  Hello.  I don't think that the BIOS itself is locked to any BONE, at least in a way that you can't turn off.  The biggest problem you'll have is to find drivers that work.  Intel went to bed with Microsoft of processors and chipsets before will not fully support or support at all, nothing below windows 10.  If you can find the drivers for the components inside the computer that works with Windows 7, then you shouldn't have any problem installing windows 7.

  Welcome to the VMware communities forum.

  There is no problem with the Fusion 8 recognizing of your virtual machines to Fusion 5 (or more), it will go just pick up where you left off.

  There are a few borderline cases, as it officially you should have your virtual machines closed and not suspended and preferably without clichés before upgrading to a newer version of the merger. However, in practice I saw real topics with that either.

  Note that it is recommended to backup your virtual machines before going any further. Do this by copying them to an external drive (not dependent on time machine for backups of virtual machines) and then disconnect the drive.

  You can start using on Fusion 8 for 30 days trial period, simply download it from here:

  Try VMware Fusion or Fusion Pro. Run Windows on a Mac without rebooting.

  Once it works as you want, simply assign the license to the merger to change it in the full licensed version.

  Tethered shooting works fine with Lightroom 6.4 on El Capitan.

  You can then go ahead and buy Lightroom and perform the tethered shooting.

  I'm not really clear on the intent of your question.  If you can get the latest version you want to buy it.  When you go to buy, you should be able to see if it has an option to buy an update of the version you currently have.  I can't find the purchase page to check it out myself... I can only find the subscription option.

  Actually, I disagree with respect.  Photoshop makes good use of a large multi-core system.

  I use a desktop PC top of range 12 core for more than a year.  Hyperthreading gives me 24 logical processors.

  

  A lot of Photoshop uses all of the logical processors whenever possible.  Which means that the system is available for your use as much more quickly.

  How long can you complete the radial blur on the next page reference (it's just a Radial blur the simple of a medium sized image)?  My system it ends well less than 10 seconds.

  Based on my knowledge of Intel processors, I think that the new Mac Pro with the latest Xeons top range will run this test in an unprecedented 5 to 6 seconds.  If your system takes more time, it's a person with a powerful multi-core system may be doing things in Photoshop while you wait for seconds.

  In addition, large systems - especially those with ultra-high throughput of e/s (like the Mac Pro will) - multitasking VERY well.  The new Mac Pro provides a disk subsystem gargantuan high-speed flash memory.  I had to build a matrix RAID of SSD to achieve this performance.

  Virtually nobody has seen yet Photoshop run as well as he is going to run on this new platform.

  First of all, I don't have the $ extra to buy or upgrade my hardware for my office and since I retired, I probably never will have it! So now is as good one time as any to try to start to pull $ something, somewhere, to 'fix' my HP Pavilion m9517c (refrurbished when I bought about 5 years ago!).

  So, since I would get Windows 8 for my desktop at some point since I have it on my laptop and I like ok, and this machine has not been tested by HP, I'm sure that I would have to add new hardware somewhere, and if I do, I thought I should get just a new office with 8 win on that.

  BUT, I want to get a computer-based game more and they are too expensive for my small pension and ss checks!

  Anyway, someone did - it ideas about 'remodel or buy new' and so new, any recommendations for games oriented pc? Obviiously I pay premium $ so I expect not the top platform of the line, but something that I can be updated later, etc.

  I mainly play WOW, Diablo III, and another MMO, internet use tonnes, email, documents, etc.

  Buying a new machine now can give you another 5 years. Adding/replacing parts on your existing machine can end up cost you more in the long term.
