I downloaded on: http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/swdDetails/?sp4ts.oid=3459245&sp...

How to activate it?

Any ideas? Thank you

Hello:

Unless you plan to control (which means the installation of software, etc. a network environment) your PC on a corporate network, there is no need for AMT.

I leave this option disabled and I check the box to display the message, and I run msconfig and uncheck AMT to start.

All I wanted was the driver to install the material of TN (Comms Simple PCI and PCI Serial Port Controller).

However, you asked the question, then, here's the document you need to know how to activate AMT...

  • T61p + Windows 7 64 bits + Intel AMT/drivers.

    Hi all

I recently installed Windows 7 x 64 on my T61p (6459-CTO). I installed the drivers and all devices and market very well except two:

    1. PCI serial port
    2. PCI Simple Communications controller

After a failure to find drivers for these, I googled the question and found that it is most likely associated with Intel AMT. So I tried Windows 7 for Intel AMT drivers for my laptop but I do not see everything.

I have installed and run Lenovo System Update v4 and it doesn't have picked it up while the Lenovo ThinkVantage Toolbox Diagnotics warn that the drivers are missing for 2 devices. However, it is not too show where to find.

There seems to be a lot of posts for the same problem for the models T400/T500 but nothing for the T61p.

    Any help would be appreciated!

  • Disable/remove ME Intel (AMT / AT) on Z220

    Hello

Ho doe I correctly disable or remove all the Intel ME (AMT / AT) features on all our Z220 and Elite 8300 since we don't use or need?

    Thank you

    McL

On the Z210, the Intel Management Engine can be disabled in the BIOS settings and I probably should disable this feature myself...

As your Z220 owes much to my Z210, look in the BIOS and under the < advanced > section you should see < AMT Configuration > and in, you should be able to assign < AMT > < DISABLED >. Who should do the trick to turning off this feature, that you do not use.

It is interesting to read the Service Guide, which can be downloaded from HPZ210 Maintenance and. This document usually contains useful information and should really be delivered with the machine, but HP does not provide the User Guide and some safety manuals...

  • Intel AMT T400s: Can´t access Intel ME Bios Extension

    Hello

Im trying to get AMT working on our devices of ThinkPad T400s. I have instaled the bios most recent and amt firmware and still not be able to access the BIos Intel ME Im Extension. I tried CTRL + P and F2 and other combinations. Can someone help me?

    Best regards Malta

I struggled with this as well for a bit, the path to get there is not logical, but it is here:

Press the blue button (Thinkadvantage)., press F12 for a temporary boot device. If AMT is enabled in the BIOS, you should be able to see . Press, enter "admin" as password and you get invited to define a new advanced Word, once this is done you can view all of the AMT settings.

A release with support from Lenovo.  They said deployment of the AMT/drivers via update of the system was not possible and showed me the driver package for SCCM for all drivers for the M92p.

Personally, this sounded like BS, and I refused to accept their answer.  Before I left for the day I was able to manually add the c8amt19us17.  My mistake was to have initially this marked as not active test.

  • T400 resume mode after breaking with Intel ME features

    Hello

I have a Lenovo T400 with XP SP3. Eve was always works well, but yesterday, I disabled the functions Intel ME and AMT in BIOS and also disabled the Intel AMT services in Windows.

When I pressed the power button on this morning, I heard the hard drive upward rotation, but standby indicator is stuck on and the screen is not triggered. I had to force a power off to regain control.

The prime suspect is the technology of Active Management, because I have not installed anything special that can interfere with power management. For now, I did have time to try to roll back the changes that I made, but I'm wondering if anbody has similar problems or has an explanation ready, before you start to do things that can aggravate the problem.

    Thank you

    /_urka

Reset the security chip, as suggested in another thread tobes78, fixed the problem.

My T400 working properly for a few days now.

Before resetting the security chip, I tried all the following without result, but some updates may be needed to fix it to work:

    -updated BIOS

-update drivers ACPI and PM software

    -Disable Intel ME and AMT

I left ME Intel / AMT disabled, because I really didn't need and I dared not try to again.

However, he is not sure if the problem was caused by a firmware or a hardware fault and that can cause problems in the future.

    Bye,.

  • Intel Anti theft Service with my new X 1?

Hi, just ordered & received my new X 1 with a core i7 last week.

Interesting and educational follow-up of the laptop straight from China to the United Kingdom via UPS...

In any case, everything seems to be in order, apart from a small little thing occurs.

I noticed an icon in the systray "Intel Management Engine" running on the operating system installed, especially the Intel Anti theft technology service.

My question is how to register and activate it? There is NOTHING in the software or the printed documentation that came with the laptop explaining this. There are no buttons on the screen to config the systray allowing you to do anything.

When I opened the systray icon, it says:

    Intel AMT: enabled

    Intel to: enabled

And if I arrived at Intel in tab, it says: "State the last system startup: not registered.

How the hell should join me? I tried to go to intel to THE Web service, and basically, you need to register, however, for the record, you need a code any. Their Web site contains the code should have come printed on the slip with the laptop.  I have the portable computer box came in front of me as well as all documentation - there is absolutely nothing mentioning Intel AT, no code or something of the sort.

Is this service AT something you have to pay extra for?

I would suggest that Lenovo includes more information about Intel to with their Intel laptops that have Intel software pre-installed. I'm a professional yet found systray options from Intel to very confusing.

    What should I do?

  • Why can't I access the Intel Management Engine BIOS?

    I have a Dell Precision Tower 5810 running Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit.

My system has an integrated NIC (Intel 1217-LM Ethernet connection)

You're supposed to be able to access the Intel Management Engine BIOS by pressing Ctrl-P, when you see the screen that tells you to press Ctrl-P to enter MEBx Setup - but the screen never appears when I reboot everything by attaching masking tape on the F12 key.

I have reason to believe that DHCP can be sayabled in the BIOS Intel Management Engine & I need to enable because my optical fiber ISP uses dynamic instead of static IP addresses IP addresses.

MEBx is VPRO no INTEL Management Engine.  If you have an INTEL CTRL P then there will be a white sticker inside the case with a number.

If it's a 3 MEBx is disabled permanently at the factory.

Unless the laptop is used in a managed corporate network (IE, if it's your personal computer) you can safely disable the engine Intel AMT in the bios.  (and uninstall the drivers).  This will free up memory as speed up your startup process.
