  We seek to design a results page that contains several sections. Depending on the type of job (variable passed to this page), we want to show the different elements, buttons, reports, etc. in each section. Some sections can be used for many types of jobs. The types of employment will increase over time.
  
  I know that we can use the criteria to display of each item to do this, but it seems it will be a lot of work to maintain. What we would really like is to be able to define pages "Sub" and then programmatically display various "subpages" in the home page.

• Join the Session after 3rd party authentication OAuth

  I use 5 APEX and integrate my application with another 3rd party solution. This 3rd party solution uses OAuth2 for authentication, which has a static redirect_url (a successful authentication post) which cannot be defined in the URL to call. Rather, it is defined as part of their application.

  I know it's confusing, so here is the whole process that happens:

  • Web server is Node.js (Express with Passport for OAuth authentication) makes queries APEX proxies to ADR 3 / Tomcat.
  • The user connects to the application of the APEX and gets a new session ID.
    • ex: f? p = 100:1:20953642103077
  • Once logged in, there are a few JS on Page 1 (P1) that detects whether the user has been authenticated with this 3rd party service (call the 3PS for that matter). It does this by looking at a custom cookie that is set by the web server for Node.js (let's call this 3ps_token).
    • If 3ps_token is null, then it will trigger the process of 3PS OAuth and use is redirected to their site to connect and to grant the appropriate privileges.
    • Once 3PS has granted the privileges, the user will be redirected to a predefined URL which is stored as an attribute in the 3PS area. I can't pass in the URL as a parameter to URL redirection and don't have, so no real way to back the session APEX I was coming.
    • The redirect URL is currently going back to the Node.js, which sets the 3ps_token in a cookie, and then tries to redirect to the APEX and 'join' the existing session. This is where I'm having issues as the URL that I provided is/ords/f? p = 100 (as I don't know the original session).

  How can I join my existing session of APEX (in the example above, 20953642103077)? If the following solution here: login page of APEX 4.1 kills the existing session cookie but this would require a custom authentication which I was hoping to avoid. Christian Neumueller-Oracle made a comment at the bottom of its solution join session is not secure. Is their a best practice because this so?

  I have good news for you, we implemented session to return to the APEX 5. It will allow you to have an APEX URLs without a session id. You must first enable this feature in the Administration of the proceedings (see https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E59726_01/doc.50/e39151/adm_wrkspc002.htm#BABJCGAG) and then at the page or application level. Please consider the implications of security in this article, because to return potentially open your application to XSS attacks from other applications on the same server.

  Our company has a dedicated, application built for an ipad that we use to get the documents in PDF format and output video to our sales staff.  I am wanting to integrate DPS folios and need to understand what Viewer is required for the application to recognize the DPS folios?

  There is no way to do it now, we do not offer an SDK to integrate the DPS in another application.

  You could approach this contrast, by building a DPS app that shows folios and use something like PDF4DPS (http://www.pdf4dps.com/) of CrossIP to convert your PDF documents in sheets for display within the same application.

• Buttons and objects multiple multi - State

  I'm curious to know whether something is possible. Basically I have a multi-state (named quarterbacks) object that contains some images. You can browse through these pictures through a slide show of two buttons (previous state/next State) system. Inside State 2, I wanted to add a button that when you click on it, accesses another object multi-state (called text) and would then be the text (which is my 2nd State in the text). Normally I double employment with the State of object and add some text in the same multi-state object, but since this is a slide show, I would not want the next button to access the same image with text. Sorry if this is a little confusing. Any help on this would be great, thanks in advance!

  I have a few images that I use as backgrounds on the edge.  If I assign function Masquer() the computer always treated it the image behind the scenes?  I'm trying to maximize the usability of my site then I would that the graphics are treated effectively.  I thought I might have to remove the image on the click of the mouse and then recreate on another mouse event.  Another idea was to integrate the image into another html page and pull it in dynamically

  When you use the jQuery masquer() method, then you're basically by setting the property OFF display, which actually translates the element is more displayed in the DOM. The masquer() method is convenient to use if you want to reload the item at a later date using show(), or if you just want it not rendered in the browser more.

  If you really want to nuke the page element, and then use the remove() method.

• Streaming video live on my site

  Hey all, I have Flash media server, flash media live encoder and flash cs5. I'll be using flash media live encoder to broadcast the webcam on my site and my office. My current host (host gator) is not active rtmp on their web hosting plan, only on their dedicated and vps. My question is that I have to move from the hosts to one who has active rtmp so I can post on my site for people to see?

  We have tried a lot to solve this problem, but still getting the same error.

  I would use the page template for this kind of thing and page 0 more to user interface components common (the example often cited is a region of reusable navigation accessible on multiple pages).   I'm trying to integrate a device of the NAC solution in a network where all domian servers and application servers are Windows 2008 64-bit.

  Could someone help me to confirm if Active Directory (AD) on Windows 2008 is not taken in charge and tell me what alternatives exist to authenticate users who consider that it is not possible to make any changes on the server. They will continue to be Windows 2008 64 bit.

  The original idea was to use AD SSO to authenticate users, but I read that it is not supported on Windows 2008 64 bit.

  Arturo,

  You can use LDAP. Configure an LDAP authentication provider and have your customers to provide their credentials.

  It will not however a single code access scenario. They would have to enter their credentials again on the NAC agent.

  Support for 64 - bit is on its way and will be out in the new versions soon.

• I want to integrate images, such as when you click an image in the pdf file, another image appears as a popup...

  I have a pdf file that deals on the product description. I want to start with a picture of the interface and a link on the next line says "Expand". This link will open the image of the interface with the highest resolution. I can't find a way to incorporate another image... I'm not flipping... When I click on the link, then only, the image should appear as a popup... I have Adobe Acrobat Professional... but cnt find a relevant option for this task...

  As Dave said, you can create a button to show/hide a layer.

  You also have a button which shows/hides another button.

  First create a button with the image you want to appear under the icon and then hide it (button properties > General > hidden)

  Then create another button which shows/hides the first button when the user clicks on (button properties > Actions > show/hide a field action)
