Installation of blackBerry Smartphones

I have a problem with the "Setup Wizard" or "Support facility" (I don't know the word in English: this is the app that is supposed to help you set up your new phone).

My problem is that when someone asks me to press the Menu button and then press the next button, I can't find the key "Next"... When I press the Menu key, there is a small Menu that appears in the middle of the screen but nothing more, it is all white...

Could someone help me?

And, this programme of assistance of the Installation is necessary or I could skip this part of the installation?

Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome to the forums! Merry Christmas!

Go back, it's a thing!

I'm just stuck in the same place as you did!

From the Manual:

"The Setup Wizard is designed to help you learn to type, change the options to customize.

your device of BlackBerry® and put in place one or more email addresses. »

Let us work with it and see why he's stuck.

Hello! I try Twitter installed on my BB. After installation, there is no any twitter in the menu icon. What is the problem? I tried to uninstall e re - install, but the application is not available.

    Thank you

You install the Twitter for BlackBerry App?

    1. on your home screen, press Menu > SHOW ALL, so that ALL DISPLAY is checked.
    2. look in EVERY folder on your device... Applications, instant messaging, downloads, etc.

If you don't see it still, look at the Options > advanced > Applications. Do you not see it listed there?

  • Contact information for installation of blackBerry Smartphones.

I recently purchased the Blackberry Torch; the numbers were transferred over my old Blackberry Pearl phone.

One of my many Contacts had NO code appearing in front of the 7 - digit telephone number.  I tried to text him and of course, she came back with the error message.  I went and edited the number to include the area code (made a 10-digit number) - and I still get the same error message.

I deleted this contact 3 times and entered its data with different names - but the same phone with all the 10 listed numbers - and I still get an error code when I text.  I just listed the number under the 'work' instead of 'mobile' - always impossible to send text.

I called him - no problem; He can call me - no problem; He can text me - no problem; I just can't text or make a text.

What is going on?  Does anyone have a solution for this?

    Smartphones Dang sure too!

OK, sounds similar to something that happened to me last week, I tried to call a number instead.

Look at your call history, by accessing your Messages folder > press Menu > folders > phone call logs and you will need find and remove all previous attempts to call this number.

Also, in the same place, watch sending SMS and delete all previous attempts of SMS.

Your device "to remember" and use these previous calls to that number as a story of several parameters and if you remove all the people, I would then do a full restart on the device, in this case > with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this way is prescirbed for most the gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

Now, after, you have removed all instances of old of the call/SMS and restarted, try again.

  • Installation application blackBerry Smartphones 9320 email missing Vodafone

    Hi all

I have a curve 9320 (best phone ever) using 7.1 1319 but can not get working internet mail. Info here any help would be fantastic.

-Curve 9320; Vodafone UK; Personal SIM; BIS is working like having internet on phone. new combined and had the same problem on the same model/same before the purchase SIM.

-Email Setup Application appears to be missing

-Tried to install via Desktop Manager, but cannot download the OS on internet, so impossible to reinstall; downgrade then upgrade again; or install specific app

-Managed to download a 'leak' configuration of e-mail application, but have not installed correctly.

    Source of this app:

    http://forums.CrackBerry.com/BlackBerry-bold-9780-F219/email-setup-application-can-fixed-633200/?_ga...

Error I get after installing and phone restarts:

    "untrapped exception."

    java.lang.ClassCastException.

    -J' now uninstalled it

-Also tried to connect to BIS on Vodafone, that I could do, but adding the account e-mail address here does not insist on it on the phone

-NB is a "hotmail" email address  I logged on Outlook online (ie. new name for Hotmail) and "enabled the synchronization of POP."  There were other options to set and I've never had to do this in the past.

    Yes, I looked here! -

    http://support.BlackBerry.com/kb/articleDetail?ArticleNumber=000010773

Seems there are two routes - try to get the installed application and works; and get email works "via the device browser" (don't know exactly what it means the latter).

Vodafone has failed to return the telephone directories - surprising alone is sufficient.  This seems to be a way out for me.  I have to just get email configuration app works.

TBH, I think it's the best phone ever made because it has great physical keyboard; long battery life; is not to touch and smooth corners. Little surprised does not I don't see how anyone could afford a new fancy phone every 2 years!

