"Installer" taking up the CPU

I have an iMac end of 2012, and lately he worked very slowly. A few days ago, I checked the activity monitor to see "Installer" take a lot of CPU. I leave and rejected it as an error, but sometimes it starts to do it again. I just kept smoking them until I found several installers taking up half of the space of the CPU. I did some research and I read that the Genio virus, but there is no house icon in the upper right corner and I just can't find any files for it.

• IMRemoteURLConnectionAgent taking up the CPU

I need help knowing what to do with a process that has taken over from the CPU. The computer is a brand new iMac (retina 4K, 21.5 inches, end of 2015). 3.3 GHz Intel Core I7. Actually right now, I have 3 computers with this same problem.

There is a process in activity monitor called IMRemoteURLConnection Agent who gets in anywhere from 70 to 95% CPU. I already have a call with Apple and first off they had never even heard of this process. After a while they thought it was related to Messages. They said that it is constantly ping the cloud for contacts in Messages. They thought it could have been a bad image of golden and had me create a new drive bootable with the latest version and install it on computers. This helps not at all. He is still taking up all the CPU. There is same person logged into Messages. I tried to Landau and boots security dealing with issues for a few hours. Then he returned. If someone has had this problem and how you can solve this problem?

You reproduce the problem when running in safe mode?

• Core i5 rejected as suitable CPU? Installer says that the CPU supports virtualization?

Puzzled here; double checked even with Intel CPU ID utility to make sure that he said YES (and it does):

intel_corei5.PNG

Yet, when I boot the latest installer 5.5 esxi ISO it complain about the CPU, and I can not install it:

2014-05-07 15.10.33.jpg

Hardware virtualization is just a warning... This isn't preventing you to install. Have you looked in the BIOS and ensured that hardware virtualization (or virtualization technology) is enabled? You need to maybe turn off and turn on your system (really, restart not only or reset, remove the power actually) after changing the setting.

The reason why you can not install ESXi is the error of memory size above. You will need more RAM, or you can be able to go into the BIOS of the host and reduce the size of the graphics memory integrated in order to free enough RAM for ESXi run.

• After that Windows Update installation, some programs fail to open but take up to 25% of the CPU usage

Hi I have a HP Probook 6470 b. After installation of the latest series of Windows updates my laptop fails to open the common programs such as Word 2010, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Internet Explorer 11. Other programs such as Excel 2010 and Chrome are not affected. Programs not just open, but on the control task manager, they are each taking up 25% CPU, which is the set of core.

Strangely, on a machine identical to the work occurs the same problem but on a desktop computer, I can't reproduce the problem. With my laptop I use system restore and the problem goes away until Windows Update to run again - there are quite a few updates and I can't identify what the source of the problem.

Everyone knows about this problem?

Hello. In the end, I managed to get out. It was Microsoft EMET that was causing problems. Ultimately I unchecked all boxes and now all my programs work correctly. Strangely Chrome and Excel have been unchecked already which is the reason for which they worked.

• Registration Wizard works 100% of the CPU after the Installation of LabVIEW

After installing LabVIEW and restarting, the registration wizard runs at startup [silently in the background], does nothing notable and eats 100% of a CPU core... that is, core runs at 100% CPU usage.

This has happened for quite some time now, since perhaps versions 2010 or 2011 LabVIEW and ultimately annoyed me enough to post because it is not fixed. Obviously others have had the same issue as well, who went in abeyance... see this post: Assistant registration OR 50% of the CPU

In these cases they report 50% or 25% CPU because it is what happens when you have a dual or quad-core with one fully used heart... it is eating 100% of one heart, but gets divided by 2 or 4 on a quad-core or dual system and appears to be 50% or 25% CPU usage.

The workaround is obviously just to stop the boot at startup record Wizard, but really... have to solve this problem, whenever LabVIEW is installed... not ideal.

I'm running Win7 x 64. I have the wizard registration market with trillions of cycles after my last CPU install LabVIEW. I can collect logs or data or a stack dump or no matter what... Let me know what will be useful information for the OR try to correct this.

What happens if you rename NI\Shared\NI network Discovery\niDiscExp.dll network Discovery\niDiscExp.bak NI\Shared\NI and then restart the wizard?

• Installation of the CPU in server UCS C220 M3

Hello

I'm looking to install a cpu (UCS-CPU-E5-2643) in a UCS C220 M3. According to the documentation, I should use UCS-CPU-GREASE2 for the thermal grease. The CPU came with 2 needles - one with a blue CAP and a red. I searched through literature and can not find who's who. I'm assuming that the syringe with the Red cap is UCS-CPU-GREASE2 - is this correct?

• Satellite A200 crashing when moved or when the CPU usage is too high

Well so recently my Toshiba Satellite A200 started crashing everytime I have to pick up the laptop or run any processes taking the CPU up to 100% usage.

