Installation of Acrobat on Windows 7.0

I have been using Acrobat Professional 7.0, but when I tried to install it on my new computer with Windows 7.0, told me that it is not compatible.  How can I get Acrobat to work/get an upgrade?

Hi vlo2368,

For Acrobat 7 activation server no more exists.

Please refer to this document KB error: "Activation Server unavailable". CS2, Acrobat 7, Audition 3 to work around.

However there may be a problem of compatibility Acrobat 7 is not tested on Windows 7, if it is not possible to predict how the application will behave in an incompatible environment.

Kind regards

Nicos

    Hi MICHAEL CROUSE,

DC Acrobat is installed using setup.exe through the command line (and not through the Exception Deployer tool) before you run the MSI CCP and if necessary for the deployment of other applications exception, run the Application deployer of Exception. • Error 28000 (licensing module does not have) on the installation of Acrobat DC.

I receive the error 28000 (licensing module does not have) on the installation of Acrobat DC. The installation is on a new computer Windows 10 Pro. Installation was attempted at the start using Dell's digital delivery program, but have also tried installing after downloading directly from Adobe. I used the cleaning tool and tried to install it again with the same result. I tried installing using the administrator account with all services non - Microsoft Startup and antivirus disabled and received the same error message. I restored the system to a point before the initial setup attempt was made and tried to install it again and received the same error.

Workaround does not work and I wouldn't uninstall versions of work, existing software written for a demo of Adobe Acrobat DC. I can't recommend this purchase as an update to our existing software at this point. Which is pretty crappy, considering the version of Adobe Acrobat Pro, we did absolutely terrible work of converting PDF to other formats.

I was able to install by editing the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion, particularly this key: String: CommonFilesDir-> value: C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files

    Hello

I get the following error message when you use the Page convert to PDF module in Internet Explorer: "not able to access installation of Acrobat Capture Web. Acrobat may be busy or waiting for input. ».

I use Acrobat X (with latest updates) on Windows 8.1, 64-bit and IE 11 (both with all latest updates).

When I click on the button to convert the top of IE, I'm asked to select the file location and name.  When I click on save, I'm presented with this error.  The utility creates a file, but it is unreadable - opening it gives an error in Acrobat, saying that the file is not a supported file type and it was damaged.

I have seen this error in the forum and took the advice given to run the repair via Add/Remove programs.  I have run the repair and restarted twice, but to no avail.

I also uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled, but again, no luck.

Please let me know what to try next.

    Thank you

    Hi Jody,.

Please post on the Adobe forums.

Internet Explorer (and even other browsers) sometimes finiky when used with a program in administrator mode.

So, please right click on the Acrobat icon and choose ' properties > Compatibility tab "and uncheck the"Run this program as an administrator"option.

Let me know if this helps.

  • Adobe Acrobat Reader DC - failed to access Acrobat Capture Web installation. Acrobat may be busy or waiting for input

At Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro on Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 and used Internet Explorer 10 Version 10.0.9200.17414. In the upper RIGHT of IE, I had Adobe (plug-ins?) option to:

    Convert Web Page to PDF...

Add Web Page in existing PDF...

    Print the Web Page...

    etc.

I used the Web Page Add to... the daily option. I then installed, to fix a different problem, Adobe Acrobat Reader Version DC 2015.008.20082 (later from this post). Now, when I choose to add a Web Page in existing PDF... option, I get the error popup:

Unable to access the installation of Acrobat Capture Web. Acrobat may be busy or waiting for input.

I have searched the WWW of solutions but can't find one. Anyone has any potential ideas?

The free software Adobe Reader doesn't have these features. They are part of Acrobat (not free) - as far as I know; only with the Pro version.

There may be a PDF 'create' a web page associated with an Adobe online subscription services (perhaps PDF Pack).

    Be well...

  • deployment of Acrobat for Windows

I have deployed creative cloud for all the teams before you deploy Acrobat for Windows, do I need to uninstall any other package adobe?

    Hi cphhelp,

You don't need to uninstall. Just install Acrobat of Exception after the artcle: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/packager/using-exceptions-deployer.html.

However in the future, please follow the installation sequence below:

    1 acrobat of Exception first.

