  If the SFC was not able to repair files then the best thing to do is to reinstall Windows.  You can try running a disk error check, if it fixes all of the problems, and then rerun the SFC and then install and run the System Update tool.  If there is still a problem with the SFC nto be able to complete then you should do a reinstall.

  It seems to be a problem with the hardware. I suggest you try to uninstall and reinstall the CD/DVD driver and check if it helps.

  Follow the steps to uninstall and re-install the drivers.

  The original hard drive on my old book of 8 Windows Pavillion G6-2320 3 months crashed and I sent to HP and got the replacement of the hard drive (laptop still under warranty). (I had originally bought my own replacement hard drive and had error messages so chatted with online support who took care of the hard drive replacement confirmed that indeed one supplied with the laptop has been damaged)

  I went to F2 and test the hard drive. Everything was made. Help please!

  You will need to call HP support and ordering of a set of recovery disc for your model in order to install the operating system and the programs provided with your laptop.

  HP is not delivered replacement hard drives pre-configured with any software.

  They should also ship you the free of charge from the PC recovery discs is still under warranty.

• Problems after installing the second SATA drive in Windows 7

  I just install a second SATA hard drive in Windows 7. Currently, I use only a processor AMD Athlon X 2 4800 with 3 GB of RAM, Windows 7 64 - bit, installed on a 400 GB Samsung SATA drive and have two (a pioneer and a Liteon) DVD burners.

  System worked fine until I put in the new drive. Previously, I had hung as such discs: SATA1 was the existing 400Go drive, SATA2 and 3 were two DVD burners (don't ask me why, I have 2, will remove one of them, if that's the problem).

  Installed the new HARD in the SATA4 drive. Booted up, saw the new drive in the BIOS, but Windows does not see it until I went to disk management, a drive letter assigned and formatted etc. Also, I swapped the drive letters so I had all of the HARD drive (I have my 400 GB split into two readers via the partition) and C: D: E: F: and G:, DVD players.

  Started, began to transfer data from D: to the new E:, and Windows crashes. No message error, everything freezes. Need to reset, and then allow Windows to check for errors etc. Return to Windows, same case again. I swapped the SATA cables so that SATA1 and 2 are the HARD drives and SATA3 and 4 are DVD players. Reboot, same case.

  What I am doing wrong? Or what should I do? I don't even have to start the transfer of data I just let WIndows running for 2 minutes and it automatically hangs again.

  If someone could help me as soon as POSSIBLE please, it would be fantastic. Thank you!

  I've been in contact with the provider, and Yes, that will take it back for Exchange.   I recommend trying a clean boot to see if maybe parts of the Live Essentials are running in the background. Try this:
  1. click on START

  2 type "msconfig" (without the quotes) and press enter

  3. go to the "Startup" tab and uncheck all the entries displayed

  4. click on 'Apply' at the bottom right

  5 restart your computer
  Then try to update of Live Messenger. If this does not resolve the problem, try to force - remove the application by Windows Installer Cleanup Utility (WICU)

  2. download the file to your computer, run the package and install the utility

  I ran several times automated convenience store. It corrects all but one of the problems found. It is said: problems installing updates, not been resolved in the report.

  I tried to restart the computer, but that did not help either.