Don't see how it could be a problem of system of Vodafone/Blackberry as surely several 9320 users using internet messaging with vodafone United Kingdom - some hotmail.

Looking forward to hear whatever it is, any help would be fantastic!

Hello and welcome to the community!

You tried not bad... well way... but here is the key:

    NF64 wrote:

It is not a red herring... the Service books are required. Legacy devices BBOS do not have a client application of full e-mail on them, they demand BIS in order to work for the email, and Service on the device books is a requirement for the functionality. Therefore, if Vodafone did not send Service directories, then something is very wrong... but, if the problem is their network, only they can look deep into it. Until the SBs exist on your device, it is useless to try whatever it is about the configuration of e-mail... the SBs are a sine qua non closed.

Here a very important question that you ask them - is your device model specific fully supported by their network for automatic filling of HRT and service book? No carrier BB support all models... each carrier chooses their subset of models to support on their network. With BBOS legacy, you can use specific models that are fully compatible with the carrier network for the automatic receiving HRT and notebook entries maintenance. Reference:

If they tell you that your device is not supported by their network, then you're done... inconsistent is not compatible. Period.

If they tell you that your device is supported by their network, then you will need them to dig deeper and determine why they are not able to send the inputs required to your device. Once again, only they can look deep into their network to determine why this cannot work properly. Nobody here has such access. In addition, only your carrier can escalate your case until BB officially if additional assistance is required... you have no channel to do (well, not for free).

There are many possibilities as to why it does not work for you... all here, we can do is guess at those. Here are a few possible assumptions:

    1. As noted above, your device is incompatible with their network
    2. Your device is listed as reported lost or stolen
    3. Your device has a BIS account running on another carrier... If so, then Vodafone will not be able to create an account for her in their system of BIS.

There are other possibilities, but I think you get the drift. What is a key issue for you - how to acquire this device? If there was a camera formerly, numbers 2 or 3 in the list above may be even more possible.

Good luck and let us know!

  • Installation of blackBerry Smartphones Internet problems

Can someone advise me on how to set up my email accounts?  Whenever I click on the e-mail (under Setup) accounts, I have nothing happens.  I don't see even the installation of the company which I use.  I had this previously on Rogers and now just change over Fido.

    Help, please!

    Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

In manage connections > Services status, what is the status of the BIS? If it is not connected, so you must work with Fido to solve this problem. For example, if Rogers do not properly release their BIS BB PIN, then Fido will not be able to create a BIS account. More even, if Fido does not natively support your specific model of BB, then there will be additional challenges.

Sometimes to remove and reinstall the configuration of Email application can help also (assuming that the two BIS voices are otherwise properly functioning and operation on Fido).

You also should have carried out a thorough CLEANING on your BB under shifting carriers.

  • Installation of blackBerry Smartphones cannot continue, because not all OS requirements have been met. Please upgrade to 10.6.0 or later.

    Hello

Recently, I injured my 9700's screen "BOLD" from blackberry to the point where it was cheaper to buy a new one, so I did and that you bought a new blackberry curve 9320. Now I need to sync my old bb "BOLD" for my mac so I can get all my old in my new bb curve information, because without it I have no information because it is stored on my bb bold and I never the saved... but I still get this error message:

Setup cannot continue, because not all OS requirements have been met. Please upgrade to 10.6.0 or later.

I don't know where to find this version that I downloaed later on the blackberry site. If not, how can I get my information off my old bb "BOLD" on my mac, then in my new curve bb...

If someone wonderful can come to my rescue?

    Thanking you in advance

Yes, OK, now I see your problem... I didn't know that your screen has been damaged at this point.

You get this message because the current version of the "BB Desktop Manager" software claims a newer MAC OS on your machine!

Can't upgrade you your Mac OS to the newest? Generally, these improvements are very good markets in the Mac world.

That would allow you to install the software and then (hopefully) make a backup of your machine (blindly?) and therefore to restore the data on your new device!

So my advice would be to upgrade your Mac operating system. The other reason to do it, is that previous versions of the software BBDM are very difficult (does not say impossible) to find on the internet.

Good luck and we keep abreast

First of all, let me ask, you are on a corporate BES account?

If you're not, then why you pass e-mails on your device with information on private patients?

    You shouldn't be.