    2. build .msi

    3 Lightroom/muse of Exception

  • The Installation of Acrobat has failed repeatedly to 99% with exit code: 1603

The Installation of Acrobat CC XI always stops at 99%, I am a CC member, tried to download and install Apps anymore on a Windows 7-64 Bit-system using the installer-CC. Installation failed at 99%. I tried to download and install Acrobat again, same problem, no warning nor any info or the available log file. Finally had to close Setup CC and lost my download hereby had to begin again with the same result.

Four other CC-Apps could be dounloaded and installed successfully before. Need help!

    Adding / Addendum:

about 20 minutes later, after all he finally will display an info and an error code, as quoted below:

In addition: the installer CC soon inacceptably, it took an hour to get 10% of the download, and it wasn't because of the available bandwidth.

Have you checked the MS recommendations at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/834484 for this error? You log on as an administrator? You have disabled antivirus. Have you installed the rest of the CC and activated? CC and CS have a few special installation steps that are not part of Acrobat. You can check the CC forum for more information on the installation of Acrobat as part of the CC.

    Hello Ingo

Last days, we read more similar reports on the various problems after installing SP3. As far as I know that Toshiba has faced similar problems after SP2 release and updates were offered. The fact is that SP3 has a negative influence on the different drivers and Toshiba has designed tools and utilities.

For now, Toshiba has not any update and we need to see what will happen in the future. I always use SP2 and do not have similar problems on my laptop satellite.

Or you can live with it and wait for update or restore BONES on time earlier and remove SP3.
I see no solution at the moment.

  • Installation problem w / 10 Windows on end 2015 27 "iMac retina

I used boot camp and it installs windows 8.1 very well. When install updated to 10 from inside windows 8.1 windows or try a cleanup of 10 windows using boot camp, he gets at some point and I see a black screen and it does not go any further. Why Windows 8.1 installs fine, but not windows 10? I have the model with the hard disk of 1 TB in it.

I have the same model as you, and I just spend the whole day trying to solve that, more than an hour on the phone with Apple support. Here's what I learned.

Apple support agreed with me that the problem is most likely a bad display driver (AMD?) in the last set of drivers for Boot Camp. Unfortunately, Windows 10 compatibility for the end iMac to 2015 has been added only last month, so there would still be easily bugs in drivers. The result is that Windows is unable to turn on the display when the Boot Camp drivers are running, but cannot when the default system drivers are running. That's why we could still install Windows and boot to the desktop at the very first (until Boot Camp installed drivers).

Support has also suggested that the new update of El Capitan 10.11.2 could contribute to the bug, but he was not sure about it.

From my experience, the following will not solve the problem:

    • Reset the PRAM
    • Reinstalling Windows (bad drivers should I not get removed)
    • Using the Windows system restore
    • Install Parallels (you cannot yet touch the drivers)

The only remaining thay of possible solutions have been discussed on the phone are:

    • Enter Windows 10 safe mode (very difficult, unless you hard reboot and reset the PRAM repeatedly) and uninstall the graphics card drivers or install the latest AMD drivers
    • Remove your Windows partition reinstall from scratch and refuse installing Boot Camp drivers when it comes to the top

If you try one of these solutions, please let us know if it works.

And if someone could tell me please how to guarantee to be able to boot in SafeMode Windows 10, it would be greatly appreciated. For the record, F8 and SHIFT + F8 are very likely to work.

  • Why my TestStand deployment installation appear under my Windows will not start menu of my target machine?

Why my TestStand deployment installation appear under my Windows will not start menu of my target machine?

I managed to install the deployments of work to the target machines. However, I expected to see the classified facility "My TestStand system" in my Start menu, but it is not. Am I misunderstanding something here?

Also, if I do another target second deployment to the station as "My TestStand system B", all LabVIEW files in my previous installation for "My system TestStand" disappear from the directory (c:\Program Files\My TestStand system) target.

I use TestStand Professional 4.2.1 on Windows XP and LabVIEW 2009 development station.

    Thank you Paul,.

That solved my second problem and inspired me to look deeper for the response to my first problem. The answer lies in the tab 'distributed file","Installer properties' box 'create a program item:

Wouldn't be nice if it is automatically checked by default for main sequence files? Wouldn't also nice if "Upgrade Code" was regenerated automatically by default whenever we have saved the file *.tsd under another name?

    Thanks again,
