Installation of Microsoft Arc keyboard

I can't get the Arc keyboard works.  I downloaded the software and followed all the instructions to configure and install the keyboard.  All the controls of the system indicate that the computer recognizes that the keyboard is there, but the keyboard and the laptop don't speak.  I am using Vista with a 32-bit system.

According to: http://www.microsoft.com/nz/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=120&active_tab=systemRequirements, you must be online to install the software.  Was this the case?  If no, you must uninstall the software and then get online and install it again everything online.  You can download the updated software rather than using what came with the device - but it's your choice (even if it's what I would do).  Here's where to find:http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/download/download.aspx?category=MK.

You can try Microsoft Support but I don't know if it will be free and can not say without yor product identification number.  Here's where to start:https://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?&c1=502&gprid=15022&&st=1&wfxredirect=1.  We'll tell you if paid before they charge you.

I looked towards the top of your keyboard, and there is no documentation online availalble to help facilities or problems or anything like that (all specifications).  Your best bet is to uninstall everything that you installed at that time and again and fresh with a new software download and ensure that you are online when you install.

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

    Hans

    Hello Hans,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand that the IntelliType software is not able to detect the keyboard of the CRA. The question could arise for various reasons, including a faulty hardware, damaged driver etc. I would suggest trying the following methods and check if they help to solve the problem.

    Method 1:

Run the hardware and devices troubleshooter. It checks the common issues of interest and ensures that a new device or hardware connected to your computer has been installed correctly.
Open the hardware and devices Troubleshooter

If the issue still not detected or resolved, proceed to the next method.

    Method 2:

I suggest you try to install TWO software provided for Windows 7 in the following link of support for Microsoft Arc Keyboard. Check if the keyboard is detected.

    Microsoft Accessories: keyboard Arc

If the problem persists, I suggest you refer to the following article which allows troubleshooting of common keyboard problems.

  • Microsoft Arc Keyboard does not

I have a bow of Microsoft keyboard that has mysteriously stopped working. It used to work fine, but we know that it works at all. I don't get any notification that a USB device is plugged when I plug in the transceiver. When I uninstall the IntelliType driver, the keyboard presents itself as a keyboard HID Device in Device Manager, but does not work; When I install the IntelliType driver, the keyboard disappears from the Device Manager. I know that there is nothing wrong with the keyboard itself because it works fine in my other computer.

  • Microsoft arc touch mouse and keyboard

I just bought a microsoft arc keyboard and mouse touch arc.
Can I use 1 receiver or do I have to use a different receiver for each product of the arc. Right now the keyboard does not work with the receiver of the mouse and the mouse does not work with the receiver of keyboard.
The arc keyboard receiver said Microsoft nano transceiver v2.0
The arc touch mouse said Microsoft nano transceiver v1.0

As they came with their own receivers and receivers are different 'versions', I don't think that you can combine the two devices.

I tried to disable my Avast! anti-virus program entirely to restart my system in selective mode with only Windows running programs to install the keyboard. None worked.

Also the comfort curve keyboard 2000 from Microsoft that was previously used with this system can no longer install into any usb port. It only works in the USB port it was previously installed. IM happy that I can still use this keyboard, otherwise I would be even more crazy. Usually, I am not asking these questions, I'm the guy 'tech' at home, and I tried all possible options. • Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse scrolling problem

I have a Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse.  My problem is that when scrolling in the way of my index finger on the metal band, the page scrolls down, as it should, but then maintains a 'click' - same supplement with my index finger lifted well clear of the Strip.   This makes the reading of documents and emails a total boredom.  You reach the next starting point and the cursed thing jumps on another paragraph or two.  The driver is up-to-date.  The mouse is absolutely clean and the dirt and dust are not issues.  It's time to take this mouse has a few miles of the coast to see if it floats?  If anyone else has experienced this?   It would be great to fix because it's an uncomfortable thing to hold and I really like the way that batteries are registered by "flattening" of the mouse after use in order to turn it off.   Any advice would be welcome.   Frustratedly, David, NZ

  • How to use the Arc keyboard and mouse Arc using the same USB Transceiver?

I bought a bow from Microsoft and Microsoft Arc mouse keyboard.

Both devices come with their own 2.4 GHz USB tranceivers.

I want to connect the keyboard and mouse to a transceiver.

I can't find any instructions on how to do it.

In comparison, my Logitech keyboard and mouse comes with software that allows me to pair several devices to the same Transceiver.

How to connect the keyboard and mouse to a transceiver?

    P.

As far as I know, you can do that.  If you want the keyboard and mouse on a transceiver, you buy a keyboard/mouse kit, commonly known as a desktop computer.

  • Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse will do nothing

I went through all of the suggestions posted previously in the past problems with the Microsoft Arc Touch mouse, but nothing works. I went through all the steps in the troubleshooting provided guides, but still nothing. The IntelliPoint software installed, Microsoft keyboard and center mouse installed, the control panel shows me a nice picture of an Arc Touch Mouse as my mouse installed, but still, it won't work. The Green LED shows that it is good with the battery and the blue laser goes hard, but alas, it still does absolutely nothing. Controlled parameters. Tried it on another machine, also does not work.

Any help, that does not involve pointing me to existing support documentation, would be very much appreciated.

  • Failed to get AASCI on Arc Keyboard characters

    Hello world

I just bought an Arc keyboard and I really like it, except...

I don't seem to be able to get AASCI characters on it. those where you type ALT + 4 digits for cadratins, accented, etc. characters.

    Can someone please?

Nothing in the alert box that you could not get characters AASCI and the saleswoman assured me that he would do this because it's a new top of the line product. Well, he was a salesman and I can take it if we cannot resolve this issue!

    See you soon

    Phil

    Hi Phil,

I would like to know if you have a numeric keypad on the keyboard or not, because it is not possible to use the ASCII codes if the keyboard has a numeric keypad on it.

Here in this situation, I would say to contact the Microsoft Hardware support for more help on this issue. They will be the right people to contact with this issue.
