Hello
It's good to test and improve our skills in different ways. However, this is not recommended one.
Christ focuses to run ESX 4 server on windows 2008 server(hyper-v). You can simply run the ESX 4 on vmware workstation 7 with 64-bit hardware.

I run 10 64-bit Windows and I have used iTunes for years. iTunes installs OK, I disable Norton Firewall during installation. iTunes starts OK, but when I try to access the store down ¾ of the page turns black, the upper band has Taylor Swift and a few small icons to the bottom of the page. If I type Perry Como, in the search box, the page does not change.
lysdexic01, I know almost exactly what you describe on my screen of iTunes Store recently updated for Windows 7 64-bit. Only difference is that the icons in the black box are invisible until I move the mouse above them, their location by trial and error. Once activated, the icon remains visible. Each found icon flickers at first, but stops flashing if I pass the mouse over it.
I think that the store is now functional and useless for those of us experiencing this problem. Other users have reported that their iTunes store screen flickers since they updated iTunes to the latest version, but most did not mention the area big black screen that you and I see.
So far, Apple seems not to believe that there is a problem with the software to update iTunes. It is therefore important that users continue to report these problems to Apple that there are enough complaints for attention even during a week of office party.

Windows Update program stand-alone installation running - to a standstill
Windows Update does not work, just hangs. INSTALLED
The system for Windows 7 for x 64 systems update tool (KB947821) [October 2014]
BECAUSE IT WAS NOT LISTED AS AN INSTALLED UPDATE. This tool is being offered because an inconsistency was found in the store Windows Service that may prevent the installation of future updates, service packs, and software.
Now Windows Update Standalone Installer running and cannot cancel.
The windows update worked for some updates on 08/08/16 in the .net framework and MS Office. It will just be updated, the Windows software. I have Windows 7 SP1 - came with the laptop.
Unfortunately, if you visit the page MS lately to download Ko (and a few other KBs) get to cooktop page on the KB still seem to work but when you try to start the download, you might get one of two results:
Or maybe you will see this (but never begin to download):
Which ALWAYS seems to work to get the download is to visit the Microsoft Update that requires using Internet Explorercatalog.
Copy and paste this URL in the address bar of Internet Explorer:
http://catalog.update.Microsoft.com/v7/site/home.aspx
Search for the update of your desire:
Add then the KBs you need to your shopping cart, then view or download the contents of your basket and install it / them.
See here for more details:
So we can suggest a link which could sometimes work perhaps (https://support.microsoft.com/kb/3172605) or we can suggest you to use IE to go directly to the page catalog of update of MS where downloads seem to work all the time.

I'm doing a repair of XP Home installation, but I don't get the option in the settings to select R to do the repair install why is - this? Is there anything we can do about it?
Hi CharlesQuagliata,
- What type of Windows XP CD you use to perform the repair facility?
Check and make sure that you follow the below method to perform the repair installation on Windows XP.
To perform a repair of Windows XP installation
(a) Insert your Windows XP CD into your computer.
(b) restart your computer. If you are prompted, press a key to start from the CD-ROM.
(c) when the Welcome to Setup page, press enter on your keyboard.
(d) on the Windows XP licensing agreement page, read the license agreement. Press the Page down key to scroll to the bottom of the agreement. Then, press F8.
(e) when you are prompted, press R to have Windows XP try to repair Windows by reinstalling important components of Windows.
The relocation and repair process may take more than an hour. Finally, the installation program invites you to answer the questions as if you were installing Windows XP for the first time.

Attempt to start an ESXi host nested of Windows Hyper-V on Windows 8.1
Hi guys,.
I would like to start nested 5.5 ESXi hosts in my 5.5 vCenter environment. I did successfully using 10 Workstation, but I'm having problems trying to do using Windows Hyper-V running on Windows 8.1. I created a few test servers and tried to start, receive all of them successfully the IP addresses and downloading the image, but they cling to the «travel modules and updated the kernel...» »
If somebody has got away? Any suggestions?
dbutch1976 wrote:
As described earlier in this thread, the host crashes to "move the modules and from the kernel.
I don't think that the host crashes in fact at this point. Since the FADT ACPI under Hyper-V has revealed that the VGA is not available, the output is redirected to the serial port. If you can complete the "blind" installation, you should be able to get on the rest of the installation while providing the necessary responses.
The question is why the FADT ACPI under Hyper-V claims that VGA is not available, when it is clearly.

Cannot modify memory and CPU of the parameters on a virtual computer running - vSphere 4
After a new installation of vSphere 4, I created several virtual machines and P2V had a couple as well. DRS and HA was set up, and everything worked well. If I understand correctly, I should be able to change the settings of RAM and the processor to a virtual computer running, but they are greyed out as with previous versions. I can change them if the virtual machine is shut down. No idea why this?
Thank you!
1 VM should be version 7 of material.
2. you must set the "Allow memory hot add" powered off mode.
Only after this, you can add memory to the virtual machine performance. Also, don't forget that Windows 2003 and 2008, Enterprise Edition and Datacenter Edition support this.

