Installation of computer desktop hpe Series USB card

I want to install a USB 2 card in one of my slots for PCI card in my desktop HPE-450f. I also have 2 friends with HPE-400 desktop computers that want to do the same. The problem is that the only cards I have found require a supply connection 4 pins on the inside. I can't find such a connector inside the box. Is there something I am missing, or is it impossible to install these maps?

Thank you.

I have to admit that I made a mistake somehow.  After reviewing the specifications of your computer again, it seems there are 2: USB 2.0 on the side of the computer and 4 ports: USB 2.0 to the rear ports.

I shopped an option that might work for you.  I contacted StarTech to see if they had any ideas.  This is the only option they could offer:

It's a long shot, but if the cable can be routed off the case someway, it could possibly work.  You can communicate with them with to get help.

  • e9105z Desktop: Add a USB 3.0 Port

I have a desktop computer HP e9105z with a motherboard of Paragon. Recently, I bought Linx mint on a USB 3.0. I installed a PCIe 3.0 Insignia guest card and tested OK 2 ports with a USB 2.0 stick. I asked the 'seller' uses the Molex connector. Says that does not need to use. Now after reading about the topic (I should have) I understand because of the intense charged with disk i/o, cameras, etc., I have to plug the connector on any available of the powsupply Molex connector. Previously, I have improved the 350w at 700w power supply. I need connect the PCI card to the power supply? The USB 3.0, I'm going to use a passage of up to 300mbp. How can I check it's speed, I'll get out the PCI card? Thank you

If the pci expansion card has a port of Molex, it is there for a reason. By all means plug in the power to it, notwithstanding any other advice. Why would you not? The speed you get out of the usb card will depend on the connected device and several other factors. Linux has a very informative file transfer interface that will give you a reading of the current transfer speed, can be started and stopped, like similar Windows 8.1 etc. But I guess I understand that you can run Linux Mint on the memory stick, right? Linux has a lot of comparative analysis tools available. HDparm is one:

    http://www.shellhacks.com/en/HOWTO-test-read-write-speed-of-a-hard-disk-in-Linux

Just boot Linux from the 'Live' stick and then test the speed of read/write to the hard drive with one of the tools for benchmarking. I doubt constantly, you will get 300 Mbps, but you should get much more important than usb 2.0 that would maybe 40 MB/s. You will probably get as 120 Mbps.

  • Satellite Pro L300 - USB card reader does not support the 64 GB

HI I have a Satellite Pro L300 under Win XP that I want to attach a USB card reader. I find that I can not read the 64 GB cards. The error is that the card is not formatted. All other cards read correctly. I can place this card reader in my desktop running Win 10 and it works correctly and reads the 64 GB cards. This seems to indicate that the USB card reader works properly, and perhaps that the problem lies in the USB on the Toshiba drivers. Has anyone else had this problem and found a fix for this. I've just updated the BIOS but no improvement. Thank you

No hardware changes or software recently made to the system: I followed the usual procedure to install Windows updates.

Performed troubleshooting: because the error # 80071 A 90 type indicated by the system, I followed the instructions of Windows Help and Support, for example to run Microsoft Fix it which did not work; a more advanced method has also been used, who recommended to start Windows Update in Mode safe, then open Windows Update and install the updates and then restart normally. At this point, the problem was that any stage of Windows Update was available.

    Hello amib004,

As much as I know, only Windows Update cannot be run in safe mode. That being said, I saw where install several updates may conflict with each other. Try to disable all updates installation and install the updates failed one at a time.

  • Desktop HP-H8-1110: Card Reader H8-1110

Hello, I upgraded the OS from W7 to W8.1 and my card reader 15-1 has stopped working. I don't know if it was a coincidence or a compatibility problem with W8.1, whether, I bought a replacement card reader and thinks that I need a SATA cable and would appreciate help to advise me which cable I should i.e. 7 red pine series of card mother SATA hard drive HD Signal data cable, SERIAL ATA HARD DRIVE SIGNAL HD SATA DATA CABLE Serial ATA adapter SATA S - ATA cable data,... to connect the replacement card reader?

    Thank you

    Lin

According to the card reader that was purchased, I suspect it uses a connexionUSB header, and not SATA.  If the existing card reader is always connected to the motherboard, simply plug in a new USB empty header.  A picure of the motherboard can be found HERE.  Just check that yours looks like.  Header USB connections are along the lower edge of the motherboard (pictured).  I see that your card mother peut having a special connctor for the card reader

just above the SATA, labeled Mini ports Card pictured, I've actually seen that before

  • Transfer pictures to the computer, back to the camera card

I would like to transfer photos, Windows Photo Gallery, or my folder of images, from my computer, on a camera

card.  I am currently operating with Vista.  Is this possible?  If so, how?

    Hello BrendaKS,

Your camera has an SD card or you store the pictures in your camera memory?

If the device has a SD memory card then you must place this memory card into the reader on your PC. All you then need to do is to copy the photos you want to transfer to your camera and then paste them into the SD memory card.

If your device does not have a SD memory card then you will use the cameras memory to contain the new photos. This will reduce the amount of memory that you have to take new photos and eventually, you run out of memory and you will need to copy the photos to another storage device.

If you use just the computers memory, then the camera should have a USB lead that attaches one end to the camera and the other end to the USB port on your PC to enable you to transfer data between the two.

However, I am assuming that your PC has a SD memory card that stores the admissions.
