  Hi all

  I intend to incorporate Hyperion Workspace and Shared Services with OBIEE.

  The environment is windows server 2008 R2 64-bit OS, Hyperion 11.1.2.3 64-bit, Obiee 11.1.1.7 64-bit and the database is Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2.0.1.0) - 64-bit.

  We plan to install the EPM system on the same computer on which Oracle BI EE or BI Publisher are installed, can I install two different homes of Middleware? are can I install unique Middleware?

  What product I nead install first? (I plan to install Hyperion first, then set up once I intend to install and configure obiee is correct process)

  After the installation and configuration of hyperion products both obiee I nead to set up all the extra activities for the integration of hyperion (workspace and shared services) with obiee?

  1. I was faced this problem recently, and the solution is very simple. Go to your browser-> internet settings-> language settings-> add English WE here.

  When you use the Windows XP Mode integration, it fails; continues to try again and finally I cancel it. The same newspaper for Virtual PC on the host computer has the following error message: Windows XP Mode integration error 'failed to connect in place inside the "Windows XP Mode" VM on channel 0 on the... named pipe endpoint XP, TCP port 3389 with the 0x8007274c error mode. This error occurs every time, but I don't know why he is successful a few times and sometimes fails. This question was in another post and mentioned the removal and resettlement components of integration, which I've tried, but it did not help. I also checked that I have the latest version of the integration components (v. 14.1.7600.16403). I have a separate instance of Virtual PC that I brought over my old XP machine and it was never a problem with integration. The problem with the image in XP Mode occurs also, regardless of whether or not the other Virtual PC image runs. Only the image of the XP Mode has this problem. I suspect it's perhaps a conflict of TCP port in the named pipe, but if so, I don't know how to solve. Thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to offer advice.

  Thanks for the reply. I tried to reinstall the integration features in the past, but the problem has come back at a later date. A few days after I posted this request for assistance, I needed to log out of Windows 7, so I hibernated the XP Mode image. Then, I opened a session in Windows 7 and thought I'd give it a try once again, and it worked this time! I did nothing special. So hopefully that will happen in the future, just as it went and on the past few months. Enjoyed your attempt to offer advice, however!

  Well install the Oracle database is located on a separate server installation of hyperion, it is quite common.
  As long as there is a good connection between the machines, you should be fine.

• ERP Hyperion Integrator training?

  I was looking through the Oracle training available in the field of data integration, specifically of FDM ERPI and did not find anything. Such training is there? There is no such specific training outside the FDM training itself or because it is a module/FDM adapter?

  Oracle training does not currently exist. ERPi uses ODI & FDM. You might consider the former if you're looking to get into the more technical aspects. If you are looking for more functional, you can consider contacting an implementation partner to design a course for your organization.

  I DID RESEARCH a LOT, I just want to know when to use odi with fdqm and when just use fdqm alone, and why? and I can configure source map in fdqm and how? and fdqm supports importing flat files as a source and if so what sound adapter?   I could see the excruciating pain, who know you. I will try to answer to the issue (among many others).

  1 ODI and FDQM, ODI can be assumed as a traditional ETL tool (infact it's ELT), while FDQM is not his sacred anymore to defend its financial data. For more information ODI, John blog is without a doubt the best resource.
  2. "all using FDQm", I would like to contact this way - there is a demand of HFM and data must be loaded from 3 different georgraphies of their respective (scales of audit) TB. These 3 different geographies have 3 different formats by the CT but nevertheless we must go in a single application of HFM. Then, you would use FDQM to load the data into the application of HFM. This also answers your question that, Yes, the flat files can be loaded. In our case, TB can be in flat files as well.

  3 adapters, if we intend to load data in applicatino of planning, we have separated adapters, if we intend to load in HFM, then we have HFM adapters available. You can find this information in the "readme" of FDM docs

  4. as said earlier, FDM is not an ETL, its responsibility is to verify the quality of financial data. Therefore, the name "data qualtiy management financial. Now, the classic scenario in many implementations is that data so loaded directly from Oracle Apps or EBS (in abbreviated ERP) in Hyperion applications. In this case, we use FDM with adapter called ERPi.

  Now, if a financial analyst looks at a number in one of the data forms HFM and realizes that it may not be true and questioned the quality of financial data. It can drill, return of the form of data in the source system EBS with the help of FDM. It is one of the major advantages.

• Can't see integrating ERP in the workspace

  I installed and apparently correctly configured integrator of ERP on 11.1.1.3, Windows 2003 R2. Now when I goto workspace-> Browse-> administer I see not the ERP Integrator. Remember I don't have ODI, installed (for various reasons) on this machine. What is the cause of the problem? I am aware that until I configured ODI I can't really use ERPi, but I just wanted to check.
  
  Also when I goto the following link: http://machiney:6550/aif/faces/setup/Main.jsp, I get a message saying that I am not allowed to access this page. I am logged in as administrator.
  
  Moreover, I restart the services and I also tried to restart the server. Did not work.

  Hello EssbaseApprentice,

  Any product that is either installed/configured/deployed through EMP Configurator AFTER the workspace has been deployed will not appear within the workspace. It is body configuration of the workspace stores static content in a. The Application layer XML file and is not dynamically pushed. You will need to redeply workspace for all changes reflected and demonstrated.

  Also you can't go directly to most products from v11.1.1.3.00 they will charge the SharedServices SSO token to process because most of the products will not have a direct login page in the future. Workspace will be a requirement.

  How DRM will understand that this list of 10 criticism comes from a TEC...

  The best way to think of the analogy is this: a hierarchy in the DRM is a dimension in Essbase. I have the following hierarchy of DRM

  Accounts (level 1 member)
  Assets (member of level 2)
  Treasury (level 3 member)
  Checking account 1 (level 4 leaves)
  Petty cash Loc 1 (level 4 leaves)

  I exported my the account dimension hierarchy in the cube. Any structural changes (ie the additions, deletions, changes) would be reflected in my hierarchy DRM (for example to add another account of petty cash for Loc 2) so next time I export to Essbase change (in this case the Bill would be picked up). DRM, one of the property tabs would be properties Essbase, so I exported the Leafs and/or members where appropriate according to my cube with properties appropriate essbase for the storage of the uda, formulas, etc...

  The advantage to the use of DRM is that the changes are captured in DRM (with logging and detail for the SOX) after having been once. I can then export these changes to 1 or more cubes depending on whether the change is appropriate for this cube. I make the change once and then export. I don't have to make the change in each cube and the change is uniform in all my cubes. If the change is appropriate, it is a good thing. DRM allows to reduce tedious maintenance cube and ensures consistency and because you can force the validation and/or verification, you can preview changes before going to external systems downstream.

• Tried to replace the video card integrated with card pci-e x 16 and lost audio - help please

  Is this normal - when you replace your car video with a pci-e video card you would lose your sound.  The system I have is a Pavilion a1450n and has 3 pci slots and 1 pci-e.  I changed the pci-e video in the bios and everything is fine, but no sound at all.  When I took out the card then I would sound.

  Please help.

  The former system of video seems to give me a little trouble.  He keeps hide and freeze from time to time.  Don't know when that will happen.  But when this happens, a blue screen it freezes or just blanks out and comes back.  It will happen nobody knows.  Everything else works fine.  Hate to give up this old gem - for a lot of software installed to lose.

  Yes, when you have an old PC where the BIOS does not have HDMI.

  Your PC thinks that you have installed a sound card and a video card because of the HD audio chip on the video card.
