Intelligent service (BITS) background stops constantly
I use windows vista and had to take my drive hard return to the settings factory recently, since then, windows update does not work, and I understood her because the Background Intelligent Service had ceased. I tried to restart but he continues to stop saying it will stop automaticallhy if it is not used by other services. I thought that it was because I couldn't find a wuauserv.dll file but have downloaded this now and still the same.
I downloaded a patch and Service Pack 1 and 2, and now just need to update for the updated platform, but until I have windows update work again once I can not get this update.
Someone at - it ideas please... it drives me crazy. FYI the last error code I got from wndows update was 80246008

I spent far too long trying to solve this problem. BITS must be recorded first, before you can even begin to try one of the other solutions here: sc create BITS binpath = "c:\windows\system32\svchost.exe-k netsvcs" = delayed automatic start or restart, or go to Services (run: services.msc) and restart it yourself.

Hey, I heard that the problem was actually the service "background intelligent transfer service" has been collapsed don't know when and how it was stopped. BITS may stop if there is corruption in the Windows files, we can try these methods to solve them.
Method 1: Run SFC scan
I suggest that you can exercise SFC scan and check if that helps. The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions. It is a Windows utility that allows users to find corruptions in Windows system files and restore the damaged files.

If this does not help, follow method 2.
Method 2:
Please try these steps below and check:
- Press the Windows key on the keyboard
- Type command line
- Right click on and run as administrator
Step 1: Run the following command at the command prompt with administrative mode.

Update for Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) 2.0 and WinHTTP 5.1 (KB842773) did a new install of windows... trying to update and it always fails to download... even small jets of microsofts help page and downloaded it... says file is corrupt... tired of this fight to get the puter back up to date
Personal data backup (which none should be considered 100% reliable at this point) then format the HARD disk and do a clean install of Windows. Please note that give repair install (upgrade AKA on-site) will NOT fix it!

Cannot start BITS (Background Intelligent Transfer)

Toshiba Service Station has stopped working - Satellite L500 PSLS0A
I have a Toshiba Satellite L500 PSLS0A-019002 with Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed that I received as a gift from two months ago.
Apart from some do not like the weird and useless (to me) Windows Vista / 7 functions, the Office I get the error message "Toshiba Service Station has stopped working" who proceeds to find a solution, but apparently never find one because this situation repeats itself whenever I start.
On another thread in the forums of Toshiba, someone suggested to download the independent utility called Toshiba Service Station and put it back. I see no such utility listed on the page of downloads for my Toshiba model. Because I don't know what the Toshiba Service Station did (unless it goes by another name - Toshiba Bulletin Board perhaps?), I don't know what causes the error or how to fix.
Does anyone have a more accurate solution?
As the user above has said, you can remove it. It is not important utility and does not have a big problem in your system.

Make sure that the Task Scheduler service is running correctly.

Stop-VM gives message service integration of stop is not available
I have a Windows Server 2012 running Hyper-V of the machine. I have several virtual machines running. I have a powershell script that tries to use stop-vm gracefully shut down the virtual machine and restart it. I'm doing this to put the machine on our field.
After that the machine is added to the field, I do the command stop-vm (stop-VM -
vm). It works fine most of the time, but I have a machine, a machine of Windows 8 that is stubborn. Whenever it says service integration of stop is not available. I did everything for this virtual machine from Windows 8 I did for others. I have the value judgment of Hyper-V Service start automatically, so I don't know why it's a failure. There is no shortage on other machines at random, and when I say randomly I mean it will fail and I run the script again and it will be fine. I increased the time between the start of the virtual machine and make the command stop-vm, thinking that the VM had just enough time to start properly, but that did not help in this case. Because of other things, I do I currently have the firewall completely off on the machine.
This is the first machine of Windows 8, on that I tried this. I have Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2012 virtual machines working with the same script.
I can stop the machine and Hyper-V from a PowerShell command prompt, just not when the script runs. Looks like the script. I'll have to investigate this aspect.

As is usually the case after that I have spend some time to post a message on a forum, I found what was wrong in the end.
I not enable-psremoting to work properly on the virtual machine. When I ran, I received a message on my network on the stock market, and he could not set things up correctly.

Reset.
Stop and snapshot of the virtual machine.
So when I ran my script, I was able to apply the snapshot appropriate to start the virtual machine, join the domain, and then stop the vm without errors.

This means that registration SRM in the inventory of VMware somehow Service has been lost. Did you accidentally uninstall SRM or restored vCenter sauvegardΘ or something like that?
Can you repair the installation of SRM by going to control panel-> programs and features-> VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager-> changes installation. You go through the wizard and vCenter administrator credentials are available.
After this operation, you may have to reconfigure the connection between the servers through the UI SRM SRM.

I have 31K photos in a catalog. It's the only catalogue that I use. Recently, today I imported 84 photos on the same folder I try now to import 200 +. Adobe Epic Fail!
Delete the folder "Lightroom 5 catalog Previews.lrdata" and the folder "5 Lightroom Catalog Previews.lrdata Smart" and disconnected from my USB hub, but not my two external hard drives USB.
I import now.

I know this might be better posted in the Essbase forum, but...
I planning, Essbase, HSS etc running on Windows server and have recently had the problem where Essbase service refuses to stop executing the task to stop all the services of Hyperion.
This has happened on 2 separate customer sites.
Nothing obvious appears in the Essbase.log or on the server event log.
I know its wave, but someone at - it suggestions?

How to activate (BITS) Background Intelligent Transfer Service
I'm cold, not able to update my windows XP Edition sp3 family
Click the Start button, click runand in the Run dialog box, type "services.msc"(without the quotes). Scroll down to find the "Background Smart Services", right-click on it and select Properties. If the service is in a stopped state, click on the Start button to start. Click the Dependencies tab to make sure that all the STIB services depends on, are also launched.

Windows XP updates happens almost every other stop
The update that takes place when the computer is shut down goes frreqently - each shutdowh or so. Usually an update, but sometimes more. I have access to other Windows XP machines without this frequent updating.Is this a problem? Should I be worried?
