Installation of standby Dbvisit.

Hi Experts,

I have Standard Edition One DB, I want to use DBvisit as an alternative does ' t taking care of custody of data...

-What is the accuracy of this instrument?

-When use to take backup to hot RMAN?

-We must have the same directory structure in the standby as backend server?

-We need to generate keys on the two server

ssh-keygen

Kind regards

Hello

It is not very big, so you can leave DBvisit to create the backup, transfer it to the standby server and restore it.

On the day before newspapers - directory must have been created by dbvisit and all redologs will be created the first time you have active database - passage or failover. You don't need redologs on the standby database until it has been activated and becomes primary.

I would say to monitor the alertlog from the night before and make sure everything looks okay. In addition, you can open the standby database read only to ensure that it is consistent.

Kind regards

    Hello

I have problems with the installation of XP PRO on this new laptop XP Home doesn't suite my needs.

Namely, I get the following errors:

    Energy saving:

Installs properly, when he tries to run after the installation or startup, it dies with "Fatal Error 0x7E", then closes.

Read on these forums that there are several people with the same problem on various toshiba laptops, xp pro installation and having this problem. Someone suggested that the installation of shortcut would solve this problem. Unfortunately for me this request as well as requests for installation of accessibility both does not run with the error "could not find the EBlib.dll component."

I just uninstalled and reinstalled according to the order in the document installation.txt since the toshiba site, but still no joy and I suspect that these 3 numbers are all connected to a driver missing or contradictory.

I cannot locate the .dll in question and that you cannot find any reference to this anywhere on the net. Seems that some of the tools does not work because of this missing pilot...

I use the latest version of the bios and all the latest drivers available on the Toshiba site. Any suggestions?

    Heeeeeeelllllpppp... thx

    Hello

I put t know which satellite you have exactly, but as far as I know all the drivers, tools and utilities are designed for the Windows XP Home edition operating system, and they can be used with the edition family or professional.

On this path, it is not easy to say why the error occurs, but it will be interesting to know if you have installed SP2 and if so did you do before the installation of standby power.

  • Cannot re - install Power Saver on Satellite M70-169

My laptop (Toshiba Satellite M70-169) will not properly charge my laptop battery. It will begin at the start of charging the battery, but then after awhile it stops when the battery is partially charged. I replaced the battery, but this has not solved the problem.

To try to solve this problem, I tried to reinstall the BIOS, the Power Saver Driver then Power Save in that order.

The first 2 steps seem to work; However after that I removed the power saving mode, I was unable to reinstall it from the version downloaded from the Web site. I extracted the installation in a folder on my c: drive, but when I tried to run setup.exe, nothing happened.

    Any ideas?

Have you replaced new battery or the second battery is already being used?

I have too many Satellite M70 and I think that this question is not related with software pre-installed. As much as I know Toshiba power Saver saver allows users to optimize the performance of the laptop or reduce energy consumption if the laptop is running on battery only. I put really think software preinstalled has something to with charger procedure and some influence on this.

The fact is that each computer Toshiba laptop can work without Toshiba power saver utility on the same path using power options Windows XP Home/Vista edition. Because of this, I think that the battery must be replaced.

What about the installation of standby power? According to the document of instructions for Installations you should install TOSHIBA Power Saver V1.36.0.1C only. try to delete the driver GST if you can find it under pre-installed software and install TOSHIBA Power Saver V1.36.0.1C only.

  • Satellite A30: Need driver for button front

    Hello
I have a Satellite A30 laptop computer on which I have freshly installed WinXP (no recovery CD). It now extends so far as well. Now I'm looking for drivers for the front buttons.
I could not find in the download of A30 (pilot controls!) Can someone tell me, where I can find these? Thanks in advance!

PS: Sorry for my bad English! :)

    Hello

This is not true. You can install the driver from Toshiba on the Windows XP BUT you must install the drivers of Toshiba and utility in the right order!
    It is not very easy.
As far as I know to install the chipset driver first. The Easy button driver is responsible for shortcut keys.

Installation of standby power in use? For me, this tool has nothing to do with the keys, but I found the info you need to the system management Bus driver. With related management system and power System Management Bus (SMBus) chips can communicate with the rest of the system.

However, I found a lot of QFE on the page of the driver to be installed also. As you can see the manual installation is very easy and that's why he s is recommended to use the Toshiba Recovery CD.

It is not a problem with the license, it is an inherent limitation of dbcontrol. He (dbcontrol) works with a single database. Create/manage a DG of installation, you must be able to work with multiple databases, where the unique flavor of OEM that will do GC.

  • No sound after the takeover by Satellite C50 - from standby or sleep

I had downgraded the C50 Toshiba Windows 8 for Windows 7 64-bit and downloaded all the drivers linked from Toshiba's web site, but there is no sound on the phone, after that I have to put the computer on standby or into hibernation. The sound on the right corner icon is present and active.

I already uninstalled the audio driver in the Device Manager and rebooted the computer.
    This work of t n.
Also I tried to install a new version of the audio driver Toshiba s website again, once again, no noise.

If I do a full stop down or restart the laptop the sound is back to normal. Sometimes it is not as well...

I didn't start-> Run-> enter services.msc. Check the status of the Windows Audio service is started.
    but once again, NO HELP.

All windows updates are up to date. 7(64bit) is: Windows Ultimate SP1

I have all the virus scan of the computer, he found nothing.

I rang Toshiba customer support, they ask for 45 pounds (GBP) to pay for technical assistance.
It is the stupid things that technical support is payable even though this computer is only 3 weeks.

    Can someone help me then?

