I checked the configuration and there is nothing wrong with that, more connectivity between the weblogic server and the Linux server and it checked. Also, I don't have any Enterprise edition, everything I do is at the level of the console under Linux.

Help, please. I tried to sort this for a long time.

    Thank you.

    Becky,

You mustn't do something extra to have 'EM running in the instance of 11 g OBI. Although it is a deployed JEE application, if your server Weblogic (WLS) is launched and up and running then your Console EM should also be running.

You say you do all that command line. Then, start the Weblogic Server, then go to http://< your="" server="" name=""> : 7001/console

    So which rises, will

    http://: 7001/em

That's your Console of Fusion EM and it should come as well.

Don't mess with the XML file directly.

  • HP Officejet 5740 e-all-in-one: HP digital Fax must be set to record on a GNU/Linux (Debian)?

I used to have a printer of the 8500 series (if I remember correctly) that can be configured from the web interface to save on a standard network share (CIFS/Samba).

Some recent HP with capacity fax printers seem to be able to record in such an action on the network, but the documentation implies that only works on a Windows system with the HP software. It seems that the software configures only a standard Windows share to be accessible on the network.

Can it be set up a GNU/Linux system (NAS, server, etc.) without using Windows at all? How? Is there a shared resource naming convention, working group, etc. ? I can't find any references to this.

Edit: I found the installation steps of filing for my old digital printer, I wonder if there is something similar (or the same) in the user Web interface of the newer printers.

Ultimately I just installed a basic print/scan/copy printer (Envy 4500 series) that complements USB modem-Fax + eFaxGTK well. The only element missing from the old system is direct fax from the printer (now requiring a print + rescan to fax via eFaxGTK) and do not have a document feeder.

Use and OfficeJet pro introduces new problems:

    * Lack of history for faxes sent

    * Don't fax not working from the PC (I'm report a bug on this subject)-Gnu/Linux fax queue was aways "Paused".

    * Fax backend related to HP printer (if the printer fails, no guarantee a new printer will use the same procedures to receive faxes, etc.)

None to retrieve faxes in memory of the printer of Gnu/Linux

    * Address book related to the printer, not accessible/modifiable/Sync with the implementation of HPLIP

It's a shame HPLIP these poor support for these multifunction printers fax

  • 11g on GNU / linux

    Hello

I would like to know one thing if we use obiee 11g1.1.5 GNU / linux.
Now the RPD opens only in windows machine so we need completely install the windows version of obiee 11g on Windows machine or just customer obiee just.
Reason why I asked this question because I tried with the installation of any client on my windows machine, but somehow, wasn't able to establish a connection with the server on the linux machine.

Due to which I had to install full 11 g on my windows machine.

Is this the way he behaves, I just wanted to know?

    Thank you

You don't have to do a full install locally, that's what the client tools are for.

If you want to work online (and you should probably consider working offline and deployment via the company Manager) then you must set up the ODBC connection to your linux server and make sure the 9703 port is open on the linux firewall. Kind regards

  • Acer Aspire 5741 G too hot temperature with Debian GNU/Linux

My Acer Aspire 5741 G would become too hot using Debian GNU/Linux.

Any ideas on how to get the same cooling effect as with Windows 08/07/10?

Using Microsoft Windows, it is never too hot and I suppose it has something to do with the control of the fans of the laptop.

Had no luck with the bios, but it looks like I solved the problem for now.

For those who have a similar problem, here is my solution:

    1. I installed the driver real official owner of AMD for the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470.

    2. I completely disassembled and cleaned the laptop then assembled again.

Now, I have worked with him for more than 6 hours and I can't have more than 50 degrees celsius in all hearts.

I think / hope that should do the trick until the end of the lifetime of the laptop.

Thanks to the community for your thoughts.

actually I wanted to 11.2.0.2 version for RHEL so found this wrong SW on zseries.
Which means that we do not have 11.2.0.2 for RHEL. I found only 11.2.0.1 for RHEL from the following link,

Now, I now have to download the correct version for RHEL.

  • RAC: Installing several "different SID" RAC installs on the same Unix/Linux server...

    Hello my good people.

I had to see if this is possible.

Lets just keep things simple from the start.

    Let's say I have 2 Linux servers called "nodes 1 and 2.

