Inter routing VLANs with this config

Hi all

I'm looking for clarification, I understand two Vlan need a device to layer 3 to enable routing between them.

I wanted so check if this set up works or not.

Router - Switch A-SwitchB-SwitchC

All the link between router and switch are ports of junction and allows said we have VLAN 10 to 20 on switch C

And two for the router interface to these VLANs.

Device of two different VLANS on switch C can communicate?

If this is not why. I guess, I'm rationalizing is traffic belonging to VLAN 10 crossbar router base and scope and is achieved through the trunk even join router

Yes they should be able to communicate if done correctly. VLAN 10 and 20 must be resources shared by all switches to the router with the L3 interface.

So for host on VLAN 10 to get a host on VLAN 20, the package would take VLAN 10 overall of all switches to the router, where it would get "routed" to VLAN 20 and again on the switches to the host to VLAN 20.

    You mentioned that you use the 'phone YES picture' I assume you have a SF300 - 24 p or p/n command SRW224G4P-K9-NA.  Please be specific with the models of switches you use.

    Using the old SRW series or refreshed in the kernel SRWxxx-K9 (300 series) switch?

    First of all, make sure that you are using version 1.1.0.73 of the switch firmware. This change now or check that 1.1.0.73 is the active image on the switch.

    The switch has two areas to store the firmware images.  It stores the new firmware in the area of the image unused.  The administration for the firmware update Guide and select new firmware for the next reboot.

    CDP is enabled on the switch when using the new software, did not exist with older firmware, where my insistence to upgrade the firmware.

    ( Personally I would prefer that you have a role of catalyst for switching to your CME ISRG2 application, for purposes of support tech.) But this is the land of freedom..)

    I found the following when I added my SG300 - 28 p to a conscious UC500 of VLAN.

    The UC500 was vlan100 of advertising as a vlan voice, configured by Cisco Configuration Assistant, you could try CCP on your ISR.

    I got an IP phone that is plugged into the port of switch in the G7 and uplink to my UC500 via the Gig27 port.

    Re your conclusion: I recommend to keep four static routes to subnets existing on the L3 switch instead of put in a single subnet more great which includes a lot of addresses that are not connected here. Technically, this works if you only use working IP addresses. But you will see some loops if you send something to 192.168.55.50 or similar. The gateway router it will send to the L3 switch that will return to the catwalk. They should understand it's a loop, but still, I would not recommend this type of installation... Add routes for each of the L3 switch subnet...

    I'm trying to get our network out of a topology of flat to work with the hardware I have on the spot I have setup the network and local networks virtual, but could not get any other VLAN to carry. Here is what I use:

    Thanks Daniel, I understand this problem. on the 27xx series switches I was marking traffic on clients without realizing it was not labeled. New network equipment in collaboration with a Cisco and DELL all this background I've ever had to deal with THIS a marking was done automatically.

    I use SDM to configure easy VPN connection and being a newbie I'm fighting with AAA and the creation of the necessary user account. The SDM Assistant said I must have active AAA and a user account. I found this doc from Cisco using google:

    To be honest, I found things really hard Cisco instructions, I don't understand method-list RADIUS Kerberos GANYMEDE stuff so I was wondering if there was simple instructions there to set up the user account necessary to go forward with the vpn Wizard easy in SDM.

    Once you enable the aaa new-model, all applied to the invalid lines previous authentication mechanisms. That's why you should do one of the following values

    Do not issue 'aaa authentication login default local' or if you are forced by SDM, or create a username for yourself with high private, because this command will effect console or VTY lines that their authentication is left by default and require the username and password each time you connect, or you can create a list that has 'no' as a method and apply to the console line to ignore the console authentication.

    Once you enter a username as shown above, you can connect via the console with this username and pass if "aaa authentication login default local" is issued.

    RADIUS and Ganymede methods are servers that has the ability to contain the names of users with more advanced configurations. For simple authentication, you can use local authentication, this is why you should not mess with Radius or Ganymede at the moment.

    Help! My new laptop Toshiba refuses to connect to my router 3Com (f/w 2.06T13) model 3cWDR100A on WPA - PSK. The router only supports TKIP (no AES).

    The laptop, a Satellite P100-160 is under Vista Home Premium with the latest Intel 3945 11.5.0.32 driver and I tried the version of the site Web of Toshiba version mentioned in other threads (and a few other versions also).