This means essentially no rendering 3D games and no Photoshop or current iTunes running at the same time, etc. Here are the best even if it happens only when the laptop is plugged and not when only battery power. I tried to use another AC adapter, and I cleaned the hard drive for a new installation of Windows 7 that never solved the problem. I even went so far as to update the BIOS.

I am not quite determined that he is just a hardware problem, but I was wondering if anyone had suggestions about which party can act up on me. As I said still works like a dream when running on battery power.

> Here is the kicker if this happens only when the laptop is plugged and not when only battery power.

The energy saving switch to another profile, using the AC adapter.
Maybe you can try to change the speed of treatment at a lower level and could increase the cooling method parameters in the energy saving profile when the AC adapter is in use.

Otherwise, it could be a hardware problem and in this case, you will need a help of ASP.

• Firefox does not start (not safe mode), but uses the CPU

I have the latest Firefox 25.0 (and the last Flash 11.9.900.117) on Windows 7 and the following behavior is reproducible. It started not too long ago.

At first when I launch Firefox, nothing appears no matter how often, I restart. I see in the list of the process firefox.exe to 25% of the CPU, 2 x FlashPlayerPlugin_11_9_900_117.exe (CPU 0%) and plugincontainer.exe. No matter how many times I killed all of them, would not restart Firefox.

The following also not help in this situation:

• Starting in normal safe mode: Firefox opens a window but immediately freezes and does not respond. The process list shows the same process even if I find the unexpected FlashPlayer.
• Disable plugincontainer: same results (just without plugincontainer.exe)
• Uninstall Flash: Same results (just without FlashPlayerPlugin)

The following can start Firefox only once:

• Starting in SafeMode but select "Reset Firefox": Firefox does not start right away, however. Nothing happens, and you have to kill the process. However the very next time you launch Firefox in the normal way, it works fine (but it shows FlashPlayerPlugin.exe in the list of unopened Windows process despite the tab). Unfortunately, after closing Firefox the process (Firefox, FlashPlayerPlugin) are not deleted. I kill and the problem with Firefox do not leave reappears.

In case you use "clear history of Firefox closing:

• do not delete Cookies

Note that compensation "Preferences of Site" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, windows pop up, installation of software and passwords.

Use "Firefox > output" (Windows: Firefox/file > quit;) Mac: Firefox > quit Firefox. Linux: Firefox/file > exit) to close Firefox if you are currently doing by clicking on the X close in the title bar of Firefox.

Create a new profile manually (and not via the reset) as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.

See "create a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting on the problem.

• Satellite C650D - the CPU usage is jumping around

I bought a Toshiba Satellite C650D 2 months ago and I used the Windows 7 that came with it, thinking that it was fine and dandy until a few days ago, he started having random lag spikes.

At first he just happen when you watch movies (tried 4 different programs, all reinstalled the driver, scanned for malware, defragmented, you name) and then she started to occur outside the viewing of film aswell. Who did it for me, and I installed Windows XP. I did 3 times now, clean install it Windows XP. Initially, it seemed fine. For a few hours, and then it started lagging really bad, not like in Windows 7, but the CPU usage is jumping all over the boundaries between 1% and 99% at random, but there is no process to take it!

He lags behind what I do, just open the Notepad can blow. I thought that it would work with a format clean, but no, of course the problem reoccured. It might be drivers, see problems in Windows 7 and XP are somewhat different. I'm in my intelligence ends here on what to do, whatever that is would be helpful.

Hey Buddy,

Looks like on your laptop is a background passes process that is causing this different and high CPU usage.

What happens if you install Windows 7 Toshiba Recovery disk and look in the Manager of tasks? Directly after this installation, you should have a low CPU usage and stable because it s installation of Windows from Toshiba.

• Excessively the CPU usage high on my Equium M70

Hello

Recently in the last month my summer CPU usage hit 100% when I m not running any software tax (only internet explore and windows media player).

It is slowing down the load time and the area near the fan is hot enough.

I have a Satellite M70-337, with a 1.7 centrino processor and now 2 GB of RAM (formerly 512 megabytes). I upgraded the ram in December and had no problems like that, now it just started happening recently, I have installed everything that would, there is no unnecessary programs running and it was after I restored my computer to factory with the startup disk settings (a month later), he seems to have come from nowhere. On the list of the Task Manager it shows my web browser and Media Player by using most of the CPU, but I could have sworn that they use so far before.

I don't know if the RAM would have been a factor, but it was the correct RAM for it and windows recognized to 2 GB.

Why would it suddenly happened any ideas guys?

Hello

I have the same model of laptop and at the moment I have no such problems. To be honest, I did new installation OS 3 months ago and after installing Microsoft Update, I noticed this laptop does not work as before. Just for example: if I use IE7 extensively with several different tabs in the Task Manager I can see this need for IE more than 300,000 k of memory and crashes somehow. After the closure of the IE and ending THE process sin Task Manager I can work normally again.