Nodes 1 and 1 have an installation of RAC 11 GR 2 running with the $ORACLE_SID defined as "XEV".

    NOW,.

This is where I ran into some trouble.

I have an another Oracle database that I need to install "RAC 11 GR 2" but the $ORACLE_SID will be different and it will be called 'Kai '...

But I want to do it on the same servers Linux two 'nodes 1 and 2'... You following me now?

So, in other words, I have 2 totally different databases that need to be "CARS" which will have to live on the same 2 nodes?

    Is it STILL Possible?

Please let me know... This could be a "show stopper"...

Yes, it is possible. And here is the easy way to do it... fire upward the database Creation Assistant (DBCA). The utility will create another data base, same CARS, on the same server. It is also for the databases punctual too. The DBCA Wizard will ask you a few questions and you will have this second database running on the same cluster Oracle RAC in no time.

If it is possible to have multiple databases running at the same time, remember that each needs its share of the resources of the operating system. So make sure you have plenty of CPU, RAM and able to support all the running instances on the node for disk i/o.

    Brian

Hi, I installed OEM on my virtual machine with 70 GB of disk space and a space of exchange for 5 GB and 2 GB of RAM. I installed Linux 5.8 Oracle and Oracle DB and OEM 11 g R2 version. Although the installation was successful, when I try to navigate the console host via https://< host name >: 7801/em login page takes at least 2 minutes is displayed. Its the same with all browsers SRAGP. Something escapes me in which the Web server must be set appropriately. Help kindly.

The problem is now resolved. I rebooted, the database and listener

    Restart of the database:

    1 sqlplus "/ as sysdba".

    immediate stop

    2 sqlplus "/ as sysdba".

    startup

    The listener is restarted:

    WHO is restarted

    2 middleware/who/bin/emctl start SGD

  • GNU/Linux drivers for Tecra R840-10 t PT429E-00M007EP

    Toshiba and ForumFolk greetings.

I am considering buying laptop said, but I will so if I can use it with my "Other Operating System". :)

I'm guessing that this laptop is relatively new and I can't find reliable information anywhere, so I'll try here first. What I see, Toshiba supplies only drivers are windows ones.

FREE software drivers only go as far as HD 5890 series for the graphics card. What is the difference between HDMI and DusplayPort?

I'm completely in the dark about the chipsets are actually used for the other components. Some drivers are supposed to be "OS independent", however, following the links for the 3G driver, I get a list of the 3 drivers/utilities for windows.

I guess that bluetooth and WiFi (a/b/g/n or b/g/n?) will be more simple and easy to support with FREE software drivers, I hope. The manual stipulates that WiFi and Bluetooth work in the same frequencies, is it? Any risk of actual use (network dropouts, etc.)?

I don't really like to drive Optics (or speakers and card-slot machines), but which is not being able to use 2.6 and 5.2 GB DVD - RAM?
    All the lights here?

PS: The Toshiba laptops that do not have vents on the underside are there? It's rather silly to laptop manufacturers.

As much as I know that the Wlan card is 802.11(a/g/n) Intel supporting BT as well.

But why you do not use a tool of hardwarediagnostic for Linux?
That would be the best way to get part of hardware features...

  • How can I get a GNU linux serve to injest syslog data?

We try to put up Splunk, on a GNU server, with rsyslog.   Splunk does not see the data, and I'm reasonably sure that it's because we are not configured correctly with the demon rsyslog.   I find anywhere a file that contains data for the switch.

I implemented the switch with an ip of VLAN1 to 10.10.10.20 10.10.10.1, with a default gateway, which is the IP address of the GNU server.  I have both logging and traps set to send to 10.10.10.20, and I connect to the buffer at level 6.  The switch can ping the server and vice versa. There are no firewalls or other devices.

    Hi all

I try to install OBIEE on Linux, server, by default the installtion directory will be

    / usr/local/OracleBI

    / usr/local/OracleBIData

Is mandatory to install OBIEE under these directories or can I just install in any other directories as any mount point (/ mnt/OracleBI) or under home directory (/ home/Vinay/OracleBI)?

    Thank you
    Vinay

If I remember it correctly, you're going to specify the location such as/usr/local.
Thus, you can go for any place other than what Oracle has suggested.
