Spoke to Microsoft, they said I have to bring the PC failing due to not able to refresh the view.

Hello flgator,.

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

I understand that the computer is experiencing problems starting starting since the upgrade to Windows 8. I will do my best to help out you! Unfortunately, this computer doesn't have any drivers for Windows 8, as shown here: HP Pavilion dv9000 CTO Notebook PC Drivers

This is probably the reason behind the question. I would return the computer to Windows Vista to solve the problem. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thanks again for the display on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Installation of Windows 7 on Pavilion 23-b034

I have a user with a relatively new 23-b034 Pavilion.  She would like to shoot me this machine to Windows 7.  Of course, this would require wiping the HD and starting over.  Will my problem/question - I have bad to find Windows 7 drivers for this machine.  Certainly, they are listed in the page of downloads & drivers for this product.

    Thank you.

You will probably need to DISABLE "Secure Boot" and ENABLE 'Legacy Support' in the BIOS before you try to install Windows 7. You may recognize these changes after a reboot, if a RED screen. You may also need to install Windows 7 from the CD/DVD of UEFI drive.

    Here are the specifications for the all-in-one HP Pavilion 23 computer office b034. According to the specification, this model uses a chipset AMD A75 FCH, AMD APU A6 - 5400K w/Radeon HD D 7540, audio codec Realtek ALC269Q-VC, the controller of gigabit ethernet Realtek RTL8171FH-CG, 2 .4GHz Ralink 802.11 wireless network controller b/g/n and a Realtek card reader. The following drivers should do the trick;

AMD Chipset Drivers (SMBus, USB 3.0, etc.).

AMD graphics driver (Radeon HD D 7540)

CODEC Realtek ALC269 HD Audio (Sound - check 'accept', click 'Next', select download location for 2nd item to the bottom of the list)

RTL8171FH-CG of Realtek LAN Driver (select the download location for the 5th element to the bottom of the list)

Driver Ralink RT2860/RT2760/RT2890/RT2790/RT306X/RT309X/RT35X2/RT539X (802.11 wireless LAN driver)

Realtek PCIe RTS5229 card reader driver (select the download location for the 2nd element to the bottom of the list) THIS SHOULD BE THE CORRECT DRIVER

If all of the above drivers is not working or you have "Unknown devices" on the left in the Device Manager, please post the hardware ID.

  • Installation of Windows 7 (64 bit) on a 500-089 Pavilion

    Hello...

The computer is a HP Pavilion 500-089 with an AMD A10 CPU, Radeon graphics card, card mother MSI MS-7778, containing the chipset AMD A75 and 8 GB of RAM. The vehicle is currently Windows 8 is installed on the hard drive.

I would like to install Windows 7 (x 64) on the partition where Windows 8. I would do this while keeping my recovery and other partitions intact, just as it has been partitioned at the factory. In other words, I want to keep the GPT partition table, it came with.

I want to be sure about the BIOS settings, that I needed to change to it. My view is: 1) disable Secure Boot in the BIOS (the UEFI firmware) under Secure Boot Configuration, 2) Enable Legacy Support

Then I'll be able to start the installation of Windows 7 (64 bit) of the DVD, and will my GPT recognized and uncompromising of the installation?

I know running Windows 7 does not have any support from HP. That's why I need to keep the GPT and all partitions intact original.

For what it's worth, I would also suggest HP seriously consider adding Windows 7 to their list of operating systems supported on other computers 'Windows 8 '.  W7 is a proven operating system.

    Hello

Yes, if you meet the two steps that you mentioned before installing Windows 7, it should work fine. But owning a www.hp.com and download the necessary drivers before installing Windows 7. So that you don't have to run around to download drivers once you install Windows 7. If you have problems during the installation, you can read back the same message.

  • Installation of Windows 7 help - HP Pavilion 2800

    Hello

I'm having quite the challenge with installing Windows 7.  I have a HP Pavilion dv2800 (2842se) (Vista 64 - Bit), which required a new hard drive.  Today, I installed a new SATA 320 GB 5 400 rpm device and booted up using the Windows 7 installation CD (bought a copy of the sales at retail).

I can't past the second screen, which indicates that Setup cannot locate the correct drivers (I guess that each of them, but the first error specifically referenced the CD/DVD device driver).

I did the install in a folder of drivers that I ripped out the original machine, which had Vista.  Who has not identified.

I've rooted through forums and looked for HP, but it doesn't look like device drivers are displayed for this machine for a new installation of Windows 7 (not satisfied with this answer).

Anyone know what I can do to get the drivers for this computer (where?) and allow Windows 7 to proceed with the installation?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you

My alma mater-called... they want their degree of technology back.

I made a mistake and downloaded the x 86 version for a 64-bit machine.  I'm now enjoying the "copy windows...... expanding windows files install has screen.

I'm sure I'll run into driver problems later, but this problem is solved.  Thanks for asking the obvious questions, which led me to remember the basics.