I don't really know how your operating system is configured, but in the Task Manager, you should see what running process is responsible for the high CPU usage. Maybe some antivir application? Sorry, but it is really not easy to sayt why this happens. Play around with the current process.

• Satellite A10 S203: the CPU fan does not work properly?

I have toshiba satellite a10 s203 and the cpu fan does not work correctly. What can I do about it?

Hi SACRIFICE them.

Here are some possible solutions to this problem of fan.

1. When you have installed a base installation of MS (not the Toshiba Recovery CD) you need to install the Toshiba Power Saver and others utilities from the CD tools & utilities. The energy saver is responsible for the control of the fan.

2. If you have a recovery based OS, you can update the energy saver of http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com site Web Toshiba under Support & Downloads - Download Driver

If please check this and an answer then follow the next step!

• the CPU activity increased to 100% so easy... Satellite 1800 - 752S

I have the Satellite 1800 - 752S with 40GB HD, 384 MB of RAM.
Processor: X 86 Family 6 Model 8 Stepping 10.

Problem: when I try to read a music with Winamp file or a video file with windows media player, the CPU activity is 100% if easy and computer becomes very slow. Audio does not play fluent and the video does not appear correctly.
Also when I try to watch a movie with a DivX Player DivX.

I tried with several antivirus, registry cleaners, spyware programs and anti-adaware to clean your PC of possible viruses, Trojans, worms, etc., but after cleaning I still get the same problem.

What do you recommend I do?

Thank you very much.

Hello

What operating system do you use? It is the original installation Toshiba or did you build this platform of operating system by yourself?
On some models of 1800 there is no XP driver for the videochip. In case you have one of these models and you are using Windows XP, it is possible that the performance is bad when you play everything.

• Satellite A45 - the CPU usage is high and slow applications

Hi all

I'm trying to debug a hardware problem on my Toshiba Satellite A45. I am running Ubuntu 10.04, but I don't think that it's operating system or related software.

THE PROBLEM: The CPU usage is high and applications slowly to a crawl after using an intensive application of memory for a few minutes, i.e. to watch a video or a game. Basically, anything that could use the screen much. If instead, I work only from a prompt, even when the application could do a lot of work, I do not encounter this problem. After stopping all applications, the CPU usage is always higher than normal (90% idle, should normally be slowed down to about 99%).

Xorg now typically showing about 6% (normally use< 2%).="" if="" i="" at="" any="" time="" after="" this="" try="" to="" work="" in="" any="" application,="" usage="" is="" still="" bogged="" down.="" only="" a="" reset="" gets="" me="" back="" to="">

Note: My system has always worked very well and I did not made the installation of the software or changes when it started to happen.
However, the laptop is a 800 miles round trip at the rear of the car in a padded bag.

DEBUG: This doesn't seem to be the RAM that I replaced the RAM and reinstall the RAM, and the problem persists. This doesn't seem to be the hard drive that I can try to run it from a Live CD (without use of HARD drive) and yet everything slows to a crawl.

HELP: I don't know how to debug from here.
I don't have extra pieces of hardware to make swaps.

Any ideas more how to debug this?

Thank you
Grommit

Hello

> I am running Ubuntu 10.04, but I don't think that it's operating system or related software.
It s interesting why you think that this may be software related issue

I think that it is a typical software problem because the RAM and the HARD drive has been verified you have reported this in the message

So what to say maybe some virus or malware likely to obstruct the CPU and the memory usage
Or there is some process in the background that are not properly

I recommend you to reinstall the Windows operating system or another distribution of Linux that runs NO Live CD, but which is installed on the HARD drive
I m sure that s kind of the process that is disabled and crashes somewhere in the background

• Satellite L300-11F - looking for the replacement of the CPU

Hello all, I am pleased to join this forum preety. I'll start with one of my problems using my laptop, I'm looking for someone who can help me.
I usually play WoW of this unit, but since the time my computer does not help me. The gameplay becomes slow and slower, even taking BSOD-s preety often. I'm not shure what problem I face, but the cooling system is fine (not so much dust), and I don't really know what I need to check.
I think that a CPU upgrade should improve my game & after all the experience with this computer at least a little bit, but for this I also need some advice too.

Where can I see what chipset is my feet bar and then see the list of caught CPU supported?

Will I get an improvement by replacing the CPU and the thermal paste (this way I will not have the overheating problem)?

• ProBook 6570b - are the CPU & GPU extensible?

Hi, I bought a refurbished Probook 6570b running Windows 7 Professional 32 bit. It seems it does not come with the cpu core but rather a celeron B840 1.9 GHz, not more, it has a discrete graphics unit.