    Either way, I don't like latest driver hit with content identical binary files and different date stamps or running of the anonymous installers that have not been digitally signed.

    The problem is that non-encrypted, or WEP works perfectly, but WPA - PSK is not. It fails with a diagnostic message 'timeout for secondary keys. The thing will be very occasionally connect to the network without a timeout (before I tried to improve things with the last pilot about 1 in 20 attempts after a reboot, now it comes rather from 1 to 100). If I can be sure that the password is correct. When it connects everything is fine and stable with excellent signal until the first suspended and then the connection is lost. It's more than a little irritating.

    I see several topics of doom similar networks to Vista support groups. They all seem to hinge around WPA - PSK TKIP and WiFi Intel chipset x 945 in combination with certain models of router. Please can anyone help solve this mess?

    I've seen other threads of networking in Vista by users with this specific Intel chipset and my router model having exactly the same problem and so far nobody has found a solution. I checked the basics of knowledge (MS & 3Com) and tried a few plausible fixes, but nothing helped. I'm out of ideas.

    It seems a little absurd to demote network security to make the latest PC works correctly. Dumping Vista (however tempting) is not an option.

    As you can see this is not Toshiba specific stuff and if there is no 'global solution' I don't really know what Toshiba should do about it. As you all know it should support hardware and software (driver), but if not I don't really see a solution for this.
    Who should offer a solution? Toshiba or Intel?  :|

  • Can see router WLAN with Satellite A100 - PSAANE Vista

    Hello

    I have a satellite A100 PSAANE running Vista Ultimate that has trouble finding WIFI (atheros wlan card). The router is a Siemens gigaset transmitting the WPA2-PSK / WPA - PSK with dynamic channel assignment. In the past, I was able to get a wireless connection to my router with this laptop, but did find it difficult to detect the WIFI network sometimes.

    Active wireless switch. Different WLAN of the A100 see whenever I update the list in Vista.
    Ever - at least most of the time that I do not see my own network.

    Other laptops running Windows XP however found my WLAN in these moments there.
    This implies a malfunction on the A100.
    Update (28/10) drivers for Atheros and Vista resulted in no w-network at all.

    The failure of detection is a recurring event with this router.

    Currently the situation is that no WLAN is detected, then things got worse.

    I had a similar situation with my two laptops Toshiba (new Satellite A200 and older Tecra M1). I was confused why the WIFI network is not visible the two notebooks. After a few reboots (laptop computers and router) I again was able to use the WLAN.

    I do not really understand what was wrong, but now it works again. Try the same thing. Stop the router for awhile and turn it back on.

    Check in the Device Manager to see if there is a peripheral usb modem it without a driver installed. If it's a real modem, as in for telephone line connection, it isn't something you need to worry.

    Because of the concrete walls, I have a weak signal to use the WRE54G to extend my existing wireless network.     Make sure your router's wireless settings and WRE are the same. Try changing the channel on your router, if your router's wireless channel is the default after the procedure, your WRE is unable to communicate with your wireless router.

    Pixels have an RGBA value, where RGB is the color between 1 and 255, and A is the alpha value, carried out by Alpha Composition. For each pixel and it associated the pointer, R = [point], G = [pointer + 1], B [pointer + 2] = and a = [pointer + 3]. Focus on changing the alpha value of your pixels.

    On a side note, I tried to do a very similar thing on another project. I don't know that it is possible, in some way, with a bitmap image.

    We have a Belkin N wireless router + with a USB stick 'slot' in the back with the rest of the cables. The USB option is actually the only thing that made me buy the router in the 1st place! Anyway, it does not work when connected to the router, even if the network is running perfectly. It is a Seagate external hard drive and when it is plugged it's high lights of the page, there is no power cable so that it can be plugged into the wall. NTFS system I think. I use Windows 7. I tried so many different things, trying to connect this dag on drive to the router, I've exhausted all efforts, it seems. On belkin under my model site there a Belkin Storage Manager, but there isn't even a request, is just a plateau that is located on the bottom of my screen, the only thing I can do for her, is shut, it is the only command that opens. Oh and the website says also I can enter my routers address in IE followed by a slash and the name of my seagate... the drive is H, so I tried different versions of H:, tried FreeAgentDrive, etc...
