Installation Windows 10 using ISO DVD - what drivers and HP sw?

I upgraded to Windows 10 laptop, (ProBook 650 G 1-W7pro 64-bit), and I had a few problems with the Wi - Fi connection that I am trying to solve, that's why... I rolled back to Windows 7.

I would like to do a clean update using the Windows 10 ISO. My hard drive has four partitions, I would like to erase Hp Recovery partition and Hp tools, in this way I can install W10 on C and then all my data and music on a new partition.

...

But if I switch to Windows 10 using a DVD with ISO... then I lose all the HP software? is it not?

HP Client Manager of Securety (I use fingerprints), HP Softpaq etc.

I think that I can download from the HP site on all software and drivers, I need... but will it work?

Is it too "radical" to use an ISO of upgrade to windows 10 and delete everything I have on the C?

For example, now I can access BIOS by the Security Manager HP customer... and then?

I hope that I explain, I speak very well English!

See you soon,.

Marco

Just move the content of HP_TOOLS to C: If you want to reclaim the disk space and delete this partition.

If it bothers you, then leave it alone.

I moved the content of my drive C: on my laptop and never fallen on problems of who.

Good luck

    Original title: completely clueless

I'm totally clueless when it comes to computers, but I try very hard to learn. I am using the help section a LOT, but I can't seem to find an answer to the only thing that makes me crazy. How can you know what drivers and programs are essential and those that can be deleted without harming my computer? I have a very basic net accountant I learn on before I screw up a portable more expensive and I do a cleaning on my C and D drives to improve performance because it runs so slow but it tells me I have the drivers who slow down Windows. I would greatky appreciate any assistance from someone who has the patience of a saint and is willing to take the time to explain it to me, in terms laymans. Thanks in advance

Drivers: you should know what you bought (in your machine) and what * you * want out of it.  If you want stability and things work properly - let alone the drivers.  If you want more performance check (and other games) in the drivers of motherboard chipset and video network from the manufacturers Web site... For more stability stick with the OEM website (HP, Dell, Lenovo - the assembler of the whole machine) and slightly more performance/push the limits (even if they want to work too - so still some stability) - access to websites of its components manufacturer.

With regard to the programs: you can decide what you use and do not use.  If you are not sure, look it up (Google) or ask.

  • HP envy 17 can not boot windows or using recovery DVDs after the replacement of the motherboard

Hi all, I need your help

first of all sorry for my English but I'm from Greece. I really don't know a lot about the mobile only very basic computer.

I have a hp envy 17 3d 2080en with windows 7 Home premium which, after overheating, chips to the motherboard. I ordered and installed a used motherboard from China (part 630793-001 hp number).

After that I tried to start the laptop, but when he opens he said probably due to the change of the material he cannot start windows normally. After reading a lot on the internet, that I tried using the recovery DVDs I had prepared before the problem, but they will not start just yet. Then, I tried to use the cd system repair but again no luck.

I looked in the bios as some people say on the internet and realized that the product number and serial number are different from those of my laptop and it's maybe part of the problem, but I don't know. I looked in other posts about similar problems, but did not get a definitive answer and this is why I post for your help.

    Thanks to you all

IF YOU HAVE AN HP LAPTOP (MINE IS HP ENVY 3D 2080EN) THAT YOU HAVE CHANGED THE MOTHERBOARD WITH ANOTER ONE (MINE WAS FRIED OVERHEATING) AND AFTER REPLACING YOUR LAPTOP DOES NOT START AND YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH SYSTEM REPAIR DISC OR DOES NOT PERFORM A CLEAN WINDOWS INSTALL OR DON'T LISTEN NOT A RECOVERY CD/DVD RECOVERY THEN EXPERTS HP WHO KNOW NOTHING. LOOK IN YOUR BIOS, AND IF YOU SEE THE PRODUCT NUMBER OR SERIAL NUMBER DIFFERENT THAN THOSE APPEARING ON YOUR COMPUTER (USUALLY IN THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT) THEN GO TO A HP SERVICE ALLOWED AND TELL THEM TO HAVE YOYR TATTOOED BIOS. WITH THE TATOO (COST US $ 40), THEY WILL REPLACE THE NUMBER OF BAD PRODUCT AND/OR THE SERIAL NUMBER WITH YOUR MOBILE PHONE NUMBERS AND YOUR PROBLEM IS SOLVED. MY MOTHERBOARD HAS BEEN FRIED TO OVERHEAT AND I BOUGHT A USED ONE FROM CHINA. AFTER I REPLACED IT THE LAPTOP WOULDN'T START AND WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO REPAIR DVD HE OR EVEN THE USE OF RECOVERY. I CALLED HP SUPPORT, I EVEN JOINED THE HP FORUM TO ASK FOR HELP AND I GOT ONE EXPERT WAS USUALLY TRY THIS OR TRY THIS. DON'T LISTEN TO THEM. FINALLY, I READ AN ARTICLE FROM THE INTERNET THAT EXPLAINED THAT WHEN YOU CHANG THE MOTHERBOARD / SYSTEM BY ANOTHER THEN THE BIOS REFERS TO THE NEW PRODUCT NUMBER, MOTHERBOARDS AND/OR THE SERIAL NUMBER AND THIS WAY THERE IS INCOMPATIBILITY WHICH DOES NOT ALLOW WINDOWS TO START, YOU CAN NOT REPAIR WITH SYSTEM REPAIR DISC OR IT DOES NOT PERFORM A CLEAN WINDOWS INSTALLATION OR A RECOVERY CD/DVD RECOVERY. ONCE YOU TATOO THE BIOS THATS IT. THE LAPTOP WORKS. I HOPE THAT THIS MESSAGE WILL HELP SOME PEOPLE WAISTING THERE TIME AND SPEND THE MONEY FOR NOTHING

