Installation of Windows 7 on 3 new Machines

I have a windows family pack 7 (3 licenses). I'm upgrading of equipment for all three machines and install windows 7 on 3 new machines.  The old machines were wiped and formatted.  My question is can I use the 3 licenses of the machines formatted or need some type of reset so that my 3 new installations will be seen as authentic

The Windows 7 Home Premium Family Pack Upgrade 3 PCs is an upgrade license.

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

  • Installation of Windows XP on a new PC with a separate hard drive

I heard many different answers from others to do what I want to do.  Finally, my old PC crashed on me, so I recently built a new PC that is out of date.  I had Windows XP and now Windows7, but for some programs that I want to use XP and this is why I am looking for an extra hard drive to run my XP and of course boot and when I want to.  The thing I heard between 2 different people, that brings me here to find out for myself.  Told that "your code of disk and windows activation is saved with your motherboard you had on your old PC and so it will not recognize it for your new.  The other person has said "if I'm not mistaken they allow the transfer up to 3 different PC with your windows disk.  My question is that I am able to install and activate my Windows XP on my new PC and if so how many different PC can I install my windowsXP on before that I have to buy a new disc?

    Hello

If your XP is preinstalled on the old computer (Dell, HP, Acer, etc.) or if you have an OEM System Builder License, it is an OEM license.

An OEM license is not transferable and is related to the first computer that is installed on the license dies when the computer dies.

Without reinstall on another computer or activation is allowed.

If you had a license to retail sales of XP that you have purchased and installed yourself on the old computer, it is transferable.

The only condition is that a retail license can be installed on a single computer at a time.

One license is for a single installation.

And I suggest that you ask in the Windows 7 Forums on the installation of compatible XP programs in Windows 7.

I intend loading Windows 7 on my new Business Notebook are there any settings I need to change? What should I know?

    Thank you

    Bill

    Hey Bill,.

Windows 7 can be installed on most recent business PCs. There are some requirements and parameters, as you should be aware.

    • First of all, you can not install Windows 7 on a computer with a 7th generation of processor.
    • You must change the version of the TPM secure on the PC or install a fix from Microsoft.
    • You must use the legacy (non-UEFI) mode in the BIOS.
    • You need your own copy of Windows 7 and a license for Windows Professional 10.

I install a new hard drive in my Dell Dimension E520. I installed the hardware and you want to load the operating system (Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit) on the new drive. I have the OS program disks provided by Dell, however I am not prompted to enter the product key when you turn on the computer, and when I follow the steps, I get an error message that the program cannot find the disks on the original disc. How to accomplish this task? I have two drives. One is marked with an OPERATING SYSTEM, and the other is marked drivers and utilities. Help, please!

  • Installation of Windows 7 in a new hard drive

    Hello

I would like to replace my hard drive with an SSD laptops.

I have burned DVD that were made when I started my computer.

Can I install WIndows on the new hard drive with the CD? If not, how can I get a copy of windows for my new hard drive?

    Thank you very much

    Luis

    Hi, Luis:

Unless the SSD is about the same size as the mechanical hard disk, that you deleted (probably not), your recovery disks will not work.

    You will get an error.

I have a solution for you...

If you can read the Microsoft windows 7 25-character product key, you can download simple Windows 7 ISO files to burn on a DVD for the version of windows that is installed on your PC, and which is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker on your PC case.

Burn the ISO with the option to burn the ISO on your DVD burning program and burn it at the slowest possible speed that will allow your program. This will create a bootable DVD.

Use 25 characters on the PC product key to activate the installation.

The key will activate a 32 or 64 bit installation.

Then go to the support of the PC and driver page to install the drivers you need.

Also, if there is a folder named SWSetup on your hard drive C:\, copy off the coast and he should have subfolders that have most of the driver and Setup files supplied with your laptop (except Office Starter 2010).

Link to downloads ISO of W7 is below.

  • installation of windows 7 to a new laptop having windows 10

I bought a new laptop Lenovo that comes with 10 windows, I want to get rid of 10 and install windows 7, how to do this?

You can seriously improve performance on an installation of lower plant with the integrity checklist install Windows 10 .

Otherwise, you will need to purchase a license of Windows 7 to Clean install Windows 7

But if you go for it - which involves tracking down (or purchase on Amazon) the Windows 7 installation media that is no longer available - then you might as well Create Installation Windows 10 support to the vastly superior Clean install Windows Upgrade 10 with the license for 10 you already have on your PC.  Nobody who has done the clean install has no complaints, and 10 is a much better than Windows 7 operating system.

