Intel Wireless card

My Dell Inspiron 6000 (pronounced in August 2005) has developed a problem that I decided to reinstall Windows XP Home Edition (SP2)

I am in the process of reinstalling software etc. I have connected to the Internet with the help of Windows Wireless Utility. My laptop has a wireless card from Intel that was provided by Dell. I've always used this card to connect to the Internet and would like to reinstall. I don't know what drivers to download on the site of Dell Drivers. I want to be able to connect/disconnect control using the Fn/F2 keys and have the wireless antenna icon appear on the desktop as well show connection/junction.

Please tell us what I have to do to make sure the Windows wireless utility is disabled, so do not result in a conflict with Intel drivers. I don't want to remove the Windows installation, as it seems a good backup option.

Thank you

David

OK, so I just noticed that the pilot attention sign / troubleshoot sign. Internet works fine, I use the same laptop to download the image. Anyone know why this is happening?

then use the Intel driver update utility to scan your PC for missing drivers. The driver/software you need is Intel Wireless Display.

  • Device could not start - Code 10 - Intel Wireless Card on NB550D

    Hello world

    It's just a normal Toshiba NB550D netbook

The only thing I change is the card inside Wireless: the original is an Atheros common half mini card. Recently, I have the urge to use internet in 5 ghz (frequency).

So, I decided to replace the old with the * half mini card Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN *.
It turns so well. The pilot is not recognized or specifically the windows tries to install the driver but FAIL is reported. Device manager tool shows a "!" next to the network adapter and when I go the properties on the general tab: "* the device could not start - Code 10."

I tried many ways to uninstall the driver and reinstall it again; also tried to download the drivers from the website of toshiba for the network card intel.

Nothing works so far and yes I don't know what to do now.

The possibility that the card intel is broken or defective is eliminated because I checked with another laptop already and just, it worked like a charm.

Please help me solve this problem. I really need to use two strips (2.4 and 5 ghz) internet.
    Appreciate any help!

    > The possibility that the card intel is broken or defective is eliminated because I checked with another laptop already and just, it worked like a charm

    Regarding the error code 10:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/943104/en-us

+ The Code 10 error applies mainly to the problems of hardware driver and devices or compatibility problems between the drivers of equipment and additional software that is installed in Windows. +

I put t think deliver its wireless network card might be a compatibility problem between the BIOS and the wireless network adapter.
All devices are supported by the BIOS.

But the WLan card already appears in Device Manager and so I think that there should not be a BIOS compatibility issue.

Have you checked if the chipset would properly address the Wlan card?

  • Satellite Pro A100 model PSAA3E wireless card driver

    Hello

Hope someone can help, I can't get a driver to work for the card wireless in this laptop, I tried some different drivers now and none doesn't seem to work, I always left with a yellow question mark in device for Ethernet Manager comtroller (and PCI device).

Appreicate if someone could point me in the right direction, I have tried all the drivers on the Toshiba driver download site with no luck. I have to go to the website of intel, perhaps? If Yes, how can I find out what model Intel wireless card I have.

    Appreciate any help

    Thank you.

Are you sure that you need a WLan driver?

Ethernet controller can be a LAN card too.

First check that the card has been recognized in the Device Manager.
If the network adapter is then you certainly need a WLan card.

I think you should check out if you can install the Atheros WLan driver because it might be possible that your laptop was equipped with Atheros 11 b/g wireless network card.

Check out this page of WLan from Toshiba:

  • Qosmio X 500 / 02 G-wireless card replacement

Hi everyone, I need to find where the realtek wireless card in my laptop X 500/02 G I want to swap more for a better card to use on my desktop in my computer room.

my laptop comes with a card Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless LAN 802.11n and when the laptop is on my desk, it connects to my router Wireless N 30 feet more distance, but strength is not very good and it does not connect to the internet sometimes, or its slow.

I have a laptop Satellite A350 as well who has a card Intel(r) WiFi Link 5100 AGN in it, and if I'm sitting this laptop at the same place as I get up to 5 or 6 Mb/ps connection/download speed where the card realtek gets under 1 Mb/ch

I want to remove the A350 Intel wireless card and put it in my qosmio but I can't find the card realtek under any of the ram or hard drive cover under the laptop then I guess the laptop everything based needs in order to access the card to remove it.