    Hello

Maybe you have an old version of your Windows XP operating system in the Microsoft Windows CD.
I guess you are not able to install the OS, because some updates and SP are missing on the CD.
You should try to include service packs of MS, and then install the operating system.

PS: I put t understand why you n t use the recovery CD. The installation is very simple and al Tosh drivers are pre-installed. OK, it s a Home version but there aren't huge differences of Pro

  • Reinstall Windows 7 using a USB Flash drive and an ISO image

My laptop is not an optical disc drive in order to reinstall Windows, I had to rely on the USB that I have. I downloaded an ISO image of the operating system on the Microsoft site and created a bootable USB stick using the xcopy command in command prompt. When I restarted the system and chose the USB as a boot device, nothing happened for half an hour. Then I had to reboot the PC somehow and it booted normally. Since he did not work once again, I downloaded the Windows 7 USB DVD download tool. But even the tool cannot complete the writing process, even after several attempts. So as a last attempt, I opened the folder where I had extracted all the files and ran StartCD.exe but it terminated immediately by posting "too big for memory. (BTW, I use a 8 GB flash drive) What should I do to fix this?

    Use Rufus:

The USB key must be formatted in FAT32 and use the GPT partitioning scheme. To do this, you must use Rufus, a small tool that you can download for free.

    Rufus - credit: Pete bastard/Akeo

    After installing Rufus:

    • Launch it
    • Select the ISO Image
    • Point to the file ISO for Windows 10
    • Check create a disk bootable using
    • Select GPT partitioning to EUFI firmware as the Partition scheme
    • Choose FAT32 NOT NTFS as file system
    • Make sure that your USB in the device list
    • Click Start
    • Close when you are finished
  • My clean install of windows 7 used 44GB twice what Microsoft postpones is necessary.

I installed windows 7 ultimate on a new (never used) 120 gig OCZ vertex SSD. Installing windows 7 a 44 GB before anything else was installed. This seems to be twice the told microsoft that it requires space. Why has my new installation of windows 7 ultimate took so much disk space?

Search through the file system reveals that about 16 GB. BTW, I tried a windows.old folder and did not. Avoid one since it was a brand new ssd.

You should NEVER take any notice of minimum requirements, because minimum requirements never take important factors such as versions of Windows, performance, ability to retrieve errors of basic etc...

The affordable SSDS are still too small to accommodate an OS, updates, service packs and components of system restore, applications, paging files and enough free space (25%) to allow the reader to breathe... a 120 GB SSD should be ok, but move "My Documents" and the page file to another disk internal if you can rembering to leave a pagefile on the C of about 500 MB custom size...

  • Re-install Windows 7 using recovery media (DVD)

    Laptop: HP-430 Notebook

    OS: Windows 7 (64-bit)

    HARD DRIVE: THE 298 GB

When I bought recently my laptop HP-430, I partitioned new HARD drive using some other third party software. I created an additional partition (M:\). Here's the info, how I've repartitioned...

    C:\ - 100 GB (changed from 284 GB to 100 GB).

D:\ - have not made any changes.

    M:\ - 184 GB (created a drive by myself).

Then after a few days of testing purpose I thought using the Recovery Manager. So I run the Setup and chose the first option (System Restore) who says he will only reformat the drive (C:\) system and will not issue any other HARD disk changes. But to my surprise it deleted/reformatted the HARD full disc, and I lost all my documents, music, photos and all my important files, I recorded/saved on M:\ (that I had created...)

Can someone tell me why the hack happened...?