If you are on a BES, then your BES Admin Contact Tmobile and understand this... because frankly, as you apparently read, CarrierIQ is NOT installed by RIM/BlackBerry, but Tmobile allows him AFTER activating your device on their network.

  • Installation of blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Torch Email problems

    Hello

I recently changed my password to my Hotmail account. BlackBerry then sent me a message inviting me to change the password in my email from my Blackberry Torch configuration section.

When I went in the Configuration section of the--> e-mail--> e-mail account accounts Internet, my flashlight prompted me to upgrade to the latest version of the configuration of the e-mail application. I clicked 'OK' and then he asked me if I wanted to download it now. I clicked 'yes '.

The download began, but then frozen (and I did not on the network or WIFI ranges). The BB Torch then invited a message saying that he was unable to download the application.

I tried to get back inside, and whenever I need to click on "Internet mail account", he would do nothing then tried (for testing purposes) to account to the company, and he would go in the section.

So I tried a soft reboot. It didn't fix it. Then I tried a hard reboot, it also didn't fix it.

    What can I do?

    Help, please.

    Thank you.

You should probably ask in our MAC-specific forums... are a few things in the MAC world, well, different...

  • Installation of blackBerry Smartphones zip files

I am a member of mobile9 I recently bought a curve 9300 when I download apps from mobile9 his zip and I can't install it I tried to download other sites with the same results. I even downloaded the bb app world zip opener but when I want to unzip the files it says that the files are zip nt files? Can anyone help?

Hello and welcome to the community!

They deliver files that allows you to install apps on your BB. There are two types... alx and jad. The JAD files can be installed directly on the BB and the ALX files are installed from a PC via the desktop software. So I would say you look at these files ZIP on a PC and see what's inside of them and act accordingly on what they contain.

    Good luck!

  • Installation of blackBerry Smartphones updates

Please excuse my ignorance guy... When I connect to Desktop Manager I'm wondering now if I want to install the updates on my curve 8900. I guess it is logical to do so, however you are able to advise me if there are complications, pitfalls I might meet it making the guy probably. ? My 8900 works absolutely brilliantly as she is now, I don't want to screw up things in 'download' all that I may not even use! I can sound very negative, but I guess I'll be careful!

I always recommend a complete backup of the device by first using the Desktop Manager.

And as you said, if your device works well and you do not wish to upgrade, there is really no reason to do so.

How can I get the load to the top of the screen to access my phone?

My phone had OS6 installed at the time it was released. Today, I decided to update to the latest version of the OS6. I downloaded the update through my device, and then click the button install. There is a prompt message warning that the installation can take 2 hours or more. After 2 hours, I started the monitoring device and noticed that there seems to be a pattern to the load up screen. 1 loading screen screen 2) black with LED light red 3) the load screen and then ends with a bright white screen 4) back to the black screen with LED Red 5) repeat this pattern.  I waited another hour to see if there was no change in the situation, but nothing. So I did a hard reset (battery pull). After waiting 5 minutes, I put the battery in and now I get this screen load pattern.

If I erase and reload my camera, can I recharge my BlackBerry protect the back upward?

I would greatly appreciate any help or advice on this matter as soon as POSSIBLE!

There are two methods for recovering for you to try:

    One:

    • Open Blackberry Desktop Software & connect your device with the PC using the USB cable, without inserting the battery.
    • You have three Retry option, update or cancel, and then click Update.
    • Once it is at the stage of the "initialization of pocket" update, then insert the batteries.
    • If this does not work, and you get stuck on the safeguarding of social data feeds, go to the second method below.

    Second:

    • Start your BlackBerry in safe mode.  Article ID: KB17877 how to start a mode BlackBerry smartphone without failurehttp://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB17877
    • Connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software and allow handheld to connect. If you are prompted to update, cancel the upgrade for later.
    • IF you can not connect or your desktop software does not recognize your device in Mode safe, please follow the instructions here to force detection: Article ID: KB10144 how to force detect the BlackBerry smartphone using the Application Loader
    • Go to device > delete > SELECT DATA > select this option to remove the Social flow and smart card data bases and follow the rest invites you to complete.
    • Now, you can go back and click to update the device through the Desktop Manager, or restart the BlackBerry in normal mode and continue on the upgrade of the air.
