD with my recovery CD. Now, here's my problem:

  I followed the Installation Instructions and each device works fine, except my audio driver, I also have an unknown PCI device. I expect that the PCI device is the problem for my work not driver Sound. Maybe someone knows an answer to this problem.

  I guess that the audio driver has not been installed correctly and so the sound doesn't work on the laptop. I think the unknown PCI device is the sound card.

  I put t know how you installed the audio driver, but I recommend you download the latest version of the Toshiba page, then install the audio driver in Device Manager.

  It is difficult to say if the 500 GB will work in this good old classic... I think that 250GB should be sufficient for all applications you want to install.

  However, you could try the 500 GB. If it doesn t work you can bring back to your computer store or you can test it directly in the shop. Then you'll know if it of an option for you or not. Be creative! ;)

  The European driver Toshiba page provides BIOS BIOS for Vista and XP.
  Both versions of the BIOS must be completed while the operating system is running!