  • Install Windows 7 on a new machine

I'll throw my old PC I installed Windows 7 on. I have a laptop that I would like to install the Windows 7 disc, but I'm afraid that I won't be able to use the product key, as I already used it on my original machine.

    Any help would be appreciated.

So would I need to disable the function on the old computer (if such a thing is possible) as my understanding was that it is a matter "a computer license"?

It's a commercial version full btw.

Turning it on the second computer will automatically be in effect 'disable' the license for the first computer.

You can only use one key on a single computer at a time. If a key is used on two computers and they will be marked later.

    Hello

My laptop is HP - Pavilion dv6 2165-tx. My old hard drive damaged and so bought a new one.

  • Desktop HP Pavilion p6130y PC, installation of Windows 7 on the new SATA hard drive problem

First of all, I can't find the model p6130y number on the HP Support.  The original hard drive came out and it was replaced with a Seagate SATA 850 GB drive, buy Windows 7 on DVD and I tried to install. Obtained through formatting the drive. Their only option now is to "Load a driver."  He says that I need to locate the HD driver on the media and press OK.  I can't find such an on installation disk so will try the find the right HD drivers for this model computer download on a USB key. Any ideas?

    Hello:

Here is the link for the driver sata for your model:

Just download it and do not run it.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=PV-77141-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&OS=4063&product=3980095&sw_lang=

The motherboard in your model has major problems with the drives out and that the results in the hard drive and DVD drive from the BIOS endangered.

It could happen to your model, it's why W7 cannot find the hard drive.

You will need to download and install this free program.

    http://7-zip.org/

After installing 7 - Zip, right-click on the Sata driver you downloaded and select 7 - zip option in the list.

Select extract to: I leave extract the name of the file and extract the exe file in a folder of driver.

Once you have the file, open it and copy the contents of the folder on a drive portable usb flash without the src folder.

With the flash player and the installation of W7 media connected to the computer, boot from the installation of W7 media.

After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.

You should now see the storage driver files listed.

If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.

Follow the prompts and hopefully, W7 should install correctly.

    Hi sativa66,

Try these steps and check if you get the headphones:

    1. open the control panel. (Classic view)

NOTE: open the start menu and click on the menu button of the control panel.

    2. click on the audio icon.

    3. click on the recording tab.

NOTE: this also works on the reading tab, but there are usually no hidden audio devices there.

    4. right click on an empty area and click Show disabled devices.

    5. you will now see the audio devices disabled with the arrow pointing down on them.

NOTE: these audio devices may vary depending on the installed audio card or chip you have.

    6. right-click on each listed off audio device that you want to activate and click Activate.

    7. Once you activate the device, you will see the headset.

NOTE: you can now change the property settings on these audio devices in the way you want.

    8. click OK to close the sound window.

    Kind regards
    Abdelouahab

  • During the installation of windows 7 Ultimate (a new copy) on my desk, it's too long to answer while she will say pilot missing. I have a lot of stress from this problem. What should I do?

(it says no driver found. Click on load a driver to provide a driver for installing mass storage)

If you have compatible hardware and your computer still stops responding, disable any unnecessary material. Remove (USB) universal serial bus devices. Remove or disable network cards, sound cards and cards of the series; and then restart the installation.

  • Question from beginner on the installation of 1.5 on the new machine

I signed up for an account of creative cloud when Edge animate 1.0 came out and installed it on my laptop.  I finally set aside some time to learn the software, but now I have a laptop better, new.

It was my understanding at the time, and I read about this recently too, Adobe was kind enough to offer versions 1.0 and 1.5 indefinitely for free.

My problem is that I can't install the software on my new laptop.  I found links for the Adobe Application Manager and the people who say that you can get there.  But when I opened MAO there is no option to download the software.  I also installed the Creative Cloud software, but can't download 1.5 there either, only the 30-day trial version (not what I was looking for).

I was hoping to get one that will work indefinitely to version 1.5 as I had already, on my new computer (except that I actually 1.0 on my old computer).

    Any tips?

I apologize if this has already been covered, I searched extensively through the forums to see if there was already an answer to my question.

    Hi, Jason.

I want to clarify that we do not offer 1.0 and 1.5 indefinitely for free; We offer 1.x in a perpetual license for a promotional price of free.  The first statement implies that we will always offer 1.5, no matter what happens with the HTML world.  The means of this last once you download 1.x, we expire not the version you download.  I just wanted to clarify your statement.

    Thank you