I was told the card Intel(r) WiFi Link 5100 AGN is better that the card Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless LAN 802.11n, but why has not done toshiba card wifi accessible in the qosmio.

I can't find a maintenanve or manual for this laptop, only a user guide has nothing on the location map wifi repair.

    any help appreciated.

    Hello

As far as I know the NIC wireless on the Qosmio X 500 is placed under the keyboard if you want to have access to the wireless network adapter, you must remove the keyboard first.
    Can you do it alone?

Please be careful with this stuff. Unauthorized action can cancel the warranty.

  • Satellite P100-429: Intel Wireless Wifi Link 4965agn card is not compatible?

    Hey guys

I have a Satellite P100-429 with a 3965abg to intel, I have a few router purchased months ago Netgear wnr834b n project, then think, it is high time, I upgraded my internal adapter.

I wanted to know if the Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN adapter would fit that is a right with the 3965 swap, as it says it's connection is Mini PCIe card * and I have no idea if it would fit?

    Hello

Yes, she should go, because the W-LAN-mini-card slot is a PCI-Express, so you'll just have to swap the cards. But be careful with the antenna connections, if you bend them too so they break very quickly and then there is NO WAY back and you will pay for the exchange of
the whole cover, where are the antennas of screen.

Best is to contact a local service partner if they exchanged, you don t therefore the risk for the guarantee void if you do something 'not very good' on your machine. :)

    Welcome them

  • Want a laptop 15 t, win 7, Intel: whitelist wireless cards

I read in several places that HP has ceased the practice of the 'white list' wireless cards.  Does anyone know when this stopped?  You want to put an Intel 7260ac in my Envy 15 laptop.

Certainly not having a white list because I know that the series of 15 t-j000 has no whitelist and yours is newer than those. You will be able to install the 802.11ac wireless card. If you need assistance.

  • HP Pavilion 15z-aw000 CTO: Replace wireless card

Can I replace the wireless card Realtec RTL8723BE in this notebook with capable of 5G wireless?

    Hi there @vht1951,

I understand that you are looking for more information on the issue of whether a module compatible to add the functionality of dual band for your laptop is available.

Looking at the: HP Pavilion Notebook PC - Maintenance and Service of Guide from the support page for your model, page 3 (13 of 94 in the pdf file), it enumerates wireless adapters, which is: Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 802.11 ac 1 x 1 WiFi + BT Combo Adapter 4.2.

If you find your model on the HP parts store, the part is listed as: '806723-005 Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 802.11 ac 1 x 1 WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2 combination WLAN fit' and is currently listed as for the remainder.

You can check the site later to see the availability or the other site HP Partsurfer, to see if you there is a seller who might already own part.

I hope that helps and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

    Product:

    HP Pavilion dv6928us

    Hardware specifications:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01485372

    OS and information network:

    • Wireless router: ASUS RT-N56U on the latest firmware 3.0.0.4.360
    • OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1
    • Windows Firewall is disabled

    Network card:

    Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN
Drivers updated to the latest version: 13.4.0.139

    • Channel 802.11n for band 2.5 width 20 MHz only
    • 802.11n mode
    • Ad Hoc channel 802. 11B / 11 g
    • Ad-Hoc mode of WMM QoS off
    • FAT Channel intolerant with disabilities
    • Mixed mode Protection CTS automatically
    • Vagrant aggression 3. Medium
    • Transmit power 5. Highest
    • 6 wireless mode. 802.11a/b/g

Steps in trying to solve this problem:

    1. The option "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is also disabled.
    2. I have the power options set to High Performance.
    3. I installed inSSIDer and I'm the only broadcast network on the 5 GHz bandwitdth (so there is absolutely no interference whatsoever)
    4. I spent between the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz and the same thing happens. See below

    Question:

My laptop to find < 50 meters from my wireless router (no walls between the two) and I connected on 5 GHz bandwidth. I get random disconnects all along the day make a red X on the network icon in my taskbar. The only way to correct 'temporary', it's completely restart my computer.

On the other hand, my mother's laptop is in the other room, also connected to the 5 GHz range, ran into problems of ZERO at all.

    What could be the problem?

If anyone else knows this problem, are the only two (solutions)

    • "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" option checked

OR (if this does not work)

    • 802.11n mode Disable

802.11n mode for Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN for operating system Windows 7 and 8 is buggy. Which causes intermittent wireless disconnection.