Software to install to run redistributable LabWindows on Window XP?
Hi all
I wrote a sort of Hello World of GUI in LabWindows. I need to run his reditributable on Windows XP OS that is not any LabWindows software installed on it. I tried to launch its redistributable on Windows XP; However, I have some errors. How should I proceed? The library files must be installed?
Thank you
Kanu
Hi, Kanu, you cannot simply copy a CVI executable on a new machine to run: the minimum required is to install the runtime engine CVI on the system target; After thet, your software may require some additional component or driver to correctly executed.
This knowledge base article addresses this issue in detail and explains how to create a distribution kit that installs all the necessary software on the target computer. See also the other links on this page and the sections of online Help article.

I am trying to run Halo 2 on windows 7 n 64-bit OS. MFPlat.dll problems
I am trying to run Halo 2 on windows 7 n 64-bit OS. The game installs properly and is registered. When I start the game it says the the mf.dll and mfplat.dllfiles are absent. I downloaded both of dll.com and install in my system 32 file and file of halo 2. The message I get now is that "point of entry" is missing from the file mfplat.dll.
Hi, Landon5050,
If you get to the missing file mf.dll errors or any other errors with the mf.dll file, we suggest that you re-install the program, uninstall and reinstall a newer version, or check to see if updates are available for the program associated with the file instead of trying to copy a new version of the file on the computer. File errors are often caused by more than just a missing or corrupt file and copy a single file could cause more problems.
http://www.computerhope.com/cgi-bin/process.pl?p=MF.dll
These dll files exist in Windows, but there are also in the Halo installation directory. The equipped versions of Halo are older and is not compatible with Win7.
Rename the files in your directory of Halo or replace them with newer versions of your directory %windir%\sysWOW64 or % windir%\system32.

1. Click Start, click principally made programs, accessories, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator.
2. type regsvr32 mf.dll and then press ENTER.
3. new type regsvr32 mfplat.dll and then press ENTER.

I can't get updates since SP2 installation and update of the Windows Update Agent.
I have Vista Home Premium 64-bit. I have done 3 installs clean for several days and each time I install SP2 and update the Windows Update Agent I can't get updates. When I click search for updates, it just keeps looking for hours and hours and never stops looking. I tried several solutions on the internet, including those found here. Of course, the first thing I did was run the Fixit of Windows Update tool. He could not solve any problems found. He gave the error code 0 x 80070005. I installed the SubInAcl.exe and run several different command text and a text of the batch. The batch text did nothing. The texts of order had errors of syntax and a file, he could not access. I ran the System File Checker, and it finds errors, it could not fix. I just did a clean install on this machine 6 or 8 months ago because I was going to get rid of the computer, so when I put in place I used the username user. I came across no problem at all when I installed the operating system and update everything. Since then, I decided to keep the computer, so I wanted to have it in my name. As I said, this is my 3rd try. I am willing to give. Maybe someone here can help.
I tried two clean installs and I get the same thing. Once I have installed SP2 and the new Agent update, I can't get more updates. It keeps only the search for hours without results or error messages. I tried all of the suggestions I found on the internet, but nothing works. I get always the same error code 0x80070005, when I run the Fixit of Windows Update tool. There must be a way to solve this problem. Why I was able to do a clean install of 6 or 8 months without any problems, but now I can't. It makes no sense at all. I really hope someone who knows the answer reads this.
Ralph C.
I finally got it! I tried two other proposed solutions, then I ran the System File Checker, which is no problem, then I ran Check Disk. Check disk found and repaired files in the file system of BITS among others. After that, I'm now completely up to date with Windows Update. I was ready to give up. I'm glad I did not. For anyone else having similar problems, don't give up, the answer is there.

Can I download and run Cardfil.png on Windows 7?

How can I download and transfer Cardfile.png on my new Windows 7 computer. It Schweste fine on XP.
Hello Eleanor Brown,.
It's software more alumni who are not compatible with Windows 7.
If the program is not compatible, then you try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.Use the following steps:
(1) right click on the program
2) click Properties
3) click on the Compatibility tab
(4) select run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows Vista or other operating system, the program has been run successfully.
Check out the link here: make sure to run older programs in this version of Windows
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows
If compatibility is not successful, then try and self-test program compatibility issues:
1. open the program compatibility problems theStart button.
Then click on Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooting tool, then clickTroubleshooting. Under programs, clickRun done for previous versions of Windows.
2. follow the instructions in the troubleshooting.
If you are unable to install a program, insert the installation disc for the program and, using the Troubleshoot utility, navigate to the program setup file, usually called Setup.exe, Install.exe, or something similar. This utility is not designed to work on programs that have an .msi file name extension.
If you are running Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate version, install Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP mode (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/default.aspx) and run your software in Windows XP.
If you run Windows 7 Home Premium, try VirtualBox (www.virtualbox.org) or VMware (www.vmware.com) Player and install a separate copy of Windows XP (family or professional edition) for this purpose. You can find the virtualization software free that will run on Windows 7 Home Premium.
Please reply back and let us know if this can help.