    Hello

What audio device is set as default in Control Panel-> sound-> tab reading after that the system wakes up from mode sleep?

Check if the speakers are set by default.

But to be honest, I think that the reading already tab settings are set correctly.

In my opinion, you must reinstall the entire system once maybe that something was wrong during the first installation, who knows that everything is possible.

After the new Win 7 installation ensure that the ITD and Toshiba Audio Enhancement Utility and DTS Studio sound driver are installed correctly.

  • Satellite P205D freeze after hibernation/standby in Win7

    Hello

Satellite P205D my daughter has just been upgraded to Windows 7. fine, except that now, it freezes shortly after the resumption from standby or hibernation. Minidumps just point to a "hardware". We executed the installed Toshiba installation software (it was a 'clean' installation), value added package, and updated the BIOS and 1.7.
Any ideas what could be casuing the problem? -J' I assumed it was a suspended driver, but would have thought that they would have to day now.

The only thing showing a problem in device manager is a (probably from a USB stick) USB mass storage controller, but that the deactivation has no effect.
    Thank you

To be honest on this virtual path, it is not possible to provide the exact diagnosis. We don t know what you did exactly, which drivers, tools and utilities installed and install the who do you follow.

Can you maybe provide more description on the OS version, driver installation, installation of additional software or anything else that can help a better understanding?
Some external device is connected to your laptop, run some additional software?
What it looks like in Device Manager? Everything has been installed correctly?

  • Satellite U840W PSU5XA - Win 8.1 installation and effective use of SSD

    Hello.

IM in the hope of a solution to the two questions.
The second that I suspect is caused by the first.

    Satellite U840W PSU5XA-001006

Has started getting the BSOD with various defects.
The most persistent has been IRQ LESS or not EQUAL - iaStorAV.sys

Many hours of research and I can't find a solution or post did the extension "AV" the iaStore.sys...

So I have provided zero factory (BSOD) issues have persisted.

So, I Clean installed Windows 8.1 directly above everything and removed all previous records.

I noticed that the system was not working all utility brand TOSHIBA factory etc. and seemed to be much slower. I suspected that this was caused because of the 32 GB used SSD as Cache has apparently been bi-passe and now everything worked strictly on the 500 GB HARD drive. I don't remember BSOD, but the system has been significantly slower on the start-up and performance.

(SIGH), I even once reset to factory settings, and it gave me back TOSHIBA utilities such as gas stations of the brand.

HOWEVER, the BSOD remained, and once the upgrade to windows 8.1 MAINTENANCE of files and settings, the iaStorAV.sys error is returned (specifically when closing lid in mode "standby") forcing the CRITICAL error and force the system to restart instead of awakening from sleep.

Note: Windows is a legitimate copy of MS, so it's not the question. More strange, it's that 8.1 installation had run at least 8 months no problem before sudden BSOD Page file and iaStorAV errors. Readings and messages have believe me MS Updates to bee the culprit here for the start of these issues.

I read a similar post regarding RAID CACHE PRIOR to 8.1 Windows Installer. My intuition tells me that these two can only be related. that is if windows was incorrectly installed RAID cache, CACHE is not in strored properly and causing BSOD. Im a beginner at this stuff, so be patient...

What I really want to know is, how now can I Factory Reset Windows 8, make it positive to the 32 GB is used as CACHE and help etc. fastboot, then pass safely to 8.1 Windows?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ATTEMPT of THINGS ALSO: TSRI and RAID re - install, memory (success), updated BIOS to 6.70, Diagnostic fast storage re-installed drivers

    Thanks in advance,
    Mr. frustrated...

iastorav.sys is part of the technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver.
The BSOD appears to be related to this pilot and is therefore the first step which I recommend: update the Intel rapid Storage Manager driver.
The latest version should be available on the Intel driver page.

If you use the Toshiba Recovery disk or the HARD drive recovery process, you will get the same system and State of the laptop computer as on the first day of purchase. In this case, the system must be configured correctly.

But if you have deleted or replaced the HDD / SSD in the past, then the RAID configuration is lost and must be rebuild with special tools / software and the procedure.
This can be done ONLY authorized by the service provider.

By the way: the upgrade to win 8 to 8.1 Win has been very well described in this Toshiba HowTo doc:
    http://www.MyToshiba.com.au/support/items/how-to/823

PS. These two problems are not at the same time...

    Hello

What thin you about this possibility?

    Hello

I recently used Windows Update to install SP1 vista on my laptop, but since this installation I can't resume from standby or hibernation. (Service pack has successfully installed - according to Windows anyway).

At the resumption of his sleep, I get a blank screen.

    During the recovery from Hibernation, I receive a STOP error message: + Stop 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x82F11020, 0x9A9D9714, 0x00000000) + caused by * Classpnp.sys*.

After checking these forums, I have seen that Toshiba does not support SP1 + what is accurate? +

+ * If so when/how we will notify when Toshiba released a "patch" for compatibility Vista SP1? I'm guessing that via personnel TEMPO? *. +

Before installing SP1, I installed all the updates (from Microsoft and Toshiba) and had no problems; all the drivers are up to date.

Thanks for any answers in advance.

I guess that this happens because of a problem of compatibility between some pilots and SP1

    > After checking these forums, I saw that Toshiba does not support SP1 is that correct?
    Yes it's true.

    > If Yes, when and how will notify us when Toshiba released a "patch" for compatibility Vista SP1? I'm guessing that via personnel TEMPO?
I think that there should be information on the Toshiba driver page, support page or we will receive some information of Toshiba through applications of Tempo.

    We'll see