    Thank you

  • Pavilion 6110y: installation of Windows 7 problem (it won't)

I want to have vista 64-bit home premium for Windows7 64-bit home premium. I bought a new HD 500 GB but will not complete the installation of windows 7. It says that it cannot install on this material. Online research indicates a possible problem or sata controller mode setting (bios) driver. I need new drivers (and if yes where can I find the) or change the raid sata controller mode setting FROM ahci or ide fix it? And if drivers or settings solves the problem I will always be able to access my current hd without any problem? Thanks in advance.

I was finally able to find good information on what to do. I changed the sata controller ahci bios and after installing windows drivers the aok installation is complete. Everything works fine now with two hard drives.

  • Installation of Windows 8 to replace Windows XP in a HP Pavilion a465c

With XP goes in the direction of the Model-T, I was wondering if the installation of Windows 8 is possible, and what I could expect and should know, if this is the choice.

    Dean, welcome to the forum.

Here's a guide that will help you in your decision to go with 8.0/8.1 Win or not.  Is there a Win 8 Upgrade Wizard in the guide.  It examines the component to see if they will be compatible.

If win 8 is not compatible, you can run the Win 7 Upgrade Advisor.

Because your computer is 10 years old, I think that Windows 7 is going to be the best option.  You can determine with the guides above, however.

  • Desktop HP Pavilion p6310y: need standalone Serial ATA Drivers to install Windows Vista on Pavilion p6310y

I bought your desktop Pavilion p6310y on eBay, and I really like it. I installed Windows 7 Ultimate on it without problem. For the purposes of running the software (in particular, Microsoft Virtual PC 2007), I also want to install Windows Vista Ultimate on it, on another partition.

I was under the impression that Windows Vista Home Premium 64 - Bit was originally installed the operating system when this system was released, however, when I start the installation support Windows Vista (which I created from a downloaded ISO), it requires additional drivers (no doubt, Serial ATA drivers) before instalatio, also no hard drives appear in the drive list. Anyone know where I can get these independent Serial ATA driver files? The controller is a NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA controller. I do not have the recovery of original installation disks and don't think that it would be possible to get to this point, this system is no longer supported by HP.

Any help would be appreciated. TIA.

    Mark W. Stroberg

    Hi, Mark:

I compressed upwards and tied the driver for the sata raid controller, you require to the nvidia chipset, that your PC has below.

The best way to install the driver is as follows...

Extract (copy) the files on a USB FlashDrive without any folder.

With the flash player and the support of Vista installation in the machine, boot from the Vista installation media.

After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.

You should now see the storage driver files listed.

If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.

Follow the prompts and I hope that Vista will install.

  • Pavilion P6520F: downgrade windows 10 for windows 7 hp pavilion p6520f

As a upgrade middle-of-the-night involuntary Windows 10 occurred, Can not stop random reboots every 20 to 45 minutes.  I give up.  I know that there is an opportunity (allegedly) to downgrade to Windows 7 in the first 30 days, but I wanted to make sure that no quirks to do with my fairly old machine.  I find Windows.old on my hard drive and my external hard drive.

Everyone does this on a Pavilion P6520F or equivalent and advice?

    Hello @marionhouse,

Thank you for visiting the Forums from the HP Support! The forums are a great place where you can find solutions for your problems, with the help of the community!

I read your post about the issue of upgrade and wanted to help you!  I understand that the office restarts every 20-45 minutes, and you are looking to downgrade back to the Windows 7 operating system.

If you decide to stay with Windows 10, you can try to solve the problem of reset, by examining the following document:

HP computers - the computer restarts unexpectedly (Windows 7)

If you're still having problems, then you should be able to use back to a previous generation option, in your system settings: HP Notebook PC - upgrade to Windows 10

As you say, this feature is only available for the first 28 days after the installation of Windows 10.  Once you return to your original operating system, check to see if you encounter the same problem.

Please let me know if this information helps you solve the problem by marking this message as 'accept as Solution', this will help others easily find the information they seek.  In addition, by clicking on the Thumbs up below is a great way to say thank you!

Acquired over machine without HDD - put in new hard drive

    1. have a windows product key, but does not check

    or-

    2. can I reinstall windows from a set of recovery discs

    Hello:

Microsoft has removed the unlimited access to download W7 in February of last year.

To download W7, you must have a full commercial product key.

The key on your laptop case is for an OEM of W7 edition.

If you have any disk installation of windows 7 Home premium, you can use that and the product key on your PC.

If you do not, you can still order a set of recovery discs for your laptop on the link below...

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

I understand that the computer turns off by itself. First of all, I would like to you the steps in this document: the computer unexpectedly restarts (Windows Vista)

If these steps do not work, I would consider reinstalling the operating system. This will solve the problem if it is caused by a software problem. This document contains complete information about markets: view together to recover the operating system or the operating system reinstallation

If this does not work, then the hardware in the computer is defective. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you!