So now, next point. After that the Recovery Manager has restored the operating system, I repartitioned again, but this time with the Windows disk management tool. But the Windows disk management does not shrink (resize) the C:\(Systemdrive) of less than 150 GB. So I resized C:\ to 150 GB of GB 284 and created a player more (M:\) 147 GB size. And I deleted the recovery disc (D:\), but I created the recovery DVD before you remove the Recoevery of my HARD disk drive.

Now its time for me to reinstall Windows 7 using recovery media, I messed with some system files when installing a theme for Windows 7 and now my OS is completely unstable. So now I want to reinstall windows 7, but I do not understand what option selected in the Recovery Manager (when run from Recovery DVD)

Options displayed in the Recovery Manager

    1 collect using Microsoft Recovery

2 recovery system (the option that I had chosen for the first time and got all the stuff removed)... He said that he only reinstalls the OS and custom make any other change of HARD drive.

    3 minimized Image Recovery

    4. factory Reset.

So now my question to you guys, it's what option do I have selected in the Recovery Manager so that all my saved content and my stuff on M:\ (I created) will not be removed... and the operating system is reinstalled.

    PLIZZZZZ HELPPPPPPPPPPPP...

    Hello

I don't think that all the disk recovery options will keep your partition custom - as far as I know, the only time where you will receive a prompt to keep a custom partition when you use the option "Recovery of Image is reduced to a minimum" to the recovery Partition D that you deleted.

You can try the following workaround.

Download the good Image of disk Windows 7 from the link below: it must be exactly the same version your OEM Setup - that is to say if your laptop comes with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, it comes to the version, you must download.

    Windows 7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit

Use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here.

Use the disk that you create to perform the installation - when you get to the option to choose the installation type, choose custom and select the C partition.

When asked, enter the activation key Windows located on the underside of your laptop, then when the installation is complete use the 'method of phone", described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system - this method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just that a new installation of Windows 7 without software load additional normally bundled with OEM installations.

Additional drivers, you may need to find from here.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite X 200 - what drivers for Windows 7?

    Hey guys

Now, I'm going to install Windows 7 on my Satellite X 200 but first I will in fact, I would like to know what driver I need because I heard that some things do not work, as the dvd devic, fingerprints,...

    Details:
    I have 4 GB of Ram DDR3 - 64 bit if necessary!
    PSPB9

I hope you can help me!

    With regard to the Para

    Hey Buddy,

Satellite X 200's official not Windows 7 supported. This means that Toshiba doesn't provide drivers tested for this model. Of course, you can install Windows 7 but all of the drivers and the tools you need to get yourself in the Internet!

What you can test is 64-bit Vista drivers, but nobody can say exactly if they work or not

In my opinion, you must use the operating system preinstalled by Satellite X 200. Who s the easiest way. ;)

  • Cannot install the drivers and software for HP Deskjet 5650

I removed most of the HP entries to my printer from the Start Up. Since then I have not been able to get the Printer Wizard to start. Recently, I uninstalled everything related to the printer from Add Remove programs. Since that time I tried to install my HP drive. It comes up with the error that the software does not support my operating system. My operating system is Windows XP Home Edition SP3. The software is looking for Windows XP. I downloaded the drivers and software from HP. When it runs, it starts very well. For some reason, it isn't detecting my printer. After you select how the printer is connected to the computer and the connection at the same time the software tries to finish, but he comes up with an error and says it cannot complete the installation. I am able to install the drivers, but when I try to install the drivers and software is when the error appears. How can I fix? It would be nice to use the wizard for printer hp again.

I found the solution to my problem. Before I could install the software and drivers for my printer that I had to remove completely all the software and the printer driver. Here's what I used to delete the printer driver. Restarting my PC after removing the printer driver has been the most important step. Everything works fine now.

  • Drivers and utilities for Qosmio F20 running Vista

Hi, I had a Qosmio F20 (PQF20A) computer laptop running Windows Vista

None of the drivers and original utilities were installed, and none of the function buttons/keys work.

Some drivers, I was able to install through update (Device Manager) and Toshiba Support

I looked up support for public services and the only drivers/utils available are for * XP * ONLY

When I try to install the Modules or controls or any other Vista drivers/utilities it stops and says "TVALZ Driver Installation Failed" and then "driver blocked due to incompatibility, for more information, contact Toshiba... »

Can't find anything relevant on the Toshiba site. I looked towards the top of Toshiba in various regions for support...

    There the drivers/Utils for Vista?
    Help, please!

    Hello

Unfortunately, the Toshiba Vista tools or utilities for Qosmio F20 don t it.
As far as I know the Qosmio F20 series and the G20 have been designed and equipped only with the XP operating system and so Vista drivers were not released.

You can try to search for some unique drivers on Internet sites s chip maker but features such as the control keys or the FN buttons will not work with Vista :(

    Good bye
