  It does not appear that a Dell Latitude E5530 with Intel HD 3000 graphics and a Docking Station advanced brings the possibility to use two external monitors OVER the laptop monitor. Why? Why Dell would push a docking solution that supports supported two external monitors if the laptop monitor would leave when two external monitors are connected to the workstation?   Buenos dias. Tengo a serio problema in el Diseño mi pagina web. El problema are el client buy una pantalla acaba 4 k y el Diseño web mi apparently is ha visto happy condicionado por esto. El problema resident in the web behaved perfectly para pantalla hasta resolutions tamanos 1900 x 1080 pero a mas ancho 3000px resolutions themselves ve as digamos, todo el 'pastel '...   Before referring to other threads or post to say, it's normal, please read below:

  I use a "display-port active to DVI Converter' since I have a KVM DVI switch. The converter does NOT work with the refresh 59Hz rate, but with 60 Hz. Whenever the KVM switch is on another computer for awhile and this computer is idle and puts the monitor on standby as part of energy saving, and I'll be back to use, the monitor wakes up at 59 Hz. Each time, I have to go through it switch back to 60 Hz. After awhile, it becomes tiring. And boring. And begins to drive you first slowly insane and so absolutely crazy.

  It is a laptop Lenovo with an Intel HD 4600, on a dock, using the display out on the dock port.

  Yes, is there a way to disable really this switch back to 59 Hz which is 'of design by the geniuses at Microsoft' maddening boredom, preference of Windows without using external utilities etc. ?

  Ideally, when a monitor will automatically reconnect after disconnecting, the default view is illustrated by the windows. With the help of a switch KVM should not change the default refresh rate settings. There is a specific view which allows you to select the corresponding monitor display modes may not display correctly. You can read the following steps to display modes that your monitor cannot display.

  (Warning: this can lead to an unusable display and/or damage to the material.)

  1. Right-click on the desktop screen, and then click Customize.
  2. Click view on the navigation bar.
  3. Click change display settings.

  5. Go to the monitor tab.
  6. Clear the hide modes that this monitor cannot display.

  Check if the monitor is able to display according to your configured settings.

  I just got new X 230 (makes 12/12). It has intel HD 4000 and processor i7-3xxx-series.

  I also got dock (the usb3 support).

  I have foud some topics saying that x 230 would support 3 monitors, but how?

  I have 3 x full HD monitors, 2 of them is connected with other with VGA and DVI to dock to dock.

  Windows screen settings allows me to activate the 3 monitos, but custom 3rd "wake up" and after that windows manager reopenin of screen it says that 3rd monitor is "disconnected". The Intel tool provides only option for 2 monitors.

  So, it is possible to activate the 3rd monitor?

  Thanks for clarifying the dock you are using by comparing what you found there to the PSRef for your machine, it doesn't seem to be the case. The PSRef States:

  "Intel HD Graphics 4000 in processor, supports external analog monitor via VGA and digital monitor via Mini Display Port; supports two independent screens. "Research on all for X 230 PSRef sheets, I agree, it doesn't seem Optimus technology was available for this machine as all PSRef sheets I could find for X 230 different configurations list only the Intel HD Graphics 4000. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

  We have recently improved Mavericks in El Capitan at work and I noticed some lost (apparently) features. Is no longer, I can click on my downloads on my dock folder and drag a file into a folder in the Finder. When I try to do it now, nothing happens, regardless of the file type.

  It is a small annoyance, but it was very convenient I wanted to download a file and do not have to navigate to the folder that is specific to each time. I often deal with lots of images and files on a single task, so it's much faster to send them all to my downloads and grab them off the Dock since she ordered chronologically downloads it.

• ZBook 17 G3: G3 Thundberbolt 3 dock of Zbook 17 questions

  Has anyone gotten the 200W 3 Thunderbolt Zbook dock and all managed to make it work?  I recently took delivery (a few months late) and cannot operate.  When I plug it (and I made sure each driver I have is also present on the HP site), I start running in a series of questions.

  • Device Manager indicates an unknown device which is shown with an id of vid_174c & pid_3074, which should be a hub 3074 ASMedia superspeed, but none that I try to get the drivers not installed works for this device.
  • All of the USB ports on the laptop stop responding
  • My connected monitors appear, but in Device Manager, I see two copies of the monitors connected through the dock, and each has an exclamation point that the device drivers are not installed.
  • My ethernet seems to work fine
  • Try to install any sort of updated drivers (found in various places on the web) results ASMedia a BSOD
  • The laptop will be bad shut down or restart with the cable in place.  Forcing a hard stop (power button for several seconds) sometimes results the laptop is able to start and other times it simply crashes to the POST screen.
  • Unplug the docking cable, while the laptop is booted up only shows nothing unplugged.  a reboot is required (usually a hard reboot) to get actually the mobile register that the dock is disconnected.
  • Similarly, sometimes after a restart, the laptop will not register when I plug the dock, unless I have successfully completed a cycle of full restart where the laptop is connected to windows without the dock, and then been rebooted (no hard restart) and connected in a second time.

  My current setup is a proc xeon 64 GB of RAM and the graphics card NVidia M4000M (running in only discreet mode via the BIOS settings).  The only ones I haven't installed drivers are Intel video drivers, because I have disabled hybrid graph.

  I'll add a link to the other thread, which has been more active lately, essentially dealing with the same issues.  In this way, we have at least a place to continue the discussion...

  I have a HP Zbook Thunderbolt 3 dock on my HPZbook G3.  I've recently updated the BIOS and the firmware to the latest version to solve other problems 'dock '.  Am now at the latest for both.  The two monitors and ethernet on the work of lightning 3, but none of the USB ports are active.

  Process to update your device

  NOTE: Instructions below is found in the User Guide "Getting Started" to "Implementation of the dock" to "step 2: update your computer.

  Before connecting the dock to your computer, update the BIOS, software and drivers on your computer.

  NOTE: If you do not, the wharf may not work. For best performance, keep all software and drivers on your computer up to date. (See table 1)

  Update the BIOS and the software and drivers:

  1. Go to http://www.hp.com/support. Select the drivers and Get software, enter your model of computer (on the computer service tag) number, and then select search for my product.
  2. Click the link for your specific computer, select your operating system and then download the latest version
